Wow this place is quite the vibe! Love the beautiful rustic decor and overall aesthetic of this coffee shop. The line was almost out the door and the seats/tables all filled. Lots of people waiting for their drink as well, poppin! That's how you know a place is good!! This is located in Sawtelle, Japan Town, amongst other fantastic food spots. The line went by fast and we got lucky with metered street parking right up front. I was going to try their Golden Latte but found out it doesn't have caffeine in it, they said I could add but then I saw the maple latte. And then in the end got talked into the Iced Earl Grey Brown Sugar Latte which made the most sense lol! You can get maple lattes everywhere nowadays. My bf got their peach oolong iced tea. If you're a fan of earl grey and coffee, this is a delicious mix of both worlds. SUPER good and unique flavor combo!! It's like an earl grey milk tea boba with added coffee!! So flavorful and delicious. Wish it had the boba lol! Would definitely come back for this! IG: @ammysalamii

I needed coffee before my planned 22 mile hike around the Hollywood Hills. 10 speed was open early. The location is a bit hard to find and I drove around a bit, but I did find it. Awesome space and the coffee was good too. Please come and create your own adventure.

I have been at their Calabasas location a few times but it was the first time here. There is no way you can see this coffee shop from any street unless you find them on Yelp or social media. Thats how I found them while in the area for work. Right along the LA River bike path. It's a great spot for bikers I guess to stop by and get a cup of coffee and take a bread or for locals to hang out or work. There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating for that. The ambiance is chill. Customer service was not friendly here, didn't feel welcomed. Very tired looking staff. Anyways the Americano my husband got was good he said and enjoyed it but the cold brew I ordered was watery and barely lasted like coffee. A bit disappointing.

We ride along the river bicycle trail and usually stop at various cafes and restaurants along the way. Coffee is getting pricey especially at these fancy coffee houses. We ordered an iced earl grey matcha coffee drink and an almond croissant. Both the drink and bread were so delicious and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. There are outside tables with shade or you can freeze a bit inside with the a/c on high.

**10 Speed Coffee: A Ride Stop Gem!** After an awesome morning ride with my friend, we stopped by 10 Speed Coffee in Frogtown, and it was the perfect pitstop! ‍ The customer service was outstanding, and James, the barista, is an all-around awesome guy! The coffee is fantastic just what we needed to recharge after our ride. I definitely recommend this spot to all the cyclists cruising by the LA River. Can't wait to come back!

Cute and cool spot tucked away in Frogtown. They have other locations throughout LA but this is the one for the east side. Right by the LA river so it's a pretty quiet area with some good nature vibes. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. Nice place to grab a coffee and some eats and chill for a bit. It was about time for an afternoon pick me up so I opted for a Golden Latte and added espresso (usually made with tea) for an extra kick. This drink is on the spicy (spice) side with turmeric and cinnamon - the good for you drink! They have some baked goods like savory and sweet croissants, cookies, and even some breakfast burritos. Service was friendly and quick. They have some allocated parking spots as well.

Nice coffee shop by the river. They played nice music while I studied. They have parking if needed. I had an everything croissant and an Americano. Both were tasty. They also sell vegan breakfast sandwiches

10 Speed Coffee has become my favorite coffee shop that has a scenic view. It's a great meet up place for people - work, friends or unexpected encounter. A serendipitous encounter at 10 speed coffee shop, as I approach the side entrance my eyes are drawn to a woman sitting outside the patio. She smiled and I politely smiled back. I got my Cold Brew and sat outside across from her. We exchanged a brief smile and went back on our own respective tech devises, her in her Dell laptop, and me on my iPhone scrolling the calendar. I struck a convo by asking her if she has been to this coffee shop, to which she replied "No. I was meeting someone for work and looking for a coffee shop in the area." And then there was silence and she went back on to her (laptop) work. I was ogling at the LA scenery while enjoying my cold brew. Then I asked her if she is ready for the Holidays, and she stated "As ready as I can be; we still have a week." I responded by saying, I am still in the process of buying gifts. After a long moment has passed-minding our own work business, I suddenly turned my head and briefly caught her eyes glancing. Hahaha. Then she gracefully wrap up her work and said goodbye- have a nice day. Minutes later, I walked and got into to my car and then saw her walking towards her Lexus RX vehicle which was parked next to mine. I quickly reversed and slowly exited the parking space. As I drove off, I gave a gentle two honks as a goodbye. ;D Lol. What a good way to end the day.

My husband and I needed a coffee pick me up and found this hidden gem through yelp. You have to pass through what felt like an alley to find it. My husband really appreciated the proximity to the bike path and how the cafe is tucked away. Both food and drinks were delicious and we will definitely be back!

Ordered the turmeric latte and a peanut butter cookie, both were very tasty. The service was fast and efficient. It's a really calming ambiance as well, definitely recommend and will be back!

Cute coffee shop tucked away in an adorable corner of Frogtown I was working in the area and happy to find such a cute lil shop with parking. I tried an iced maple oat milk latte and it was perfect! Not too sweet. I really enjoyed it and the large patio to read my book. Might be a good place to do a little work, but I'm not sure that they have a restroom? Baristas were very kind but took a little while to make drinks.

We ordered the matcha latte and the maple latte (not complete name but something with maple) and it was really good :) Not too sweet just the way we like it. Nice ambience with super friendly staff. In the heart if Frog Town by the LA River :)

Stopped by the newest 10 Speed Coffee location this past Sunday as part of a cycling coffee tour - we hit five coffee shops along the LA River Path (yes, really). 10 Speed might have been our last stop but it ended up being one of my favorites. While the space isn't officially open yet (it's more of a soft launch right now), I loved how quiet, clean, and genuinely good it was. The service? 10 out of 10. The matcha? Also a 10, even if it was my fifth one of the day. I can't wait to return to this new Frog Town gem and I also have my eye on their Sawtelle location next!

