We arrived at 12:00 pm on a Wednesday. Jesse was our waitress. She was perfect. We started with Chocolate Expresso Martini's. So yummy! This is a must try here. Great food!! I love the chimichuri flank steak as it is super delicious!!! It's a once a year trip, and it's a must to come to this place for dinner. The vibes are awesome. Hyde park is such a fun place and the service has been nothing but awesome. Two years in a row we have had a large party with fantastic service!!! I was hungry after a long day without breakfast and it was 1:30 pm when I turned in my rental car at the Boise, Idaho Airport. I was seated promptly and greeted by Thomas quickly! I ordered a bud light and the Hyde Waygu burger! Thomas's service was outstanding, my beer and burger arrived quickly! Thomas was the only one serving everyone and they were busy! My Waygu burger was large and juicy, loaded with fresh veggies, cooked perfectly and delicious! It was a perfect meal and exactly what I was craving! This restaurant deserves every bit of five stars! Straight highway robbery. Handed the bartender a $100 bill and he gave me back $81 and 46 cents for a beer. Thought that was a little expensive for a beer but it is the airport. On the second beer I clarified the price and found out it was $9.54. I then informed the bartender that he only gave me $81 and 46 cents back the first time. He refuted this and claimed he gave back the right amount of change. My dad was with me and I had showed him the change when I got the first beer and he even remarked on what an expensive beer it had been. Yet the bartender wouldn't yield. So he likely pocketed the extra money. The Samuel Adams Oktoberfest is pretty good. That's the only positive. I can't in good conscience recommend this establishment. Steer clear. read more

Landed at 630pm and came out to 13th street knowing they close at 7pm while I waited for my ride. Bar was lit up and taps were on but no one in sight. Doors to kitchen all locked up. TVs on, Food closed, no one around, closed early by 30 minutes. Patron at the bar said he hadn't seen the bartender in about 20 minutes or so, didn't tell him he was leaving. Forwent the bar inside TSA checkpoint so we couldn't go back in for a beer. Super disappointing and crappy. ZERO stars. read more

Came here with a friend for early dinner service. First thing, her drink came out almost curdled. Sent back. Server was very apologetic. Second drink much better. Open the menu to select some apps, glass broken all in the menu. Again, server very apologetic. We both have been in service industry (my friend actually owning another local spot), mentioned we totally understand weird stuff happens. He assured us that the menu would be fixed immediately. I had a salad with my entree. Lettuce was literally frozen in parts. I am not a picky eater, but I could not eat this. Our entrees arrive. Friend had asked for malt vinegar with her order. Didn't come with the entrees. Finally found someone to get her some malt vinegar about 15 mins from entree arrival (seemed almost like break time and no one was around nor checked on us). Food cold now. All of these things we understand and ultimately don't mind. The biggest issue came at the end... We are sitting there as Friend is finishing her drink. Lady comes up and pretty forcefully asks us if we needed anything else, then very obviously looks at her watch. We got the hint loud and clear that they wanted to turn our table (yet many other tables were open). We started wrapping up, friend finishing her drink. The best part is when the same lady comes back about 15 mins later (friend just barely finished her drink) and plops a reserved sign down in front of us. Tells us this is a really coveted table and she has a reservation in 10 mins for it. Again, loud and clear lady. But it goes on.... Lady ends up putting her hand on my shoulder as she is awkwardly telling us we need to leave and squeezes it. Uhm excuse me - don't touch me?! My friend and I were pretty taken aback by her blatant acts. We packed up and chatted outside to finish our convo, which shock surprise no one was seated at that table 10 mins after the alleged reservation was expected. Ultimately, we understand everything that happened up until crazy lady kicked us out. We were there for about 2.75 hrs, but we enjoyed drinks, apps, salad, entrees and another drink. Considering the slow service we didn't overstay our welcome enough to elicit the treatment at the end. Wont be back that's for sure! read more

Had a 2 hour wait for my luggage to come in so I had lunch here. The chicken bacon sandwich and tots was a good lunch at typical airport prices. Bartender made a good bloody Mary for my wife, I had a beer on tap. Most surprising was there was not a single local beer on tap. A guy from Ohio visiting Idaho sat down next to me and asked for a local beer too....nope. Being the only bar/restaurant outside of security, what a shame they can't highlight some local flavors. The Boise area has many local breweries that could shine for Idaho if given a chance. read more

I was really disappointed. My husband is not here, and I was looking forward to sitting outside and just thinking about him and having their lovely steak and a glass of Malbec, There were three tables open with four seats. I couldn't sit at them because they needed it for other people coming. I sat there for 40 minutes and nobody took the table outside next to me. They said I could have one of the tables that seated two people. and when 1 came available, they said it was already booked. It's just maddening. I think you either have to reserve a table or just sit in it. There were three tables open for the total time I was there. I was so sad. I was so looking forward to enjoying an evening there. I only go there once in a while, but they were quite happy to take my 70 bucks.!! read more

