I've been wanting to try out this place...and I'm not disappointed! Came here around 3:50 on a Saturday, so the place was basically empty. We were seated immediately and got our drink orders in just as fast. It took just a bit for our server to come back and take our food orders, but it was still quick enough. Food came out in about 20 min. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Avocado Sandwich and a side of Mac and cheese. The sandwich is AMAZING!! It's so flavorful. The avocado is ripe, the tomatoes and onions add a solid structure, and the sauce they use is delicious. I believe it was some sort of aioli..? The Mac and cheese wasn't too bad either, however, it wasn't very hot when it came out (maybe a little warmer than room temp) and the macaroni was a bit on the stiffer side, so maybe not as fully cooked? I have a gift card for this chain and unfortunately the closest one to me closed down so it has just been sitting in my wallet for almost two years. Luckily, we had an opportunity to stay at Issaquah and there is a Blazing Onion Burger Company at Newcastle! We decided to make this our dinner the day we arrived at the hotel as we just wanted to get settled in our hotel and get ready for a long stay. One thing I do remember about Blazing Onion is that they make you order and pay first or leave your tab open. I see why they do that but it also makes it hard for indecisive people, especially when there are people coming in and also people who want to pay for their meal. We were able to figure out our order which was a wildberry handshaken iced tea, blazing chicken wings (half mango habenero dry rub and half BBQ sauce) mushroom melt burger, and teriyaki swiss chicken. However, as we ordered, the cashier had trouble hearing my drink despite me speaking loud enough and I repeated it to her several times before the final transcation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were given a little number card and told to pick wherever we wanted to sit. We picked a small table in the corner near the window so we can keep an eye on our dogs but saw there wasn't a little stand that also had a call button.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We took one from the table next to us and waited to receive our waters and my iced tea. I wasn't sure if we were supposed to get it ourselves as I saw some people do it but I saw employees moving around that area and didn't want to cause trouble. After several minutes of waiting, I received my iced tea but it tasted off and I just saw bits of raspberry rather than wild berries and tasted tart like lemonade. You get one free refill and it was then when I brought my drink to the bar that I received a raspberry lemonade so the cashier heard me wrong. Luckily the bartender was more than happy to make me what I actually ordered and it tasted divine and refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is very spacious with TVs playing different sports or shows. The bar is located in the far back and the bathrooms are located at the entrance (very clean and organized).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables and booths seemed pretty clean but there were some sticky spots.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was also unfortunate that the table next to us had unruly children stepping on the booth seats cause they were to lazy to get up and let their siblings get back to their seats. I truly hope that employees clean the booths here as that was hard to watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We received our food after another several minutes and it was really tasty! The burgers were cooked to perfection and the fries were seasoned very well. The chicken wings were juicy, big and the flavors from the dry rub and sauce was amazing. My sandwich did start falling apart and became mushy after a few bites though which is unfortunate as I am a slow eater. We got checked on maybe one time and it was close to the end so it is really hard to rate service as there was a lack of service. The bartender and the person who delivered my drink was very kind and helpful while the cashier/waitress we had didn't have any customer service skills. I would be more lenient if it was busy but it wasn't really too busy. We came in at a good time where most of the people received their orders and were just chatting or paying. Yet despite this, we didn't even really get to enjoy the full experience of dining here especially their endless fries cause no one would really come to tables unless it was vacated. I will have to say this is the last time I go to Blazing Onion as the structure of how they run their business seems odd and it seems like service is all over the place. The food and drinks are great though but I can't justify the long wait for just slightly average food that is also pretty pricey. You're better off at a Red Robin to get slightly cheaper, better service, unlimited refills on drinks and fries or other sides. read more