This was also my very first time at this location, and I must say it was quite a treat! The coffee shop is conveniently located right across from the Americana, so you can easily street park or park at the mall and walk over. It was busy when I arrived on a Friday afternoon, but there were still tables available both inside had outside. The chairs are not the comfiest, but the shop is still very clean and well maintained! When I approached the counter, I was greeted by the friendly employees who were busy preparing orders. This gave me the opportunity to peruse their unique menu and settle upon a latte to order. My sweet tooth was in effect and I opted for the Tiramisu latte with oat milk and was asked if sweet was ok! I thought it was so cool how you're able to customize the drink as you please and bonus points for no charge for nondairy milk. It was very affordable at $6.85. My latte came out pretty quickly and I marveled at the cocoa powdered topping. It truly tasted like a dessert and was so rich and indulgent yet somehow I didn't feel gross after drinking it. The oat milk was creamy and perfectly frothed and the espresso was well balanced. I had a dance class that night and it gave me just the right amount of energy to make it through the class yet still manage to sleep fine that night! I will definitely return next time I'm in the area as a few other menu items sounded equally enticing and the customer service was so impeccable!

Since it was my first time, I placed the order online. So I don't mess up the order and hold the line by deciding what to order. The pick up process was kind of confusing cause there were no sign for online order pick up. I had to go to the register and ask about the pick up. The young lady who helped was nice and explained how pick up works. Appreciate the helpfulness. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating area. There are several tables inside and I notice couple of tables outside. Store was very clean and well maintained. They also had sample cookies by the register for customers to try which was a nice gesture . This coffee shop is located in walking distance from Americana which makes it a great spot to grab coffee after shopping. There is street parking available and Americana/ Glendale Galleria are another option for parking. I will be back to try different coffees , since the menu looks different than other coffee places.

Cute decor and vibes inside. I wanted to try the pistachio bliss that everyone seemed to rave about but since their seasonal menu was out, I went for the toffee nut iced latte. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side, cute cups though! Something about the drink I got was a little off putting. Idk if it was whatever spice they used but I was not crazy about it. So many people define themselves as experts. Sadly, many of those same people will walk in and say things like, "Gosh, I'm tired, could you make me a double espresso?", clearly assuming that stronger taste automatically means more caffeine. My wife and I simply like a good coffee in the morning. Which leads to the obvious question: what do we define as "good coffee"? For us, it helps us get into the day, tastes pleasant, and does not leave a bitter note. We are absolutely not coffee experts and can discuss coffee, at best, at what we Germans would call "Thekenniveau" -- bar-counter level. I do understand, however, that it may make a difference whether beans were roasted weeks or even months ago somewhere remote, then shipped and stored, or whether they were roasted locally and recently. So we asked ChatGPT, and one of the recommendations was REGENT Coffee in our neighborhood. We went. Our directive was very clear: we explained that we knew little to nothing about coffee, which was precisely why we had come in and were looking for advice. The lady helping us started with: "Well, it all comes down to the settings of your coffee machine when you pour your espresso." I responded that we are not really espresso drinkers -- we drink Americano. She gave us "the look" and explained that an Americano is espresso with more water. The information: fair enough. The way it was communicated: not ideal if your goal is to win me as a customer. From there, the conversation did not really lead anywhere. We were asked questions such as whether we preferred nutty or fruity coffee. That may be a perfectly reasonable question for someone who already knows what those terms mean in practical taste terms. But we had just told her that we did not. That was the entire reason we were there. We were not looking to prove our coffee knowledge. We were looking for someone who had the expertise to guide us. In the end, we bought an Americano. It was served so hot that my wife burned her mouth in the car, and it took almost the entire 45-minute drive to Santa Monica before it had reached what we considered a comfortable drinking temperature. It cost $5. And we did not even particularly like it. Would I go again? No. Would I recommend REGENT based on this experience? No. What makes this particularly disappointing is that this was a tremendous lost opportunity to turn us into long-term customers. We like expert advice. We drive to Farmers Markets to buy fresh produce knowing full well that we may pay 200% more for something that is perhaps only 15% better. But we can taste the difference, and that makes it worthwhile to us. Coffee could have been exactly the same. If I specialized in coffee, I would make it incredibly easy for people like us to enter that world. I would offer tastings. I would explain, in simple language, what "nutty", "fruity", "chocolatey", "bright", "smooth" or "low acidity" actually mean in the cup. I might offer a short class on how to set up a home coffee machine properly. Maybe even machine-specific sessions. Maybe in the shop. Maybe at the customer's home. Because there are customers walking through the door saying, quite literally: "We know very little. We want advice. We are willing to spend money." And even better from a business perspective: Not just money once. Continuous money. Imagine if the conversation had instead started with: "I totally understand where you are coming from. Coffee can become unnecessarily complicated very quickly. Since you mostly drink Americano and want something smooth rather than bitter, let me give you two small tastes so you can understand the difference. Then I'll recommend one bean to start with." We would almost certainly have bought a bag. Possibly two. And if we had liked them, we might have bought beans there for years. Instead, they sold us one tiny cup for $5 over the counter, while the payment screen suggested an 18-25% tip. And two potentially very loyal customers walked out frustrated. That, to me, is the real business lesson here. It is not about whether REGENT makes good or bad coffee. Taste is subjective. It is about recognizing the customer who is standing right in front of you. Especially when that customer is effectively saying: "Please teach me how to spend more money with you." And then making sure you do not send them home without doing exactly that. Small caffeine footnote: espresso is more concentrated in caffeine per ounce, but a normal serving of drip coffee usually contains more total caffeine than a single espresso because the serving is much larger. Stronger taste does not automatically mean more caffeine.
