I cannot thank Ozzie enough for his incredible work and his reasonable pricing. Not to mention, his apt responses to his messages! My only criticism is really of my own personal excitement and anticipation--I couldn't get my pieces back soon enough, because of having to special order a couple of the settings, and due to the intricacy of one of them. (The turnaround time overall though, was 2 weeks for 5 pieces--you can't beat it, nor can you beat the pricing) In the pictures are Before and Afters of some personal family heirlooms. One of which was given to me by my child's father, and the rest were from my late mother. (Rest in paradise, Mom) I had them cleaned, polished, reset, and resized; however my personal favorite is the white gold diamond heart ring. I had Ozzie remove the original tiny diamond, to replace it with a larger one, and two additional diamonds. The way that he was able to add the diamonds without jeopardizing the integrity of the original design is really what impressed me. I'm very pleased with the final result, and am looking forward to the day I can pass it onto my son for his own union of love, that way he still has a part of his father involved. As for my Mother's beloved pieces, they are mine to keep for Remembrance, and to always have a part of her with me. I love you Momzie. He also replaced a tiny battery in a small Winnie-the-Pooh keepsake pocket-watch that used to be mine when I was much much younger, which truly meant a lot to me. I cannot recommend 101 Jewelers enough! It's a small business ran by two people (that I saw). They are so friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My items were finished the day I was told they were. They take their time with each of their customers and explain everything in detail. I brought my son's bracelet in to have a clasp added. It was my husband's grandfather's 1960s Swank ID bracelet that is silver plated brass. We had previously made it smaller for our son's wrist and needed to replace the clasp. I asked the owner if he could polish it and he explained the difference in plating methods in the 60s to now, and how he couldn't polish it because it would damage it, but he was able to clean it up. The clasp looks great like it was an original. The owner had explained how he would need to order the parts and even each step on how he would add the clasps. My cross was looking dingy and needed to be polished. I picked it up and it came back looking brand new! Oh and they sell the original Kit-Cat clocks too. They have other beautiful original turquoise pieces. Definitely check them out and support a small local business! read more

My watches needed a battery replacement and every quote I got was just... crazy. Someone quoted me about $50 to replace my watch battery. A battery that is $1 and take a couple minutes to replace. No way. The cheapest I found was $30 each (I had two watches so it would've been $60 total for 2!!!) but kept searching. Then I came across 101 jewelers who quoted me $9.95 each plus tax. DEAL!! Family trained and owned by a local couple who are young, talented and energetic, the work and value of same is simply outstanding. Their shop is far from fancy, devoid of any ostentatious trappings with their two dogs on killer alert (not serious-just two small well behaved pooches) and prices clearly posted. If there was any such animal as a hole-in-the-wall repair shop, this would be it. I trusted my 50 year old Rolex in Ozzy's hands and could not be happier. First of all, when I messaged to see if he could even fix my bracelets, he responded very quickly. One was an easy fix, the other not so much. I had a bracelet that I paid almost $300 for that I assumed was sterling silver. It was in parts, but not the links. Anyway, Oswaldo replaced all of it with sterling silver links and it didn't take long. Also, the bracelet is prettier than the original!
