Brisket Benedict
Holly W.

The hostess and staff were all super friendly. There were a couple of large parties ahead of us and they were able to get everyone seated quickly. There is not a ton of seating but it has a quaint diner feel to it. I had their special brisket benedict. The brisket was a little on the chewy side but the hollandaise sauce more than made up for it. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The bacon was crispy, like I prefer, but I found it a little too salty. They kept the coffee filled and overall it was a great experience.

Went on a late Sunday morning for breakfast, so I already knew it'd be busy. We put our name on the wait list, and there were about 6 people on the list ahead of us. But looked like a lot of people left after putting their name on the list, because we waited less than five minutes before being seated. We started off with the Cinnamon Roll because bf loves them. He finished it before the rest of the food came out. We also ordered French Toast, Chicken Fried Steak, and the Trucker Combo. Everything was delicious. My bf loves the biscuits and gravy, and really enjoyed it here. I never order biscuits and gravy because I'm picky with the texture of biscuits, but the biscuits were nice and soft, and the gravy was good. Service was quick and friendly. We left full with leftovers.

My friend and I came to try out 12th Ave Cafe after a quick hike one Saturday around 11am. We were quite fortunate and only had to wait 10 minutes to get seated. The restaurant seemed quite busy, but there was all in all a good flow of people going in and out. Right off the bat, we loved that their TVs had dog and cat videos! How fun is that? It's so unexpected and honestly brilliant. For food we ordered the lemon-ricotta pancakes and the Los Angeles Eggs Benedict. Both were quite yummy! For the LA Benedict, I will say the Benedict was amazing! The chorizo was so yummy and paired well with the sauce, perfectly poached egg, avocado, tomatoes, and English muffin. For us the side of potatoes with green bell peppers and onions was a tad bit lacking. But all in all it was a delicious dish. Now as for the lemon-ricotta pancakes? Those were delicious! No complaints! I would definitely come again with friends in the near future.

* Chicken fried steak 5/5 * Hotdog sandwich 3.5/5 * Breakfast burrito 4/5 * Bread pudding 3/5 Chicken fried steak was amazing! I'm almost positive. It's a new kind of gravy and they put on a ton of it. You can also substitute your toast for pancakes, which is great.

Our hotel didn't offer breakfast and this was the closest besides fast food. It ended up being a great choice! The service was very quick. Food was good and came in large portions. It was also clean and staff was very attentive.

We came here on a Saturday morning and waited maybe 10-15 minutes before we were seated. The inside of this place was very vibey and felt like we went back in time a bit. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The portions were pretty generous and we were stuffed. The Chicken Fried Steak was a little too much after awhile and we were glad we shared both of these items. The food felt a bit oily and the ventilation of the place wasn't so great. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were delicious and we liked the generous amount of fresh fruit that came with it.

We had not been in the 12th Ave. for quite a while. The ownership has changed, but it seems like the food, is still high-quality. The volume of food seems a little bit lighter than it used to be, but again it's quality, and I don't need to eat a giant plate of food. My son, on the other hand, he likes a giant plate of food as you can tell in one of the pictures. it took a while to get in the door, but it was a Saturday or Sunday morning, but once we got in, we got served immediately. The ambience in here was really good, lots of customers, servers moving about, food flying every direction in a good way, all of it plates delivered the way it should be. I had the basic breakfast with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns. A little skinny on the bacon, in my opinion, but the quality and flavor was there. My wife had the avocado toast, as obvious and one of the pictures. She was only able to eat half of it, brought the rest home, as it came with the Caprese salad. My son, he had the large Montana special. As you can see in the picture this was a mountain of food. I'm happy to report, that he was not able to eat all of it. He did finish it by the end of the day. He is a large individual, works as a car mechanic, has a big appetite.

Such a cute little diner. The staff was very friendly. We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. It wasn't crowded so our food came out very quickly. The menu had so many appealing items and it was hard to choose which entree to get . We will definitely return!

Chicken Fried Steak

Solid place for diner-style breakfast and lunch. The portions are pretty big so I always end up taking leftovers home. Their biscuits with jam and potato hash (Montana) in particular hit the spot for your classic breakfast needs. The last time I was there I got the chicken fried steak which was even better than I expected thanks to their gravy. The restaurant is located in a strip mall plaza so there's plenty of parking. The wait can be quite long during the weekends for brunch but you can always wander around in nearby shops while you wait.

Chicken Fried Steak, of course.

Great service, nice family friendly restaurant with tasty food. It's simple diner food but for what it is it's fantastic.

Food was great but it's a small place and it gets crowded. Make to plan ahead and expect to wait for a table.

We chose the bar patio, which was cozy, fully covered, and set up with a handful of small high-top tables, making it a really comfortable spot to relax. The drink menu could use a little more detail, since none of the draft options were listed. When we asked about cider, our server checked and let us know they had a cherry pomegranate cider on tap. For beer, the options were simply described as an IPA and a lager, so we went with the lager. It was good, though we never found out which brewery it was from. We also ordered a mule, which was well made. For happy hour, we shared the half charcuterie board ($12), and it was beautifully presented with a great variety. We were impressed enough to stay for dinner afterward. We ordered the burger and the Greek salad with chicken after learning they were out of prawns. Our server also thoughtfully mentioned they were out of Kalamata olives in case that changed my order, which I appreciated. Both entrees were delicious. The burger stood out thanks to the homemade ketchup, which was especially good. The Greek salad was fresh and flavorful, though a bit light on portion size. Service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive, and by around 7 p.m. on a Friday, the restaurant had become quite busy. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great patio ambiance, solid food, and warm service.

Overall under seasoned, undersalted. The fries were just ok. People who cook need to occasionally try their own food.

He has been working for this Restaurant for eight years now he shared and did an outstanding job. He recommended antipasti starter platter that was delicious. Are entrées were perfectly prepared. Fresh vegetables, and seafood in both dishes. Our server constantly monitored our table for water, glass refills, and removed any empty plates we had. He suggested several things to cap off the evening and we ended up getting the tiramisu. Absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend this if you're looking for great authentic Italian cuisine in the Maple Valley/Issaquah area.

We ordered the half portions and it was perfect. The salsa on the Huevos Rancheros was delicious-- smoky, spicy, and had the perfect kick to balance the flavors of everything else going on the plate. The California Eggs Benedict came with grilled onions, which I absolutely loved. (You don't see onions typically in that dish.) Hash browns were meh. My favorite however was the avocado crema that came with the Breakfast Quesadillas. Creamy and flavorful-- they made the quesadillas sing. Quesadillas were scrumptious-- chock full of scrambled eggs, veggies, and green onions, this one is going to be on our repeat menu . We loved it so much that the person who served gave a complimentary cup to go as we were packing the leftovers. On that note I must say that the service was warm and attentive. We came on a weekday for brunch and were amazed to see how full it was. There was quite a bit of wait for lunch hour so this tells me how popular this place is. No wonder there are so many good Yelp reviews. This may just be our new family favorite.
