11th Hour Coffee- what an adorable place located in Santa Cruz. While visiting I learned they actually have two locations! Beautiful outdoor seating area! There was quite a line.. but for a local coffee house you know this means the place is good! I got an iced dirty chai and a banana chocolate chip cookie! The chai was amazing!!!! The woman at the counter told me the chai is made in someone's backyard! It was so good and rich! The banana chocolate chip cookie was freaking amazing! So soft and had so much flavor! My friend got a box of all the macaroons and I tried them.. amazing! This coffee shop is a vibe! They don't use plastic cups.. they care about the earth! The inside is so cute! Would come back for sure! Skip Starbucks and come here next time you are in Santa Cruz!

Came early on a Saturday morning and got a hot chocolate and a pumpkin cookie. The cafe itself is really cute and homey. They played vibey relaxing music which was calming. The hot chocolate was good and had cute latte art foam on top--such a special touch! The pumpkin cookie was delicious, sweet, and super moist. Plus it's vegan! There is seating inside and a spot to fix up your drinks too.

Such helpful staff! I ordered my mobile order to the wrong location and the offered to make my drinks for me here at the westside location!

I stopped here after a nice walk along west cliff for my *cafe girlie* moment. When you walk in, you're greeted kindly with a "hello friend!" Which automatically lifted my spirits. I grabbed a Conflicted Hippie matcha latte. It was deliciously strong, helped by a little bit of honey. There is seating inside and outside, both cozy and cute. A great place for a date, studying, or just to chill.

Before leaving Santa Cruz, my husband and I stopped by 11th Hour to get a couple of drinks for our drive home. This location shares a parking lot with the surrounding businesses, but we didn't have any issues finding a spot. My husband ordered the Iced Green Bee (matcha with almond milk and lavender syrup) and I got the Honey Bee Latte (espresso with choice of milk and lavender syrup). Despite it being fairly busy, the wait wasn't long. Most of the seating inside was occupied, but there were more tables and seats outside. The ambiance was very chill and community oriented. I also really liked all the greenery throughout. A nice stop for caffeine!

Outdoor seating in the rain; also how cute are these cups

Very cute cafe in a great little shopping / drinking / dining strip (I think there was also a yoga studio...). Our group came in during a wet weekend, so while there was plenty of seating outside, most of it was inaccessible. Inside the cafe is cozy and covered in plants. Many tables were claimed by laptops (which I get since it's a very chill atmosphere), but it was tricky for us to grab a table for a quick brekkie. We squeezed in and enjoyed a selection of toasts, bagels and pastries. Really enjoyed my order of the salted caramel latte (w black salt!), burrata toast w egg and banana chocolate chip cookie to go. Def recommend! I can only imagine how nice it is on a sunny day!

Good coffee in a lovely area. Plenty of outdoor seating and cozy indoor. Had the vanilla latte, hot with whole milk--perfect.

Cute little coffee shop with a very welcoming and friendly staff. The outdoor is very spacious which is nice for big groups. I tried one of their specialty honey lavender iced lattes and it was just OK. Couldn't really taste the honey or the espresso, it was more milky than anything. I saw a few other specialty drinks that looked interesting so I'll come back to try those and maybe their breakfast menu too.

First time at 11th Hour Coffee and I'm obsessed! The iced salted caramel latte and vanilla latte were so smooth and flavorful. And the banana chocolate chip cookie? Pure heaven. New favorite coffee spot in Santa Cruz!

Beautiful shelves of goods for sale with their very cool mission/philosophy painted on the wall

This is the 2nd location of 11th Hour (original one is in downtown Santa Cruz). It's been open for just under 2 years, and for those that are familiar with this side of town, it used to be another local spot called Kelly's Bakery. This newer 11th Hour is such a beautiful & welcoming space with its large courtyard area with built-in benches & tables that remind me of a giant Jenga or Tetris game! All the repurposed wood and many plants give it a very earthy, warm and natural feel. I love how there's a tree right smack in the center of the shop when you walk in! Locals, frequent visitors and honorary residents alike know that there is certainly no shortage of world class coffee shops and coffee roasters in Santa Cruz, so the competition is fierce yet the community here seems to also embrace that and share the love. That's the local Santa Cruz vibe! 11th Hour is literally across the street (in both directions) from other great local coffee shops, but they've also figured out how to stand out while still staying true to themselves and the SC spirit with their impressive brunch menu, creative drinks, events like open mic and trivia nights, and I believe they offer booze as well (my hubby saw this, but somehow I was so fixated on the plants and coffee that I missed that!). They serve up some mean matchas in addition to espresso/coffee drinks too. We particularly love the Flat Green & Conflicted Hippie! They serve up 2 different avocado toasts: the Original and the Simple. We've had both, but definitely prefer the Original Avo Toast with its addition of veggies, olive oil, balsamic glaze, & nutritional yeast on top! Delicious!

A bright, aesthetic coffee shop with shorter lines than the downtown location. Overall, I haven't enjoyed most of the items I've ordered. The food isn't great, and most of the pastries have been a bit disappointing. Some of the specific drinks are good, though, like the raspberry mocha or the chai. I'll still come by for some specific gems I've liked, but I'll stick to those from now on.

I was looking for something heavier than a pastry and found out they had breakfast sandwiches and their own bagels! Score!! To my surprise, they also had specialty drinks so I had to get the Blondie latte with a plant-based milk. I asked the lady if it was sweet and she said it came with a tablespoon of brown sugar. But they could switch it and make it a teaspoon instead. Perfect! As I got my latte it was amazing!! The espresso used in the latte was actually a mild roast coffee so I really liked the flavor of it roast and it was Organic!! Win-win!! Since I'm trying to avoid dairy at the moment, I asked if I could get the lox bagel sandwich without cream cheese and replace it with avocado. The lady at the register asked another barista behind her and she said it was fine! Perfect!! You also get to pick out what type of bagel you want, so I wanted to try something different and got the sun-dried tomato and basil or something like that! The sweet flavors of the herbs in the bagel and then the juiciness of the tomato baked into the bread once simply wonderfully with my breakfast sandwich!! There's a cute little waiting area inside with at least 10 tables or seats along the breakfast bar counter and a couple of tables. There's also a very large outdoor seating area, but I was cold so I wanted to sit inside to warm up my body since I was going to go to yoga on the beach. I had only planned on eating half the bagel sandwich but honestly, it was so good when it came out. I sat there for a good 20 minutes until I ate the whole thing!! Lol so funny!! I was so stuffed I had to walk an extra mile before I could start my yoga on the beach! As I sat enjoying my breakfast sandwich, I got to overhear the two barista's talk about music!! One of the baristas allowed her device to search new genres of music while the other barista specifically looked up different genres of music she liked and then would tell her device to find music of that era. So interesting to hear their discussion!! I honestly loved everything about this quaint little coffee shop, and I will definitely be back again and again!!
