There are dart boards and shuffleboard table, which were not in use. Our server was attentive and friendly, as were other staff we interacted with. Beer menu is extensive as you would imagine from the name, and they also have a separate cocktail menu (but we did try). Food was very good. I had The Cask. As long as you like goat cheese, you should like this sandwich. I loved it. Other meals included the pulled pork sandwich and Reuben. All were good. Lake George, NY - with 16 craft beer selections on tap plus an extensive list of bottles and cans (many niche labels I've never heard of), this is the spot to hit up if you like beers. We stumbled in for a late bite on a quiet winter carnival weekend and there were only a handful of patrons, mostly locals sitting at the bar. The bartender (and our server) Edward was friendly and kept an eye on us and made sure we had what we needed. The food is solidly average pub fare, not bad and perfectly serviceable, but it shouldn't be your primary objective if you're a foodie hunter like me. But on a main drag littered mostly with mediocre bar-restaurants charging tourist prices for tourist indifference, I'll take "just fine" as a win. I'm not much of a drinker but my husband liked his can of Copper Legend lager so much that he ordered another one to go. The beer selection here is unreal! I've never seen so many different types of beer in one place. I had a blueberry beer on draft and it was smooth and refreshing. If you are a beer aficionado this is a great place to hang. They also have a large food menu with bar food classics like burgers, wings, etc. The soft pretzels with mustard and cheese were so good. Definitely a must to enjoy with a cold brew. I also had a cheese quesadilla which was pretty basic and did not disappoint. Unfortunately service was lackluster. They were a bit understaffed, and it took so long for our food to come out. I also got the wrong order (cheese quesadilla instead of chicken) but didn't want to overwhelm the kitchen even more. We found this place on Yelp and decided to go for dinner. It did not disappoint!! We started with fried chipotle pepperoni as an appetizer! It was unique and different. Whoever thought to deep fry pepperoni needs an award. It was like tangy and spicy pepperoni chips. Delicious! For my entree I had the California burger but I subbed grilled chicken for the beef. It was so delicious! It had roasted red peppers, avocado and a pesto Mayo/aioli. Delicious in every bite. It came with chips, but for $2 you can upgrade to fries. The fries were good too. Nice and crispy and good flavors. I didn't even need to dip in ranch as I typically do. Other things that were ordered included a pulled pork and another sandwich that I can't remember. I'm not entirely sure why this place was rated 5 stars. We chose to eat here because it was rated 5 stars on yelp and one of the few places open late. Unfortunately the dinner was left much to be desired. The mojito was so weak it was equivalent to drinking a soda and I'm a lightweight at that The honey BBQ wings were over battered and over cooked to the point it was very hard instead of being soft and tender or anything. And the sauce was mixed with something that tasted like jerk seasoning. I'm not sure what taste exactly they were aiming for. Stay away from the chicken tacos. It tastes like broiled unseasoned chicken lathered with coleslaw. I have never been more disappointed with a dinner but after the cruise and scenic walk we were hungry. Found this place while away for a weekend in lake George. It was one of the few places that were still open due to it being off-season. The staff ( bar tender) was great and took my order right away. The food was absolutely delicious and not too pricey. It was a nice cozy establishment in my personal opinion. Wasn't a huge place but definitely comfortable. Atmosphere was welcoming. We walked in around 8:30pm Saturday night and we were seated immediately which was great. Not too busy with a few tables open for seating and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We waited overall 20 minutes watched their hostesses and waitresses walk by us each a handful of times without stopping to even get us water. They need to be just a tad crispier and the sauce is broken (medium) should be thick and have a zing! The "Korean" BBQ pork belly tacos was missing Gochujang So I would say this was an Asian inspired taco with hoisin and sesame oil and sriracha. A bunch of us have been popping into the Tap Room quite often over the past years. This year there was 14 of us. The bar itself is a great place with a great atmosphere. We have always had a good meal as well. I have to say the last few times we visited, the Bartender April has been way off her game. She is extremely rude and downright mean!!! We were last in there over the Holiday weekend for the Winter Carnival. We came in for some drinks midafternoon and were told we couldn't sit at the high tops because they were for people who (in case they showed up) were going to eat. Keep in mind, there was maybe 8 people at the bar, it was NOT busy in there. She did say we could sit at the tables. This makes no sense whatsoever!!! Then a couple of the guys were told they couldn't sit at the bar either. Again, makes no sense. We have met the owner in the past and she is very nice. I'm not sure if we will be back or not, but it surely will be at night when April is not working. I came here with my family during our recent Lake George trip. We started off with some appetizers - Bavarian Pretzels, Bruschetta, and Hummus Dip - they were all good. For my meal I decided to order from the Specials, and got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries. I really enjoyed my sandwich - the chicken was perfectly crispy and the amount of buffalo sauce was just right. The fries were also really good and I loved their honey mustard for dipping. The only complaint I have is about the water - for some reason it just tasted funky. There was essentially no ice in our pitcher, so this probably made it more nasty tasting. I'm not one to complain about something so little, but the taste was just too weird. Regardless, I can see my family returning during our next trip. read more
