We got burgers here when they had a limited menu because they're remodeling. The drive-through is still open during construction. We ordered fries with a burger meal to add a burger, master. So we just moved from California and when we craved a burger there, we just went to In-n-Out. Trying to find an equivalent here has been difficult. Cravings hit though so decided to give this place a test. Honestly wasn't expecting much. Pleasantly surprised. We just drove through and took it home to eat. Not sure if there was seating on-site or not. Seemed like its mainly a drive-thru operation. They do have an app though. I'll have to explore that next time. Double Baconmaster w the works (4): First thing I noticed was how heavy this thing was. It's got some heft to it. I would normally get a triple-triple at in-n-out. This double might be the equivalent. Costs more here but you do get a bigger burger. Everything was pretty good. I do like the works option which is all the free toppings. Bacon I don't think was necessary but it was a nice touch. Double Mushroom Burger (3.5): Not too shabby but wasn't too special either. My wife enjoyed it though. She loves mushrooms though. If you like mushrooms, this is a decent option. Pales in comparison to my double baconmaster though. Fries (2): Honestly I thought these fries weren't that great. Almost like In-n-Out fries which is not a compliment. I ordered these extra crispy and even then it was just barely crispy. They must use real potatoes like In-n-out or something. They just aren't that good. So the burgers are decent and you get a good sized burger. Fries aren't worth it in my book. I think I'd like to try their shakes next time though. Overall, solid 3.5 rounded up. I think its still a decent burger joint and we'll likely be back with our very specific preferences. Definitely glad we tried it though! read more

My little sister is obsessed with Burgermaster. Whenever she comes home from college, swinging by the Issaquah drive through is at the top of her list. Her go-to is a Burgermaster with Bacon, a side of fries with Boom Boom Sauce and a small peanut butter shake. She says it's very yummy; it's fresh and they use a delectable sauce. While I haven't liked any of the sandwiches I've eaten at Burgermaster, I agree that their Boom Boom sauce is fantastic and love eating it with fries. Not much I can say about Burgermaster at the moment they are just selling burgers on the outside of the restaurant. The inside is not completed. I guess they will be completed sometime in July. They bought the whole building that the old triple X in Issaquah owned and operated for quite a while . I don't know how long triplets had the building, but the four years that I have ate there from time to time they only operated the front portion of the building. The rest was a tattoo parlor and some other businesses. We wanted to grab food quickly for dinner as my boyfriend has been studying for his work so he wants to relax. I saw Burgermaster is a neat, little burger joint that only has locations up around this area so we decided to try them out. We placed a take out order on their app as if you sign in then you get access to free small fries (or you can save your points for something else). We didn't notice the take out sign as the rare sun came up and the sun rays made their sign extremely hard to see. We followed the signs to the drive thru as most often when we order from fast food places, we can get that at the drive thru. Now this is where the biggest issue started. We arrived at the order window and the employee greeted us monotonal tone. We told them that we have a pick up order, he says that there is a ramp to pick up the order. Now there was no way to get out of the drive thru line and my boyfriend spotted a ramp near where we were. I went out to grab it so he can move forward in the line and as I arrived to the open door of their kitchen, a much more polite employee told me that the pick up window was on the other side. I went back embarrassed and got back in the car and we were about one car away from the window. I asked my boyfriend if he could just ask the drive thru window if we can pick up our food there as the way everyone pointed seemed to be near the window? But then a rude female employee once again said that they have a designated pick up window and insisted that we go there to pick. Finally, we're out of the line and I can walk up this hidden ramp and I see the sign that is completely unreadable due to sunlight rays that is the pick up for takeout orders. The employee who greets me at that window was professional and kind and told me that they were out of the blackberry milkshake and that I can chose a different milkshake flavor so I went with birthday cake. The current state of this restaurant is that they are in construction of trying to have a brick and mortar in the future. The kitchen floor looked terribly messy when I did peek in from both sides of their space which was concerning. There were pieces of different ingredients, fries, and other spills of condiments everywhere. I do hope things improve as they do have an actual restaurant but I don't know if we will return. Now onto the food and milkshake. My boyfriend got the burgermelt and added grilled onions. I got the mushroom burger and added grilled onions, jalapenos, and burger sauce. They have free fixin's you can add on like Five Guys and premium ones that you can add one for bacon, gluten-free buns, etc. So we got fries but it didn't come with any sauce so that was disappointing but they were decent and not too salty. We said that it reminded us of how McDonald's fries used to taste. The burger itself was decent and put together well. They were much bigger than I had thought too. However, it wasn't anything to really write about or worth a second visit. I would consider coming back to try the chicken burger and I know at other locations they have fish and chips or fish burgers. The milkshakes were thick and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. One of my favorite parts of the birthday cake milkshake was the amount of sprinkles put in. My boyfriend got a pretty good Oreo milkshake. I wish on the app that you can pick your sauces for the fries and that you can chose when they start your order. I also wished that they made a small note on how to pick up the order as well. We almost were out of luck on picking up our order as there was no space to park but as we were getting out of the drive thru, someone was just leaving. Service was a mixed bag of good and bad and the cleanliness of the place made me question the quality of my food. Easy drive through while they continue building! It's a smaller menu, but still as delicious as ever. The creamsicle cake was amazing. Upon entering, follow the signs that lead you to the back of the construction area. It feels wrong, it's not. You will loop around to the front for the line, makes things pretty seamless. There are a few parallel parking spots onsite to pull in and eat, but we went and found a shadier spot down the road. Pay attention to posted parking rules! read more