I have been wanting to try this place since I enjoy the Frosty Barrel next door. My husband has been to the Tacoma location before and said it was good, so I set a date and time and we went. I ordered the Texas Heat burger and added grilled onions with a side of tater tots. The burger was great and the tater tots were delicious; extra crispy but still soft on the inside and seasoned. Overall, everything we enjoyed was seasoned just right! We started with the wings and go the mango habanero dry rub. I hate to say best wings I have ever had, but they were certainly a contender for that title. Good flavor, plenty of salt, crunchy, and good portions. I really like their blue cheese dipping sauce/dressing. Good flavor, texture, and overall great. My husband also got a burger but had the Cajun fries as a side. They were well seasoned and delicious. Our other dining partner got the Steak Salad, which he said he liked. The steak looked good and certainly cooked as requested. On this particular evening, they seemed to be understaffed or exceptionally busy for a Monday. Our waitress was also the bartender because we were encouraged to sit in the bar. I guess the sauce comes out of their paycheck the way the employees skimp on sauce. Ordered onion petals that were just ok - Paid an extra $0.35 for more sauce and had to go back because we got a singular 1/3 full tiny cup of sauce. Did not even get the first cup of sauce filled, let alone the extra we paid for. Drove back. Asked for more. Got 3 more 1/3 filled cups then walked to the kitchen area myself to ask for more because what?? I asked if they give 0.3 oz of sauce to dine in tables and mgr said yes, that's a portion. Whoever pours those sauces must love the blazing onion more than the blazing onion loves them, or get a pay deduction if they fill a sauce cup fully like a normal person. read more

Amazing burgers! Winter as a family in each of us got a burger. I ended up with the sweet hickory bbq, which has onion straws on it. It was delicious! Price is comparable to Red Robin and burgers are a little bit better. The only thing I don't love is that you have to order at the front. But I guess that's just their style. read more

Each had grilled onions on top, fresh leafy green lettuce (not ice berg), thin slice of tomato and pickles and all in a quality roll. Fries filled the tensing space on the plate.... The sweet potato fries gad been double fried. Which causes one to ask- were they old and fried again to 'freshen' them?... or... we're all of their fries deep fried twice? Hubbies had only been fried once. Mine-twice. Still yummy enough. Tasting my burger was an experience indescribable... full of fresh flavors and seasoned yumminess.... Though amidst all this wonderful yumminess were the grilled onions that were, in my opinion, way too overcooked... (probably hurried along in the microwave and slid across the grill for the authentic taste), and tasted flat. Hmmmm ... we did not however allow it to ruin our delicious burger experience. The wait staff left us alone... never even came and checked on us, and.... We had come just before the dinner rush, and even on the porch - we could see it was quite busy... and, they had already been paid... no need to interact. Though in a time where wait-staff are looking to increase gratuity tip from 10-15% upwards to 25-30% --- they certainly aren't going to earn it by 'paying ahead' or by ignoring their tables. Marysville location. I ordered a Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger and when I came the bacon was burnt black, not just over cooked but burnt to the point of crumbing into a pile. I called the girl that took our order over to our table but she displayed the same leave of disinterest that she did when we placed our order. No smile, no attempt at the least bit of friendliness.. She offered to replace the burnt bacon but by the time it got to me the burger was as cold as the fries. The fries came to me with their usual cold as if they were sitting out with a heat lamp for the better part of the day. They cover them with the season salt in an attempt to fool us into thinking that they are going to be edible. I am finished with this place because every time we go there the food is thrown together with no attempt to make it appear more than crap. BTW my dog would not eat the burger either. This place is a solid 3. When they first opened, it was a 3.5 and now it settled into a 3. First off, the service kind of sucks here. I won't go into specifics but just don't expect much service and don't pay attention to the business hours. They do last calls like an hour and a half before closing. Very bizarre. Food is very mediocre. This is disappointing because when they first opened, their burgers were much better at least. Now, it's so average and overpriced. All their appetizers are very very forgettable. I didn't realize this before but one thing I do like about this place after my last visit is that they actually have a very nice bar. Prices are okay (not cheap but not too expensive) for cocktails and most beer options. They also have daily cocktail specials too (2 dollars off). I would say skip this place unless you have to go. I thought the burgers were just ok. Hops n Drop burgers are much better. The fries here were very good. Crispy on the outside, hot on the inside. I loved that they had a coke freestyle machine, though they were out of a lot of flavors like cherry. You order at the front and they give you a number. It's self seating. I recently had a takeout experience that left much to be desired and highlighted serious issues with their customer service when mistakes are made. I ordered online for a 6:30pm pick-up, so my wife could grab it on her way home to Bellevue from Seattle. Despite the detour taking her over 30 minutes, she arrived to pick up our two bacon cheeseburgers: one with sweet potato fries and one with onion rings. When she got home, we realized they had given us regular fries instead of sweet potato fries. At 7:10pm, I called the restaurant, and they offered to remake the sweet potato fries. I drove 20 minutes to get there, arriving around 7:30pm. The gentleman there, presumably the manager, insisted we had ordered regular fries. I showed him the receipt which clearly stated sweet potato fries. When I asked for a refund for the inconvenience, he only offered to refund the sweet potato fries. After expressing my frustration, he reluctantly agreed to refund one of the bacon cheeseburgers as well. By the time I got home, it was nearly 8pm, and I couldn't eat the burger until 9pm after putting my kids to bed. At that point, the burger was cold, and the onion rings were soggy. If the restaurant had offered a full refund for the inconvenience right from the start, this review would have been very different. Their reluctance to rectify their mistake without making it difficult for the customer is unacceptable. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their customer service. read more

