Have you ever had a New York Water Bagel? If not, be sure to give 101 Bagel Cafe a try! 101 Bagel is known for their fresh to order boil and bake NY Style bagels. Lucky for you they have several locations across the state of GA, but most were pretty far from me, so I never got to try one until this location in Crabapple opened. I came on a Saturday and they were busy, but I was pleasantly surprised that they still had plenty of rainbow bagels left. I ordered the rainbow bagel sliced and toasted with the regular schmear. The bagels are average size and a generous amount of schmear is given on each bagel. The wait time seemed a little longer than normal for the one bagel I ordered, especially with 6-7 people working, but I think it was because they have only been open a few months and still need some time to learn all the things. And, don't be fooled by their name, they offer lots of other menu items too like muffins, sandwiches, wraps, and bowls! I also tried their "Ice Cubes" Iced coffee. It is such a cool concept where they freeze coffee into cubes and use that for you to pick what ice coffee blend you would like to add to your cup, so that it never melts down! When I was there, I picked the infusion blend, which is a blend roasted with Kahlua, Caramel, Vanilla. I definitely I recommend this blend as it tasted 10/10. We ordered an onion and everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese. The bagels were pretty hard, the scallions needed to be chopped way finer, they were huge, and the biggest turn off of all, the back door of the kitchen was open probably to air it out but that's how bugs and rats enter buildings. Won't be back. read more

Waited over 40min for our 3 bagels, we eventually asked for a refund and left before we got the order. Workers were rude and the cook was just hanging around in the back. Other people left too. Horrible. read more

Food is ok, coffee is average, manager is rude! I was In today and ordered a bagel sandwich and was told to take a seat and they would bring the sandwich to me. After sitting for over 10 minutes and noticing that another customer had come and gone with his order I approached the counter as a sandwich was coming up from the kitchen, I assumed it was mine so when the manager quickly gathers it up and said what it was I accepted the sandwich as mine and went back to my seat outside. I quickly realized that the sandwich I got was not mine so I went back in to report that. To my surprise what I got was an attitude about taking the wrong sandwich and being pressed as to what I ordered, my response to this was not positive as I proceeded to tell the guy that he should treat his paying customers a little nicer. Frustrated with the bad attitude I asked for my money back, as he opened the register the aforementioned customer walked back in to report that he had also gotten the wrong sandwich. Problem solved for both of us as we now had the correct sandwich. All of this would have been acceptable we're it not for the horrible attitude demonstrated by management. So was there an effort made to apologize? Nope, not a peep. My conclusion is the food and coffee are just average but not worth putting up with the attitude demonstrated by management. Food meh! Bagels good! I ordered online and had no choice of bagel flavors or cream cheese. I got a hash brown bowl and bagel with chives and bacon. Bowl had all eggs and meat with a frozen hash brown and half melted Kraft cheese slice on top. I loved the bagels so I will try again but order in person instead of online . read more

Had a great experience today at 101 Bagel cafe! Bagels and coffee were a large portion for a reasonable price. I tried the smoked salmon bagel and absolutely loved every bite! The bagel was large and fresh, they did not hold back on the cream cheese!! I've been to several coffee shops and this coffee did not disappoint. I ordered the caramel macchiato, absolutely fabulous! They even had coffee ice cubes so my iced coffee didn't get watered down! This place completely blew Einstein's bagels out of the water! Highly recommend! Will be back read more

We've come here a couple of times since it opened and we love it! It's an easy place to bring our kids and the food is great. I've gotten the veggie breakfast sandwich both times and my husband the bagel with lox. They have a few games to bring to your table which is nice to entertain the kids while we wait. This place is a disaster. I have tried and been disappointed time and time again. Today we ordered 2 tuna wraps, and a veggie lover's add ham. We picked up our order and upon getting home discovered no ham had been added (although we were charged) and our tuna wraps were like tuna soup. The wraps were so drenched in mayonnaise, they were inedible and we ended up throwing them away. They wouldn't even stay together because they were so runny. I was so frustrated and tried calling the restaurant back to air my disdain and ask for a credit and they were no longer answering the phone (starting at 1:05pm, they don't close until 2pm according to their hours). We have had multiple bad experiences with this restaurant from the wrong bagels when we got home, to NO BAGELS available, ‍, to being rushed out the door at 1:15pm when eating lunch "in restaurant", because the help wanted to close early. The founder of Bagel 101 is a Florida State graduate - dude, you need to get a grasp on this franchise. It's HORRIBLE. I won't go again. read more

I visited 101 Bagel three times now. The first and third time, the line to order was long and the wait for the food to be prepared exceeded 25 minutes, which is ridiculous for a bagel shop. The food is okay, nothing extraordinary. Because I live nearby, I would visit more frequently if the wait wasn't so long. On my last (and I mean last, last) visit, we ordered a blueberry bagel and waited almost 30 minutes before someone came to our table to tell us that they don't have any. This poor service is because they are severely understaffed and shouldn't have even been open to customers if they can't provide quality service within a reasonable timeframe. The manager should fire the employee who walked out of the kitchen and announced to the restaurant "it's 1:30 and I 'm out of here" while numerous customers are patiently waiting for food. In summary, there are numerous better bagel shop options within a 10 minute drive of this joint, and it is worth the extra journey to avoid the aggravation. read more

Terrible service. 25 min wait time for a bagel. The chipotle chicken wrap had one single piece of sliced chicken deli meat then filled with spinach and doused in Mayo that was not chipotle. Just finished eating an entirely cold toasted bagel with lukewarm watery cappuccino. The trouble started as soon as I walked up to order. I ordered 2 toasted Asiago cheese bagels with cream cheese on the side with a medium latte and a medium cappuccino. After waiting at least 10 minutes I received one bagel with a question - didn't you order 2. So now the first bagel is getting cold and I am moving the cream cheese out of the bag to slow the process. Coffees still not started as they are waiting on new walk in customers. Finally the second bagel arrives for me to add to the bag. Still waiting on coffee. Now the manager type person is coaching the front counter employee on something with the register. Still waiting for coffee. One latte made and sitting and I approached the manager type person to ask that my coffees be finished while my bagels are cold. She told the front counter person to credit my bagels. I asked how long they had been open and she indicated they had a soft opening in December to which I replied they need to get it together. I told her that throwing money back at me with a credit does not generate customer loyalty and described how I had gone out of my way this morning to avoid another morning at Starbucks to get a real bagel. Now, I am headed to Starbucks to get a real coffee. I don't normally take the time to write reviews of bad customer service as it seems it could be a full-time job these days.
