I stopped in for a weekday lunch with my manager having never heard of this restaurant, not realizing that perhaps this is a chain restaurant? She says that it is and I'm super surprised! The layout is nice and balanced, the food delicious (I had the steak salad which was an excellent portion and cooked exactly right) and the service was on point. The waitress was exactly the right amount of attentive and the atmosphere was great for a conversation. No blaring televisions or too-loud music to get in your head or ears. I'm going to preface this by saying I have worked in the customer service industry for several years, so I usually have a lot of patience in similar scenarios because I know how tough it can be sometimes. However, my experience at this restaurant is the ONLY time in my entire life I've left a restaurant without even placing a food order. Initially things started out just fine. We made a reservation, and were seated at the table. Our waitress promptly took our drink order and about 2 minutes later she asked us if we knew what we wanted to eat. Since we had just gotten the menu, we were still looking so we said we needed just a couple more minutes. Boy was that a HUGE mistake. After we decided on what we wanted, we waited patiently for our waitress. She was literally right behind me talking to other customers so I didn't think much of it. We figured she'd be over in a couple minutes.. NOPE. 5 minutes go by. Okay, no big deal, we're in no rush. But then 10 minutes go by. 15 minutes go by....and shes STILL laughing and talking with the same customers. We ended up waiting a total of TWENTY FIVE .....YES....TWENTY FIVE MINUTES before we finally decided to leave. Only after we fully got up and walked away from the table did she finally decide to turn around and watch us leave the restaurant. Needless to say, we got food elsewhere. I'm so glad this place was open and following adequate protocol during this pandemic. I went here for the first time for my bday exactly 1 week ago, and it was one of the best dinners I've had in quite a while. Everything we had that evening was on point. From the service to drinks and the actual meal. The most outstanding and have to recommend is the crab Rangoon... Omggg that appetizer was incredibly delicious and unique to me. Their restaurant made potato chips and pita bread wowww! I definitely RECOMMEND IT! U can't leave there without trying it. It's little pricey, but portions are very generous. My family and I had a great dinner last Saturday night. We went to this restaurant because they have won awards for having excellent care for those with food allergies. One family member has a problem with gluten. They have a whole different menu for GF. Same meals but prepared with the allergy in mind. We, unfortunately, had a small mix-up with the rolls. We didn't notice that the rolls that were brought to us were not delivered by the manager and did not have the allergy toothpick on them. Before we realized the mistake, the person had taken a bite. It was then the manager brought the GF roll over to us. We told him that we had asked for all of them to be GF. He asked to see the rolls that were delivered before. It was then we realized the mistake. Our family member got mildly ill due to the bite she had taken. Thankfully she recovered enough that she could enjoy the rest of the meal. The server was reprimanded for the mistake. I want to let you know that the manager was very sorry for the mix-up and he kept coming back about every fifteen to twenty minutes to make sure that our family member was doing well and not feeling any worse. I applauded this manager and the level of care and commitment he showed our family. He even comped part of our meal. Last Sunday I went to this location for the first time after a horrendous experience last summer in Saugus. As a result of that fiasco, I was given a gift card to use in any location. Well, we were thrilled with this location -- the food, the vibe, and excellent service from Andrea. Andrea was friendly and efficient while making sure our experience was perfect in every way. I'm disappointed cause inside 110 Grill is a good layout, solid vibes, lots of TVs to watch our beloved Patriots, and our server Judy was THE BEST - a sweet angel. But the food was below expectations for me. My meal was the kale Brussel salad with salmon and the salmon had no taste, nothing, nada. The salad was very bland but the description had my so excited. For an app we ordered the bbq chicken nachos - which I will say were good, but no even distribution of toppings. Only the top layer had all that BBQ chicken goodness and the three layers underneath... just chips. Womp, womp. My family had some different thoughts which I do want to touch upon. Daddyo got the French onion soup and expressed it as bland, "not up to dad standards." The rest of the fam said it was okay, the broth just lacked any flavor. One sister got the Cuban with onion strings and expressed that the strings were one of the best she ever had (crispy and thin people). Sister number two got the chicken caprese which I tried and didn't love, but she highly enjoyed it - it came with fried chicken which threw me off. Dads main meal was the fish and chips, he thought it was decent, the rest of us tried the fish and did like it - the tartar sauce did it for me - quality stuff and the importance is highly underrated. Local bar and grill that my friends and I