A drive-in burger spot that has super tight parking but loved how the staff comes out to your car and there's even a little window tray to hold your food (although if the food is sitting outside won't it get cold faster)? Located in the old XXX location, now functioning out of trailers, this isn't the usual Burgermaster drive-in (at least not yet). They've got a limited menu, a drive-thru line (which moves slowly), and an awkward situation if you want to park and eat. But the reason for my 3-star rating is the inappropriate action taken by the fellow who was taking orders / handling payments. He rounded my purchase up $0.84 for "Round Up & Give" without asking me. I didn't see it at the time, but looking back at the receipt, this pissed me off. It just wasn't his decision to make. And then there's the value -- at $24 for a double-cheeseburger (Burgermelt) with mushrooms, a fry and a drink + a 20% tip (which I now regret), that's a pricey fast-food lunch. read more

We went through their food truck drive through & we were greeted by a helpful employee to take our order for takeout. We got 3 baconators which are 2 beef patties, cheese, bacon, lettuce & tomato, 2 fries, a Diet Coke & a chocolate milkshake. OMG - so delicious! I had heard that Burgermaster was taking over the location that used to be Triple XXX, one of my favorite places to eat, so we headed out there. IT's just a food truck parked outside the old building. Very disappointing. Very limited menu, and no Triple XXX root beer. If you have great memories of the classic Triple XXX drive in, hang on to them. This is nothing like it. If you like Burgermaster, you'd be better off going to their Bellevue location, with a full menu, and good service. read more

This is not your regular Burgermaster. While the food is good, the experience and service are absolutely terrible. It's painful to see an iconic establishment turn into a disaster such as this. 1) You can't park and be served like in other Burgermasters. You have to drive, more like weave, through a maze, in order to place your to-go order. 2) I did not check my order of 3 burgers after picking it up. I reached home, only to realize I had been given only 2 burgers, but had been charged for 3. My first experience of Burgermaster in Issaquah has been extremely poor. I love the other locations. Pity to see that an iconic establishment like XXX has been reduced to a dark, dingy unwelcoming, badly managed place. Maybe they opened too soon, before getting all their ducks in a row. Maybe they should have waited to complete the renovation and open when ready. Do better. I'm hoping to see improvements soon. read more

