My family and I were so excited to try 123 Main Street. The farm to table aspect was intriguing and we needed a coffee n snack break. First off, they didn't have real coffee. They use those awful Nespresso machines that require plastic pods and taste stale. Why use all that plastic for a terrible cup of coffee where milk costs extra?! The sandwich selection looked exciting. We got a veggie bahn mi style sandwich, a turkey sandwich, and another veggie sando. We ate them because we were starving but on a normal day they would have been dog food. Stale bread, unseasoned, uninspired, boring. I am so glad we found this place while staying in the area. We were looking for coffee, but once we arrived decided to do lunch instead. The service and atmosphere was very friendly. The food was delicious and tasted very fresh and homemade. It was also easy to accommodate our dietary restrictions, which is usually very challenging when traveling. We ended up visiting every day we could while on our vacation. It seems that they put a lot of thought into the food and operations of this shop. read more

Although signage indicates a large range of sandwiches for $6.48, they only offer 2 or 3 box lunches with a small half sandwich, cookie, a small amount of grapes and small side. Skip it. Sorry to say this was the worst meal we had in the area. Had one of the daily sandwiches - The Madras - bread was rock solid and unfortunately too dry to eat. Husband had the chicken nuggets which were obviously a frozen product similar to McDonalds. He turned his nose up at the mac and cheese so honestly didn't even try it. We had a chocolate chip and an oatmeal raisin cookie which were just average. Very sweet and lacking salt. There are too many great dining options in the area to waste a meal here. read more

I usually don't give reviews on Yelp - but this place sure deserves one!! have been coming to Acadia my entire life and nowhere compares to 123. From the minute you walk in, you feel at ease with the beautifully painted chalkboard menus and coastal paintings. The staff is very friendly, eager and willing to help with anything. I've been eating here for years and the quality remains consistent, and the food delicious! 123 has done an amazing job pivoting with the pandemic, staying true to their farm-to-table values. Kudos to the kitchen for all their creations - my favorites being the kale Caesar, Santa Fe sandwich and family dinner rice bowls!! If you want quality food and whole, natural ingredients - this is a gem. Not only is the food good but the setting is simply picturesque and very comfortable. We had the tuna sandwich, a DELISH latte, a fancy egg pudding and could have chosen many more inviting looking foods. It blows everyone on Main Street away from my view - no comparison. Came here on a rainy day during COVID thankfully they had indoor social distance seating. Had a the corn chowder, madras sandwich, a whoopie pie and a brownie. All the food was amazing but the service was even better. The girls were so sweet, welcoming and helpful. The interior was very cute and homey. You'd be a fool to not stop in! read more

What a great find!!! I accidentally stumbled on this "farm to fork" restaurant as they were about to close for the 2019 season and I am very sad that I have to wait until next year to visit again! The pre-made sandwiches were good, however the coffee was the worst coffee I've had. Ever. Period. The schizophrenic menus were confusing and scattered everywhere with various colors and sizes. The layout at least in the morning was just as confusing: where do I place my order? What are the soups for today? Where is the coffee menu?! But let me thoroughly explain the coffee. I ordered a macchito, pretty standard coffee choice. I got it to go, the first silp I took I was already in my car away from the place or I would have demanded an explanation and a redo. It was hot water with almond milk. There was NO COFFEE IN THE MACCHITO. it's possible that this one blonde lady behind the corner just poured in old drip coffee but even then it was 3.25$ for old drip coffee + almond milk + hot water. My friend ordered a latte, SAME THING, NO COFFEE + HOT WATER + ALMOND MILK. Worse cup of coffee I've ever had, DO NOT GET ANY COFFEE HERE. I could made a better coffee with Folgers and expired milk in a parking lot. read more

I stumbled upon this gem after a 3 hour drive, perhaps one the cutest cafes ever. Owner operated is always a plus and she was so pleasant. Farm to table everything local and made fresh daily. I had soup of the day , scone and coffee. The soup was so good I purchased some from their freezer they freeze to take with you . I visited almost every business store front in Northeast Harbor. This is a great spot for coffee or a bite to eat. They have quite another of seating, a very open bright space and lots of backed goods. They use nepresso coffee which doesn't give it the feel of a real cafe... no fresh coffee beans. Besides that it's a good spot in this neck of the woods. read more

Every year we come to Northeast Harbor for many days to enjoy hiking and relaxing in this beautiful Acadia national Park. A trip to 1 2 3 every day is on the list! Sometimes we even go twice a day... It's the best place to pick up a really good picnic for the top of the mountain or have a cup of tea and a cookie after the mountain. Everything is fresh and healthy. Highly recommend if you are looking for excellent food away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. 123 is a beautiful clean restaurant/grocery place. Super cute place and the food looked great. However, we came in for coffee and tea and were sorely disappointed. It appeared that all drinks were made from a Keurig or Nespresso type machine, even the drip coffee. The cafe is is cute and inviting. The sandwiches and salads are pre made but were tasty. I had a veggie sandwich that was good but there were a couple of brown spots on the avocado. My husband enjoyed his sandwich as well. I also had a small macaroni salad that was not overdressed and husband had stew that he loved. This place is okay. The ambience is well curated. The food? It sounds great on the menu but the taste doesn't live up to the hype. My wife and I had the Med and the Veggie. Little flavor, dry bread, and small portions. Staff is not super friendly (but owner is). Cookie was ok but tiny. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Walk across the street and go to Milk & Honey for great sandwiches and baked goods. You won't be disappointed. My experience here was mediocre at best. The serving sizes were very small for the prices. $6 for a sandwich that would be a half sandwich at other restaurants. Cookies were $4- also pretty small and average tasting. The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing although wait staff couldn't keep up with clearing tables after people had left. Most confusing part was people sometimes would stand up eating at the counter where you are also supposed to order. Yum yum, the food is super fresh and gourmet high quality. The produce and meats are summer fresh and locally sourced from M.D.I farmers.. Its so delicious and easy to get lunches and sandwhiches on the go from here. I also like the baked goods, healthy choices, yummy flavored complimentary water, and coffees. This place has wonderful style, with a casual coastal elegance. I ended up going here almost every day and grabbing sandwhiches to go for my picnic swims , beach days and picnic hikes. Really great addition to downtown NE Harbor. We've been getting coffee here everyday and it's delicious. They even have Stevia which I find is hard to come by at most coffee shops, even in Boston! My 6 year old and my husband shared a gluten free brownie which they said was amazing. I had a bit of my daughters bagel and thought it was delicious. Everything to do with the sandwich is from local farmers, bakers and cheese makers! Definitely the place to stop when looking for healthy food for a hike or picnic. You can grab and go quickly! It looks like they use Nespresso pods for the lattes, but they still hit the spot- we had trouble finding good lattes in Northeast Harbor, so were very excited to find this place. We got an almond milk latte and caramel latte. Service was great too. My favs are the salmon salad with balsamic dressing and turkey sandwiches. I also loved their brownies and mini chocolate croissants. They have a protein cookie with bananas that was a pretty good treat when biking the carriage roads! read more

The staff is basically there to explain the confusing menus and take your payment; the rest is essentially self-service. My smoothie was not good at all.