like to reunite at over holidays. It's conveniently located and well priced as well as not too crazy to be seated or at least to get reservations. Service is always friendly and very helpful when when someone seems to be giving them a hard time. Kudos! And they often seem to have solid recommendations or at least the couple of times that we've asked. Food wise, I got these totchos. I'm uncertain about the chorizo but definitely loved the rest of the totchos. For those who don't know, that's tater tots in nacho form. The tots were perfectly cooked with a crunch on the outside and hot softness inside. Topped with sour cream and all your usual nacho fixings. I was so glad I got it. My friend got the crab rangoon dip and that was delicious! You know how Nutella is delicious and tastes like it came out of a Ferrero Rocher because it did? That's what this dip is like. Perfect combo of crab, cream cheese, cheese, and whatever else with the pita bread and chips. Definitely would get these again. Can't comment much on drinks but people seemed to enjoy them for the most part. Cranberry mule was said to be good but there were mixed reactions on the sangrias and martini? Not sure. Overall, everything was great. We weren't rushed at all and greatly appreciated that given how infrequently we get to see each other throughout the year. Had such a great time. We had never been to this location and it was very cute in a plaza with lots of parking. They had great outdoor seating that was perfect for summer! Also, if I know the bill was covered by our boss, I would have gone for the steak tips haha. I did not get any drinks, but my colleagues did, and they seemed happy, so +1 for the drinks? We stayed there for a couple of hours and did not get rushed out, so it was a good time catching up and chatting with my colleagues outside of work. PB Cascade dessert is amazing and good to share. They had my favorite beer on tap.. Allegash White! The beer was nice and cold, especially with the heat. Server was trying her best to be attentive, again.. It was a Friday night, so service wasn't the quickest, but I saw that the manager stepped in and helped clear some tables which I can appreciate. We had nice service our waiter was awesome I had a meatloaf mashed potatoes and broccoli it was great I never ordered that out but they made it homemade there and it was worth getting my husband got the burger and fries burger was huge to see fries were cooked perfect and onion soup is good to great experience great place. To start off the night, I will be trying out the fried calamari and the nachos with spinach dip. The main course will be a 12 oz NY steak with onion strips and seasonal vegetables. Let's dive right into the review. The appetizers came to our table fairly quickly. Some of the fried calamari was slightly soggy but the Thai dip made it fairly enjoyable. The nachos were very crispy and the spinach dip was warm and complemented the nachos well. I thought that I would be most excited for the main dish, but was slightly disappointed once it arrived. Both the green peas and the onion strips were really oily. The onion strips were also quite soggy and was laid there like a clump. Although the steak was well flavoured with the butter and salt, my biggest complain is that it was not cooked evenly. The ends of the steak were well done and it slowly transitioned to my requested medium rare in the middle. Although the middle was very tender, the sides of the steak were way too dry. Our waitress made sure to check up on us occasionally and was very helpful in recommending their most popular items on the menu. she said that the steak was one of their most popular items...sadness :( The price of the steak was $30 which is what I would normally expect of a 12 oz NY steak. However, if I knew that the steak would be cooked like this, I'd much rather have tried something else on the menu. The sides didn't help to justify the price either. In conclusion, I felt like the quality of the appetizers were better than the main dish. It's a little surprising that the main dish was the least enjoyable part of the night. I remembered passing through the Lowell area a few months back and seeing some goof reviews of 110 Grill. It was not until coming by again recently that I realized they are a franchise. That was a bit off putting to me but I was wrong and should learn to curb my franchise prejudices. Upon arriving, the place looked like an OK american restaurant targeted at the mid-high dining market. Nothing was impressing me greatly and that continued with the menu. There were several good options, some seemed pricier than I would have anticipated. I ordered the avocado & cucumber tuna. It seemed like a crossover of sushi and American dining. However, when it came out, the presentation was amazing. Typically, I am not one to get hung up on the plating and if the food tastes good, it matters not at all. However, when there is a nice presentation it scores bonus points. The dish involved rice with raw tuna under a layer of avocado and topped with shaved cucumber and melon. The flavors were pretty good with nothing being too overbearing. It was a lot of food but it felt light. The rice was a bit too mushy - almost like they were trying to fake sticky-rice with more water in the pot. Otherwise it was good. All around, a fine place to dine. I am not sure I would run back but it was certainly good for a dinner stop. read more