First time coming in and for a 'burger' place I'm saddened that the burger patties were thinner than these tomato slices. The patties were overcooked and was very disappointing--I could find thicker patties at Costco. The service was good and attentive so no hard feelings there, but I can't get over how thin the burger patty was. Even a smash burger is is thicker than this. read more

We were in the area and hungry after hiking around Coal Creek. It was a bit confusing at the start. We didn't realize that you order at the hosting table and then sit down. Being this was our first time we weren't ready to do that, so we asked for menus and then sat down to take a look. Between this and some remote control buttons at the table to ask for service or pay, I got the sense this restaurant opened during COVID times, and was designed to keep people away from each other. That's fine, we just had to get used to it, and when we were ready to order I went up to the hosting station and made my order for the family, and paid for it (this is important later). We also had to get our own waters and sodas as there are no servers checking on your table. The food: Awesome! First off, hands down the best onion rings I've ever had. Family agreed. Usually you bite into an onion ring and the breading is too burnt, it cracks, and the onion inside comes out. These ones were like biting into a soft piece of bread, nothing fell apart, and so so delicious. The burgers were awesome, the chicken sandwich was awesome. The place had TVs everywhere so we could watch some college football. All and all a great place which we would go to again when in the neighborhood. Minus one star for the unusual ordering experience and lack of serving our table throughout the lunch. After all I gave them a 20% tip before I even got the food, that's awkward. read more

Had lunch here after a hike/ walk through Coal Creek Nature Preserve. The service was five stars... the waiter in the bar area really knew the menu and made sure we had what we wanted. The food was okay... about what I'd expect at a chain - limited vegetarian outings and mostly fried food. We both got an Arnold Palmer to drink. He had a burger in a wrap with fries, I had an Impossible burger in a lettuce wrap with tator tots. I love that they have so many great sauce options to add to your burger or get on the side. It was disappointing to get a single use, landfill bound plastic container since we were dining in. I am so happy to dine indoor again! This is a neighborhood burger joint that opened during COVID. I am happy they are staying pretty busy during this time. The staffs are very friendly. We have to order first before getting seated. I was excited to try the Blazing onion burger, my husband got the American classic, the kids got Itzy bitzy burgers and chicken strips. I loved the caramelized onion in the onion bun. I had a bite of the chicken strip and it was pretty good. With lots of TV and a great bar, this place got a great vibe going. The burgers were fine - nothing special at all, something you'd find at a regular bar & grill that doesn't have any specialties. For this to be a restaurant specializing in burgers, though?
