I'm going to be honest, the Thank You Mocha wasn't for me. The flavor reminded me a bit of Parmesan cheese, which made it difficult to enjoy, although I'm sure that's not the intended taste. It just didn't match my preferences. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the hojicha latte. It was a little on the sweeter side, but I think ordering it half sweet would make it just about perfect. The roasted hojicha flavor came through nicely and made for a much more enjoyable drink. The shop itself is really cute. It has a unique half retail, half coffee shop concept that gives it a lot of character. I also like the convenient location on a major street. While I wasn't impressed by every drink I tried, the atmosphere and concept make it worth a visit. The drinks could be a little stronger in execution, but I might just be picky when it comes to coffee. I have not yet tried the other drinks yet so I'm excited to try something else next time. the strawberry matcha and hojicha latte are my favorites here. drinks come relatively quick and staff is nice. my order for a 'hojicha latte' was misheard as 'matcha latte' once - but both drinks taste great, so i wasn't miffed. the store is pretty small so a line can make it crowded - but has a nice selection of artisan goods and is connected to my favorite stationary store in LA. keep in mind there's not always someone manning the home goods register on the other half of the store. go when it's not busy and there'll probably be seating and street parking outside. read more

The coffee shop is located right next to a stationary store. It's a little deceiving because there is a little archway that says "Thank you Coffee" but that is not the actual coffee shop. We ordered a boring latte and a cold brew. The boring latte was just okay in my opinion and unfortunately the cold brew fell a little flat. REAL TALK: I was so excited to check out Thank You Coffee because their cute little logos and characters are just AMAZING - totally obsessed! I stopped by while in the area - the store itself is just so so so cute, as it shares a communal space where it sells items from Paper Plant Co. I tried one of their popular ones, the 'you're welcome latte', which was prepared with lapsang souchong and chicory pecan bitters; unfortunately, this was just not good. It was extremely weak and watered down, and there wasn't much of a flavor. They have another location out in Anaheim, in which their menu offers a food menu. Thank You Coffee in Chinatown Los Angeles is a great little spot. It's located in a small, cute shopping plaza with street parking. The inside is fairly small, but what really caught my attention was the line outside the door, which is always a good sign. Even with the line, the service was quick and efficient. We waited no longer than five minutes, and our drinks came out fast. I ordered the hojicha latte and it was amazing. It was so good it was gone in minutes. It is very little spot but don't let its size underestimate you - in addition to its interesting specialty drinks, this store is filled with so many amazing little surprises including houseware goods, cute calendars, and other fun knickknacks for yourself or the other interesting people in your life. In the heart of LA's often-forgotten Chinatown is Thank You Coffee. It's a small shop on Hill Street close to the 110, with an exterior that hints closely at the bright colors scattered through its interior. You can get your stationery, knickknacks, and caffeine fix all in one go. I thought I would like it more than I actually did? It tasted like a normal pumpkin spice latte but was grainy from the spice; I wish it had more of the characteristic kabocha taste. Jasmine buckwheat latte was very floral and I think Molly Tea fans would like it a lot? It's very unique and I would return to get it. Overall couldn't really taste the coffee especially because it was a little too sweet for me, but the flavor combinations are very unique and this is the kind of Asian influence I live for. This is such a nice shop located in the heart of Chinatown. It's small with no inside seating, a stationary supply counter and a very relaxing vibe. We both had Cortados, They were delicious. This is definitely a top coffee shop. I've been to their OC location and the great coffee & service are consistently great! The baristas are very friendly and make their delicious drinks quickly. I am a definite matcha lover so any chance I get I love trying new places. We were in the area picking up food and since we had sometime to kill I decided to look up a coffee spot near by and we got Thank you Coffee. Let's start by saying that the name is very clever and it caught my eye. It's a cute little walk past Chinatown, which is kinda cool because you can def walk through if you have time afterwards. It's a small shop with cute outdoor seating. Def not what I expected but loved it. When you walk in they have a bunch of little things that you could buy, the have cute artistic items and so on. The drinks here are really good! The service is nice. And the ambiance is also fun and cutesy. It's a very small store (5 people max) and they do enforce it (I was scolded but deserved it I didn't count I was sleepy oops). In an effort to fix my life (wake up earlier) my sibling and I walked here in the morning so idk about the parking. It also had a pretty long line on a Saturday so maybe it's better to go on a random weekday. We got a spiced praline coffee that tasted a lot like star anise and a dodgers blue drink. It was basically blue milk, but as someone who loves blue and milk and especially blue milk it was very cool. As a matcha snob I am truly amazed by the creativity of your drinks. If you actually want an experience, something thats not a basic copy and paste matcha at any other place, I highly recommend this place. I would definitely recommend those two drinks, which I'm glad I got to try from my friends because otherwise I wouldn't have enjoyed this place as much as I did since the Dodger Blue milk with matcha that I ordered was very underwhelming and not good. The lattes I tried both had a strong flavor profile of Hojicha and Jasmine which i loved. Still in love with Thank You Coffee. Wanted to update my review with the newest drink on their menu. The Dodger Milk. I popped in to order my regulars and noticed a bright blue drink walking by. Saw the sign and description for it at the counter and ordered it immediately. The friendly attendant stated I can add espresso or matcha for the caffeine but highly suggested I go with the matcha. For some reason I recently got exposed more with cafes around Chinatown. One of trickiest spots in town for parking and traffic typically wasn't a friend. This super cute coffee shop was right next to an amazingly hooking stationary shop as well as a dainty cake shop, giving me the feeling like hitting 3 at once; BIG WIN! As the place was kinda tiny, the line could easily overflow to the storefront as they only allowed few people to be inside at same time. It moved very quickly though as the baristas were super frisky. It's smart that they're capturing the nearby iconic Dodger Stadium into their special menu. Yep, literally blue-colored as it featured butterfly pea flower mixed with honey and house-made syrup. It's said to contain Pandan leaves though I couldn't really smell the fragrance. You could add espresso or matcha shot to the blue milk, for which I opted for the prior. It's pretty enjoyable if you fancied fun sweet iced coffee. Will I come back? The workers are very friendly, but they do tend to have side conversations with each other pretty frequently and don't stop even when new customers arrive in the store. I love coming for the vibes, drinks, and food. The staff is always so helpful and really good at helping me decide what to get. The seats could get kinda uncomfortable so it might be a little hard to do work for a longer period of time. It is a good place to catch up with a friend or people watch. I tried a seasonal drink, buttery pecan matcha latte, on the left. The flavors of the matcha had a nice sweetness that wasn't too overpowering on the creamy matcha taste! My friend had a hot jasmine buckwheat latte on the right. It was a cozy light drink. We shared a black sesame cookie and it was more of a chewy cookie if you prefer that! I feel like I usually don't taste the nuttiness of the black sesame in baked desserts but the flavor was perfectly potent.
