I had my Apple Watch battery replaced (my watch was a few years old). Although it was fast, courteous service while waiting and at a good price ($79), one huge negative soured me -- The non-OEM battery installed was poor quality. The charge only lasted half a day which was worse than the old OEM battery that was below 80% capacity. I then went to Apple to try to try to get it replaced with an OEM battery. I was initially relieved that Apple will still service it. However, the usual Apple $99 battery replacement fee only applies to batteries below 80%, even if it's a third-party (after market) battery! Otherwise it will cost $349 at Apple, so I just decided to upgrade my watch to the newest version (Apple Watch 10 as of the time of this writing). It really sucks that iSquad's cheap battery led me to having to get a new Apple Watch sooner than I wanted to (and having to give up the O2sat sensor feature! (No longer available on newer Apple Watches). You get what you pay for! read more

I came to this shop to have my iPhone screen replaced. Not long after the repair, the screen started lifting out of the phone -- a clear sign something wasn't done right. They repaired it under warranty the first time, but then it started lifting again. As soon as it did, the pressure caused the screen to crack. Now they're telling me the crack voids the warranty, even though the crack was caused by the screen lifting -- the same issue they supposedly fixed before. When I explained this, the man I spoke with said I should've brought it in before it cracked, which makes no sense. The crack happened the moment the screen started lifting. How was I supposed to predict that? They've shown no interest in taking responsibility for their poor repair work. Instead, they're offering me a "discount" to pay them again -- for a third attempt at something they've already done badly twice. I won't be going back, and I recommend you don't either. Although the shop is not much, I dropped off my iPad pro and had it back in a few days. He was responsive with texts and calls. My iPhone 7 malfunctioned and speaking with tech support (elevated to senior-level) at Verizon they had me take out my sim card. Without getting into how it happened, the sim card was put back into the phone WITHOUT the tray and it was stuck. I first went to Verizon in Encinitas and they wouldn't touch it. But they recommended I take it to iSquad in La Costa. Arriving at the small store in the Sprouts shopping center I was welcomed by Chris, the Manager. He had both a good sense of humor and also confidence and knowledge. He proceeded to quickly open the phone and get into the backside of where the sim card chamber is. He gently nudged it out and then placed it correctly in the tray and then put the phone back together. Not only did the Verizon signal come back on, but the audio problems were magically corrected. The Verizon tech guy told me that everything was working on the phone (after he tried many different changes) and he said it was possible the SIM card was dirty and needed to be cleaned off. Well he was correct, but I needed Chris to take the phone apart to really make it all work. I highly recommend Chris to everyone who needs repairs. He definitely does 5-star work! read more

I am beyond impressed with this place. I brought my Samsung s8+ in to have the screen replaced because it was cracked and the touchscreen was beginning to become unresponsive. They got me in quick, and were able to get the new screen installed in 30 minutes. They also installed the screen protector for me as well, something I always have trouble with doing myself. After spending a total 1 hour and 4 minutes with Microsoft at 1-800-642-7676, including the two disconnects, I was told my Surface Pro had a hardware defect. Because the product is no longer supported, they transferred me their sales department which "generously" offered me $7.50 as a trade in. Insulting. Because of my years of computer diagnosis, I felt that was an incorrect assessment. The error was clear: User Password ATA Failure. PASSWORD FAILURE. I thought, "OK, I may not have the tools to sort out the drive, but I'm certain someone who does have the tools can sort this out. I took my LG phone with cracked back glass into this shop. The guy behind the counter seemed very cool and knowledgeable. He gave me a price quote which was fair (about $70). I said OK and he told me he would order the glass from his supplier and that it should be in by 3 - 4 biz days later. They said they'd call when it came in. I was in no hurry since the phone still worked. About 2 weeks later I realized they still hadn't called. So I called them and asked what was up with the part. This time I was obviously talking to a different person. He said hmmm we don't have that part. Let me look. About 10 minutes of fumbling around later, he finds my original request and tells me that the shop owner hadn't ordered the part. Next he says this is an ongoing problem and the guys that actually do the repairs aren't allowed to order parts....only the owner. He says he'll bug the owner again about getting the part in but couldn't tell me how long it would take. I said forget it. read more

Really impressed with these guys. They have high expectations for there business and service and it shows. We dropped my boyfriends phone off expecting to leave it for hours and Grant informed us that "unfortunately he was very busy and it was going to be closer to 45 minutes" we were thrilled it would be so fast! Lol. His phone was done quickly and it looks good as new. Fast forward a few weeks later when my dog ate my iPad. Isquad to the rescue they worked me to get it up and running. The screen looks prefect. Can't say the same for the back, it's forever a mold of my dogs mouth. But that's on my dog, not them. My only complaint would be they heavily push the cases and screen protectors but it's a business and that makes them money so I totally get it. If you have a broken screen go see these guys.