If your life goal is to see how much grease a human stomach can handle before surrendering, Burgermaster has you covered. The burgers are less "juicy" and more "oil spill on a bun." Forget napkins--you'll need a ShamWow to make it through. By the time you finish, your fries will have dissolved into a greasy soup at the bottom of the tray, and your digestive system will already be filing a complaint. Consider this place less of a restaurant and more of a fast-track to a food coma. On the plus side, if you ever need to lube a bicycle chain or season a cast iron pan, just wring out one of their burgers. read more

I stopped by about a dozen times at their Issaquah location. Problem was their inconsistent quality. On some orders, the burgers were far too greasy, to the point of the bun falling apart.. On my final visit, the abundant grease and way too much salt on both their burgers and fries were the final straw. I felt I consumed enough sodium for the next 30 days in that one meal. I couldn't even finish it. Salt should be a light seasoning, not a heavy preservative in a fast food meal. read more

A few years ago, I wrote Burgermaster and asked them to take a look at the closed Sonic location in Renton. It was high traffic and had space for 30 car hop vehicles. I received a response that said they are a small business and need to be careful with expansion. A year later, they announced their intent to take over XXX just months after it closed. I could tell by their initial response the issue with Renton was probably more about the customer base, but so be it. Your business, your choice. This location is currently drive through only, it will have a dining room, but that is a rarity. Decades ago, Crossroads had a location with Car Hop and dine inn and it didn't do well. We ate there many times and were the only ones inside. The food doesn't taste like it used to, to me. The burgers don't taste as juicy. I don't know if that is the beef or how they cook it, but just like Miner's in Yakima, it just doesn't impress like it once did. The children have taken over from the original owner and I don't like the changes. The combos are gone, everything is ala carte which basically means no deals. Burgermater is basically fast food, but it cost more then Red Robin, because at the dirty bird, your fries are included and not only that both them and your drinks are bottomless. I guess when you consider that Covid killed the Issaquah Red Robin, they are due for a better burger, but the best burger Issaquah ever had to offer was back when Gulliver's was in business. Issaquah has money so many won't bat an eye at the pricing or structure here, but as someone that grew up with Burgermaster, specifically the combo meal to see it gone tells me the focus is on profit and not people. Best news is Raising Canes is coming to Renton, so someone sees the value in the population and I expect it to draw attention to an area looking or better food choices. I need to make my way to Des Moines, they got a place called Burger Meister. Reviews are strong on flavor, but poor on price. ***UPDATE*** Since ownership has commented on my reviews, let me state facts. It's true, 60% of places I have visited could have been better. In addition, 1/3 of places I have reviewed are no longer in business, so it's clear to me, places that are not impressing the public, don't stay open. I am however happy to hear that a south sound location is still on the table. The Dick's in Kent appears to be thriving and places like Pick-Quick and Frugals have also built a brand. So as I continue to focus on bringing honest, detailed reviews to the public. I hope you remember the legacy of Burgermaster going forward, because I could not imagine giving a low score to the meals I used to get from all of your locations 20 years ago. read more

Stopped in for a pre opening event. Everything on the menu was 50% off and all of the proceeds when to a fund that supports Burgermaster employees in need. I ordered a Burgermaster, fries and shake. I have to say this is the best food I've ever had at a burgermaster. The burger was perfectly cooked, the bun was nicely toasted and the fries were on point. This location is drive through only which I don't think any other locations are but they seem to really pull it off well. The staff is friendly and service was quick. Hate to write this but just had dinner ar the soon t be new Burgermaster in Issaquah. 1st time to the Issaquah location, service was slow, burgers were warm, fries were old, tough and hadn't been hot for a while. The few outdoor tables were located adj to a kitchen exhaust fan. I get they are under construction but you would expect them to make sure the food was above average and not way below. I have eaten at other Burgermasters for over 50 years. This was hands down the worst meal I have had at any of their restaurant. Looking in the window when placing the order I was surprised by the mess, that should have been my clue to go elsewher but unfortunately I didn. Live and learn.
