We've given this place two tries now, wanting to be fair before leaving a review, but unfortunately, both visits left us disappointed. On our most recent visit, I ordered the meatloaf, and my husband had the bangers and mash. The meatloaf tasted more like Salisbury steak, lacking the classic texture and flavor we expected. My husband's dish was equally underwhelming--the sausage had a freezer-burnt taste, and the peas looked the same. Service was a mixed bag. Our waiter was friendly, but the overall experience was confusing. When you walk in, no one acknowledges you. The staff makes eye contact but doesn't greet or guide you, leaving you to guess whether you should seat yourself--without any signage to clarify. We really wanted to love this place, and it has potential. Hopefully, management takes feedback seriously because with some improvements in food quality and customer service, this could be a great spot.

Ownership recently changed and we were eager to see the "new" menu and restaurant improvements since the food had slowly became substandard over the past few years. When we got there, it was if nothing had changed; the prices had slightly increased and the menu appeared to be the same. Service was still friendly, though infrequent (in all fairness the place was pretty full). I do love the rugged Irish bar look with the dark woods and signs, it does provide a nice sense of comfort. Put the place has little to no soundproofing so when there are large parties it can get quite difficult to have an 1:1 conversation. Add in the bar crowd and occasional jukebox tune and you're just blinking awkwardly at your table mate. Dinner came out quickly. I ordered the Lonestar chicken sandwich with a $2 upgrade to side salad, hubby had the Sully's burger as it comes. His hamburger patty was incredibly thin, though the toppings were fresh and the bun soft, they were what made up the majority of his "burger". Your $12 burger is really a $8 burger....so if you want to really eat a hamburger, you'll have to pay extra for the 1/2 or 1/3 pound. My chicken sandwich tasted tangy and the veggies on the sandwich and salad were crunchy delicious. I felt like the chicken was lacking a bit in the meatiness department as well...like it was a half of a chicken breast. For $14 I was hoping for a bit more meat. Fries seemed to be a small portion than I recall before. Fry sauce has a horseradish kick to it, so be warned....hubby was not a fan.

Nice large patio. Great for kids to hang out

Irish nachos! Quaint little pub. Stick to your ribs stew or Halibut fish and chips are two other items to try. Plenty of drink choices.

Ask the Community - Sully's Pub & Grill

    Is Sully's very loud?

It can be. The dining area is very small, and it is in the same area as the bar. The outside is usually a bit quieter. Of course, it depends on the time of day.

We have tried most everything on the menu and have not had anything we don't like. If you try the zombie chick wings...they are HOT HOT! All of the wings are huge and come with tons of toppings! The burgers are all amazing and made with local middleton made bread. The pretzel is a bit spendy but comes with a pound of brats too so it is superrrrr filling! They have the virtual juke box and decided to spend the money to play music that we enjoyed. We bought 30 total credit which is equivalent to about 15 songs. About 5 five songs in one of the bartenders came up to us and asked that if we were playing music. We told her yes we bought the credits and put songs on there she told us that if we kept playing "heavy metal" she would skip our songs and that we should be more mindful of the people around us because they had their summer kick off (started at 6). She didn't skip any of the songs and was actually singing the songs we were playing. The second time she came and talked to us she told us that she was skipping all of our songs. I tried speaking to her respectful stating that it was a first come first service basis and if a customer wanted to play a song they could add it to the list and/or pay the additional charge to move it to the top of the list. She then replies, "sure if you want to be dick about it." Word of advice if you're having an event and want certain music to be played don't give the consumer the ability to pick the songs. I will not be returning and don't recommend anyone visiting this establishment.

The 2 chandeliers have so many cobwebs on them that i wondered if it was left over Halloween decorations. They also have mismatched bulbs. Additionally all the exposed air ductwork is also filthy. My mom turned 82 today and has compromised pulmonary issues and when i saw all this the first thing that ran through my mind is I hope she's not gonna inhale all that stuff and have a rough day tomorrow breathing. Again, admittedly, yes, I am being picky but when I take 12 people out to dinner and drop a couple hundred dollars doing such, I want the place to be sharp and on point. The service is and always has been. But the place is looking a little rough. A few guys, a few ladders and a few hours will make a lot of difference.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.