Whoever was working today at 3:40 would not get off her phone to help customers get service. She actually walked away from us and went back to the bar to get back on her phone! She is such a joy to be around and made our drinks to perfection We had excellent conversation with her and she made me feel at ease before my flight and also discovered that she moved here from Denver recently. I dropped into the pub because I had some time to kill. As I walked into the bar Heather the waitresses/ bartender did not say hello or I'll be with you in a min. When she did make it to my table she asked me what I wanted? I explained to her that I didn't know because I had not received a menu yet. She looked right at me and said " you want a menu?" No joke, yes please I answered. I am vegan so I ordered the bean and rice tacos and asked her to skip the cheese. She brought me three tacos covered in sour cream, my fault I should not assume because I asked for no cheese it would not be smothered in sour cream. I then asked her if I could get a spoon and some hot sause. She told me they do not have spoons and handed me Tabasco. They serve soup here?????. Tabasco and tacos? Hmmm. I know we hear this all the time but I usually don't complain this was hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I have to preface this review with some background info. I eat and drink out a lot and I'm always pleasant and generous to the good folks who serve us food and drink. I was really looking forward to having a last lunch before sending my wife off for 6 months. I stopped by the 13th Street Pub & Grill in the airport as we live by, and frequently enjoy, their location in Hyde Park. I was taking my wife to the airport and we had a little more than an hour to kill before her flight boarded. I don't know who the girl was that provided our 'service' but I'm sure it wasn't the Angela I see everyone commenting so positively on. I wish that it was as I'm sure my experience would be a 180 of the experience I had. This woman was fairly tall and thin and had long, straight gray blond hair, late 30's-early 40's maybe, and a semi-scowl that wasn't very conducive to the hospitality environment. The woman who begrudgingly took time out of her busy shift of ignoring us wasn't wearing a name tag and didn't offer up a name. Here's a breakdown of the whole interaction. 1) Entered seating area with wife and sat down to wait for service (we went next door to Parilla Grill to ask them what the procedure was as the person behind the bar would look away from us whenever we tried to get her attention) 2) Person from behind bar approaches us after 5 minutes and asks us if we would like something to drink. My wife ordered iced tea and I said I'd choose a beer after we had a chance to look at a menu. 3) Server returns with menus and iced tea and I inform her of my beer choice and we placed our orders for food as well. 4) The server is semi-attentive to the 8 or so others in the restaurant because, as she's checking in on the two guys at the next table 15 minutes later, she realizes that she hasn't brought me my beer yet. 5) Server walks over and hands me my beer, and walks away. No 'sorry for the wait' etc. 6) Another 10 or so minutes go by and the server brings over our two plates, basically shoves them in front of us and walks off. Again, no words. 7) I look down at my plate (I ordered a sandwich that is supposed to come with au jus) and there is no au jus. I think to myself, "Well, maybe her arms were full with our two plates and she will be bringing the au jus soon." I sat there and enjoyed my fries for a few minutes but it became apparent that she was not coming back as she was again busying herself with counting receipts and generally ignoring our table. I was polite and waited until she was looking in our direction and raised my hand to get her attention. This process repeated itself about 5 or 6 times (her completely ignoring me waving my arm directly in her line of sight and turning around to go back to counting receipts, disappearing into the kitchen, etc) before she finally acknowledged me and motioned that she would be over. 8) Server walks over and slaps down the bill folder on the table and walks away without a word. Now, remember, we're already 50+ minutes into this process and I'm sitting there with my $16 sandwich and no au jus. I ask her very politely, "Excuse me, is this sandwich supposed to come with au jus?" She just says, ....wait for it....."I don't know" then turns on her heels and walks away. No, 'Oh, I'm not sure, let me check'. Well, I do know. That's why I ordered it. Nope. All I got from her was a lousy, "I don't know." 9) I just ate the, now cold, sandwich without au jus and, to be honest, it isn't good without the au jus. That's why they serve it with au jus. 10) Sadly, I did tip her and I know I shouldn't have. I wish I could see her and ask for the tip back. Actually, no, I never want to encounter the single worst waitperson I've ever dealt with. There was a notation on the bottom of the check that you could leave feedback online through whoever the foodservice company is but it didn't appear to work. Anyway.....bottom line.... skip the airport location if you're outbound and just wait for the inflight peanuts. If you're inbound, skip it as well and head down to the Hyde Park location. read more
