Yum! I managed to catch them just 10 minutes before close on a Sunday, I was with a friend shopping next door and she said- lets check out that bakery! They had three different flavors of quiche! I went with the ham, Gruyere and asparagus one and my girlfriend opted for the feta, artichoke, red peppers and onion one. We both enjoyed the delicious flaky crust and the filling! I splurged on the blackberry citrus loaf- the icing was spot on and made the loaf a bite of flavor perfection, the loaf without icing was a bit on the dry side, but still yummy. My friend got the gluten free, nutella brownie- she said it was good, fudgey and had a hint of nutella. I also snagged a seasonal tea- very good, on the sweet side. Ordered myself a chai latte with oatmilk and lavender syrup-- and for the price I got a great deal. Also got chia pudding and their mojo chicken sandwich. Wowza. Have been wanting to try this place for quite some time, and as we were in the area, today was the day. It is such an attractive spot. Seating inside and out, pleasant music, warm and inviting decor. They have a lovely case of baked goods to salivate over, and their menu selections are on the wall. I opted for the Breakfast Sandwich on toasted Sourdough Bread. The bread was perfectly crunchy and had that gentle tang of a sourdough. The bacon was salty and crispy, the egg runny and delicious. All in all it was an amazing sandwich. One small drawback to the sourdough is that you don't get everything in each bite as the egg is in the middle, so you work your way there. WIth the English Muffin you would get all the ingredients in each and every bite. Just a heads up if that is important to you. I found it amazing anyway. I also ordered a side of their salted Fingerling Potatoes. They were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of salt. Portion was sharable due to the size of the sandwich I had. I also had a chai iced tea with oat milk. First time for oat milk for me, and the chai was just perfect. Not too overpowering, but you knew it was there. We had an opportunity to speak with the owner and she was delightful. They opened not too long before Covid, and she said they've done okay and are thankful for the word-of-mouth that they get, and I can see why that is plentiful! This is a must visit spot. I saw several items in their take away case that would be great for dinner too. They have soups, pot pies, even fresh fruit and veggies to go. What a wonderful idea to come for breakfast and grab dinner too! The sourdough bread was cut (almost too) thick, toasted, with a medium egg, thick cut crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and optionally added kimchee. The kimchee was pretty mild but added another nice crunch component. The staff was really friendly and it was clearly a local haunt. Lol its adorable walking in, small quaint, as Carla said in her review it's like a warm hug! :) They have a display case where they show off all their baked goods, everything looked amazing and it's hard to pick what to get! I ended up getting a turkey sandwich made on their homemade bread, it was excellent and reminded me of eating my grandparents fresh bread. I got a few Galettes with roasted veggies and cheese inside, a sweet cheese danish...so far everything yum! Then I saw they have prepared meals too!! What! and the prices were reasonable...they had a bacon wrapped meatloaf with roasted fingerling potatoes($16) garlic butter steamed broccoli ($5) house made pimento cheese ($5)and fresh English muffins($5)! A rainy Saturday morning brought my best friend and I for some home baked goodness. I had the sourdough breakfast sandwich....it tasted amazing! That bread was perfection!!!!! It was buttered and toasted with a farm fresh egg and some thick bacon and fresh field greens! Ok, between you and I....I was full, but I could have eaten another one just because they flavor was amazing!!!! Shhhhhh!!! While not as sexy, it was very good and had fruit, almonds, and a bit of brown sugar on top. They actually had two different chia pudding options. My chai latte I asked for unsweetened, and still had plenty of flavor. It wasn't that big, though. The baked goods spread was enormously appealing, and I sampled a peach-based muffin, which was richly delicious.
