But it is so close to downtown that you are in walking distance to all the bars/restaurants. The staff here is incredible. The check in process was so easy and everything about the property was explained clearly. The checkout process was easy as well as I just sent a text with my email and my folio was sent to me almost instantly. The texting from the staff throughout our stay checking in on everything was great. The rooms were very spacious and seemed upgraded a bit but still had a nautical and coastal feel. I haven't been to any other hotels in the area, but we would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Bar Harbor.

These were VERY good and I was jealous. I loved them. I chose the fish of the day which was haddock with rice and veggies and a pesto sauce that was SO good! Very fresh and filling. Large filet of fish on this plate. For dessert, I wanted to try the Indian Pudding a la mode and our server informed me that it was very rich and was somewhat like pumpkin pie, ginger cookies and bread pudding.
