My crown fell out on a Friday night while flossing and I needed an urgent re-cement over the weekend. From start to completion, it was a top notch experience. Very easy to call to set up the appointment on Saturday afternoon, seamless onboarding with Aetna PPO Dental, online or paper-based enrollment (as I only had time to complete some forms ahead of time), very clear communication on the procedures required and associated costs, and most importantly Dr. Ro was very thorough, took the time to ensure that the crown was properly cleaned before re-cementing as well as post-procedure steps and recommendation should it happen again. Had such an amazing experience. I was suffering from a tooth infection for almost a week and my original dental care could not fit me in until December, fortunately I stumbled across 172 dental and they were able to accommodate me for same day visit and extraction. I had a really good first visit at 172 NYC dental! There were a few delays getting called in and with the machines, which were having a slow day, but once things got rolling the experience was excellent. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Prior to my visit, a different dentist tried to scam me, telling me that I had 5 cavities that needed to be filled, but I found out from here that I actually had none! Dr Ahn is amazing. Highly recommend for Invisalign, dental fillings, or any other dental work. I had a really bad experience with another dentist office in Brooklyn (why I switched to Dr Ahn and 172 NYC Dental via a recommendation from a buddy of mine that also uses him) and he got me over my fears and made my last fillings quick and painless. A small touch that helped this was that he would tell me what was happening each step of the way so I knew what to expect and didn't confuse steps (e.g. think he was drilling when he was just polishing). Another anecdote that demonstrates he and his team's quality of care is that I came in the other month to get my new Invisalign trays and he saw a stain on my front tooth and fixed it on spot without me asking because he wanted my teeth to look good for the long 3 day holiday weekend. He has a heart of gold and too doesn't like being in the chair so he goes the extra mile to keep dental work as painless as possible. The back office team is also pretty incredible. I just let them know what days work for me and I get text message confirmations and reminders. Super easy and convenient. Will use Dr Ahn as my primary dentist as long as he will have me as a patient! read more

I recently had a dental cleaning with Dr. Reddy at 172 NYC Dental office. It was such a great experience for me. She's young and very professional. She cleaned my teeth thoroughly and gently. She did my exam and addressed my concerns. Dr. Reddy and her assistant really made me feel so comfortable. The office is very modern, clean and tidy. The staffs/front desks were very welcoming. The x-ray tech on that day was nice and friendly. My over all experience was great, so I highly recommend this dental office located between 33rd St. and Madison Ave, which is super close to train stations so it's convenient. read more

I have been to both clinics at 172 & 209 NYC Dental. I've been a patient at NYC Dental for several years and always had a very good experience with various doctors and front desk personnel. I've seen Dr. Drach, Dr Kaminsky, Dr Song, Dr. Nikitayev. I've always left very good reviews for the professional and kind staff I've encountered at NYC Dental. Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience on my last visit, July 06/2022, during my appointment with the hygienist. I was enquiring about insurance options due an employer change, and asked the hygienist for advice about purchasing dental insurance on my own. We agreed that insurances are overall expensive. The hygienist then became very aggressive saying that America is a horrible place to live in, the worst on earth. I said I think the USA is a great country even though insurances are expensive. I was verbally attacked and was immediately yelled at that I "had it easy because of my background". The hygienist has never met me before that appointment. This is a rude, totally our of line, and an unacceptable comment, more so coming from a professional who never met me before. I found myself being yelled at, in a professional setting, for the Roe v. Wade overturn, for people who are not treated for cancer because of no insurance. I was verbally assaulted, screamed at with the door open for everyone to hear, and was treated in a very rude way. I said I do not wish to continue this conversation. The hygienist then was very rough with the teeth cleaning. I came to a dental clinic as a patient, to have my teeth cleaned, not to be lectured about politics, humiliated, or be told about my own life experiences. It was inappropriate and completely out of line. While I had very good experiences up until now, this one left a very bad impression on me. read more

I have been a patient for years of Dr.Ahn's. I started at his first location (Corinthian Dental), then went to 209 Dental, and today, the newest location on Madison Avenue at 33rd,172 NYC Dental. The new space is very modern and bright, and has an entrance on the street so it is very easy to find. I went for a cleaning today, and everyone who assisted from the X-ray technician to reception were very polite, prompt and professional. I'd like to do a special shout-out to Dr. Reddy, who did my cleaning today, and her assistant. It was probably the most comfortable I have been having a cleaning. She was thorough but gentle with the checkup and polishing. Also, the room I was in had glass walls showing a canopy of tree tops. I almost forgot I was in Manhattan! Highly recommend. read more
