They also have a Long Black on their menu, which I prefer to an Americano since the crema and flavor is more prominent. The inside seating isn't super comfortable but there are additional tables outside in front of their retail store, which is ideal on a nice day. Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. Stopped for coffee and chilled after catching breakfast with a friend. Very much a hipster vibe. This shop really thought she ate but unfortunately she did not :( This is a small coffee shop that has a home goods store right next to it. We accidentally went in there first because there was no signage. We were greeted by a friendly barista who did hype up the menu. The specialty section of their menu is pretty out there. I always try to order from there at coffee shops because it's their own creations that they have put thought into so you'd think they'd be good. Also they do have a restroom! We sat outside along the street and the chairs weren't too comfy and it was loud due to the street being right there but it's not their fault. I ordered the Burnt Sugar Latte and it legit just tasted like a chai latte. No coffee flavor at all. It was just oat milk with a slight taste of spices. Didn't taste anything like the description, was pretty disappointed. I have to admit the black tea was very much just black tea (high quality black tea) but to be honest I have a ton of black tea at home I should be drinking so I made a mistake ordering it. Out of all the local coffee shops, this is my favorite. Sometimes when it's really early and i dont want to be the only one at my office, I come here. I liked the vibes, very cozy but not much seating if you were to study there. Good for reading a book (saw some people doing that) or working on your laptop (other people doing that). I tried to do a mix of both but was unsuccessful, not because of the cafe but because of my own lack of work ethic. I love this place so much. It reminds me of my favorite coffee shop from back home in Pittsburgh. This has really become a reliable go to for me since moving to the area. I've tried just about everything there at this point, and you can't go wrong. The beans are also excellent if you prefer home brews. It has just enough seats and it quiet enough to get lost in my reading. Saw this was about a 10 minute walk from where I parked and decided to stop by. The vibes in this place are super chill and I noticed quite a few people there were on laptops. The cashier was very friendly and saw me with my computer and told me the wifi before I even ordered. With that being said the coffee and croissant I had were pretty good. Interior decor was very hip and cool with wooden bar stool chairs and tables. Upon my entry, I quickly looked for their menu which was posted high up in the wall and there are decent coffee drink and teas to choose from. I decided to order an Iced Latte. And it was perfectly concocted to my liking. Service was on point and prices were reasonable. Moreover, they sell merch and coffee bags. Staff was ebullient, energetic, amiable and professional. Customers were respectful and hippy. Free Wifi available. Parking is mostly metered but there are surrounding public lots. Overall, I had a good order experience and refreshing iced drink. We came in at 5:28pm thinking we had time but as we were walking in and saw their actual hours we realized we were wrong - totally our bad! Had a great experience today at Woodcat. I came in to ask about wholesale beans. I spoke with Eric who was so friendly and informative. He told me about the different blends that he would recommend for cold brew and I got an iced coffee to try. It was very tasty. Woodcat Coffee Bar is found on a busy part of Sunset Blvd in Echo Park and it is awesome! Their Cortado is great. The beans came across as mild and not too acidic. The Latte is not so strong which is not so surprising if you imagine that they used the same beans for the Cortado. They use their own beans, by the way, in case you're interested. There was a bit of a line to order and a short line to get your drink. A POS is set up at what is normally the door to get in the coffee shop. It's now a window to order and to pick up your drink. No entry allowed. Aside from one bench, there is no place to sit and enjoy your drink. This is strictly an order-and-go spot. Taking that into consideration, it is pretty amazing that the block in front of the shop was never vacant for too long, people kept parking, grabbing their drink and then leaving. read more
