    Roast beef sandwich

Food was terrible. My bagel barely had any cream cheese on it, and what was there tasted old and like it had been sitting in a fridge too long. The roast beef was dry and tough. I even skipped a side and asked for two pickles instead and got none. If they can't get the basics right, I definitely won't be coming back.

I ordered a catering package for a close friend at North Fulton Regional Hospital and they were spectacular. The manager reached out to ensure they had the right information to get the order to the patient, it was on time, and my friend and his family said the food was bountiful and delicious (this was the Lots of Bagels & Sweets package). Thank you so much for being such a great help!

My family and I love Bagel Boys Cafe. Whether we eat there or to-go the staff is efficient & friendly. The food is delicious- we love their bagels, bagel sandwiches, the chicken biscuit, muffin, and the drip coffee is also phenomenal. Cannot recommend this spot enough!

Excellent bagels and coffee. If only that one very loud customer who was there here when we arrived and still there when we left would use his indoor voice. I was surprised to find such good bagels in Alpharetta. But then why not? Everyone enjoys bagels, not just people who live in the center of the city. These were actually more the size of Montreal bagels -- not so far and puffy. Fresh, cheery with slightly crisp exterior. I'd certainly visit the Bagel Boys again if I were in the area. Way better than chain store bagels.

Asiago raising bagel and cinnamon raisin bagel

One of the best bagels I've had in this part of Georgia. The Asiago is my go to, it has raisins in it, don't know why that's not said. The cinnamon crunch is delicious. Do not get the cheddar everything, soooooo salty. I stop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Oh, and decent coffee

I wouldn't come back here. I placed my order and the wait was fine. The staff wasn't the friendliest but I've come to expect that most places. There was ample seating inside but I was taking it to go. I got a ham egg and cheddar on an everything bagel and I paid for cream cheese on it, too. The cream cheese was so scant I had to triple check to make sure it was there. I couldn't taste it at all. The egg tasted and felt like it was microwaved. I have had much better bagel sandwiches. My usual place was out of the way and I was starving after my appointment so I came here and I wasn't thrilled with my breakfast once I'd left.

Great food and fast service but the staff always looks like they hate their life. Plenty of seating as well.

My go-to bagel stop near downtown Alpharetta. Like the sun dried tomato bagel. Limited but functional seating. Order ready quickly.

Unfortunately, our excitement quickly faded before we were even seated. When I walked into the restaurant, I was completely ignored by a young blonde employee named Claudia who was standing behind the counter in the waiting area. She looked directly at me and continued what she was doing without so much as a greeting or an acknowledgment. A simple, "Good morning, someone will be right with you," would have gone a long way. Since no one else was in the lobby and I noticed a clipboard on the counter, I politely asked if there was a waitlist. Claudia responded with an attitude that she "wasn't the hostess." I calmly asked where the hostess was, and she simply replied that she was clearing tables. There was no offer to help, no explanation of the process, and no attempt to assist me. She continued interacting with other staff members while I stood there feeling like an inconvenience. Thankfully, another employee who appeared to be a waiter noticed me. He immediately picked up the same clipboard that had been sitting on the counter, took my name and phone number with a cheerful attitude, and let me know it would be about a 15-minute wait. His professionalism completely contrasted with the poor customer service I had just experienced. Once seated, our waiter was personable, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was also very good. I ordered the Chicken Sausage Scramble with hash browns, and it was delicious. My friend ordered the Catfish and Grits and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. The food and our waiter helped redeem the experience, but first impressions matter. Management should ensure that every employee understands that providing basic courtesy and hospitality is everyone's responsibility, not just the hostess's. Even if greeting guests or managing the waitlist wasn't Claudia's primary role, there was no excuse for being dismissive or rude to someone walking through your front door. Alpharetta has no shortage of excellent brunch spots with both great food and outstanding customer service. Sadly, because of the way I was treated before I was even seated, I won't be returning to The Southern Porch. I also won't feel comfortable recommending it to friends or family. It's disappointing because the kitchen and our waiter did their jobs well, but one employee's attitude overshadowed what could have been an otherwise enjoyable brunch.

The restaurant itself is beautiful with a warm, modern aesthetic and comfortable seating. They also offer outdoor seating, which would be especially nice in good weather. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium rare, and it was prepared perfectly--tender, flavorful, and exactly how a steak should be done. The sides were equally good. I had the fire-roasted broccolini and a salad with a house-made blue cheese dressing that was excellent. Service was fast and attentive, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. As someone who recently moved to the Southeast from the San Francisco Bay Area and spends a lot of time traveling for work, I'm always looking for memorable meals on the road. While the hotel itself was fairly typical for a business stay, the restaurant was easily the highlight. Insider tip: If you're staying at the Hilton Alpharetta, it's absolutely worth dining here rather than leaving the property. Overall, Harth was a fantastic dining experience and I'd gladly return the next time I'm in the area--even just for the restaurant.
