    Dog croissant
    Janelle S.

I came here to get some studying done and a little snack. Great atmosphere and has about 10 plugs lined on their plant wall/divider so it was helpful with charging my laptop. Seats are comfortable. All the workers are very sweet and I believe the owner was also in shop today and was super kind to every customer. I got their dog croissant and the croissant was sooooooo flaky! I had to post it on my social media and text my bf right away about how amazing it was. I usually wouldn't think it's worth $8 but most prices are going up so I would expect prices to be close to this in other places but it was just SO flaky and warm that it was worth it. I'm also going to take some sweet croissants to go but my order hit the savory spot for sure! I have to come back to try their drinks but first time in and I was pleasantly surprised and will be a repeat customer. P.S. they also have "leftover" pastries that's literally only one day old and sell for half price.

Matcha me! Cruffin & Tea is so cute! I loved the set up and the service. When I went they were already sold out of the pastry's I wanted to try. I also think it was due to them just opening so the entire city was on alert that something new was in town. But I didn't let that stop me or without me leaving with something which was, a matcha. The service from the staff was top tier which I loved. I will be back soon so that I can try some of their bakery items.

If you appreciate fine pastries and a more refined approach to baking, Cruffin & Tea is an absolute gem. The star here, of course, is the cruffin -- that beautiful hybrid of a croissant and a muffin. Made from laminated Viennoiserie dough that's carefully proofed and baked in a muffin mold, it delivers everything you hope for in a great pastry: delicate layers, light texture, and incredible flavor. What really stood out to me was the balance. Every item is made to perfection and carries a subtle elegance that instantly reminded me of pastries I've enjoyed during visits to Italy and France. Unlike many American bakeries where desserts can feel overloaded with sugar and heavy fillings, the pastries here are gently sweet, letting the buttery layers and natural flavors shine through. Everything we tried was exceptional. The chocolate croissants were beautifully flaky with just the right amount of rich chocolate inside. The plain croissant was airy, crisp on the outside, and wonderfully layered. The raspberry cruffin was a standout--light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. We sampled a few other pastries as well, and each one had that same delicate, handcrafted quality. To go along with the pastries, we ordered mango tea and chocolate matcha tea, both of which paired wonderfully with the baked goods. The drinks were smooth, refreshing, and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere adds to the experience. The space has a calm, relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger. You'll notice many guests sitting with friends, reading, or simply enjoying their tea and pastries at an unhurried pace. Service was another highlight--quick, warm, and genuinely friendly, which always makes a place even more enjoyable. Cruffin & Tea is the kind of place that reminds you how special pastries can be when they're made with care and restraint. Light, flaky, flavorful, and elegant--this is a spot I'll happily return to whenever the craving for a truly great pastry strikes.

I'd love to gate keep this cafe for myself cause I genuinely enjoyed the peace and quiet while I was there. There's big enough seating for business meetings or work from home girlies who want a different view while working. I like how their matcha is not overly sweet. You can taste the strawberry and the matcha doesn't taste grassy either. Their croissant buns are perfectly flaky and not oily at all. And last but not the least, their macaron is simply divine. Service is similar to other cafes but I noticed a handful of customers that the cashier knew so they must have regulars already even though they just opened. I hope the quality of food does not change. I definitely found my new go to cafe since this is so close to home!

I was so pleasantly surprised at how soft and fresh both this danish and chocolate croissant was! You don't find many places that have such fresh pastries. I highly recommend this little shop! Friendly staff and very welcoming! I'll be back to try more!

Absolutely loved my visit to Cruffin & Tea This beautiful French-Asian bakery on Southside feels like such a hidden gem in Jacksonville. The pastries were incredible -- flaky, fresh, and full of flavor. The cruffins, croissants, and artisan pastries honestly reminded me of being in Europe -- everything tasted high-quality, thoughtfully made, and truly special. You can feel the intention behind every detail: fresh-baked goods every morning, no artificial dyes, homemade sauces, premium ingredients, and drinks that are just as good as the pastries. The pistachio cruffin and the strawberry and mango matcha were standout favorites -- so fresh and perfectly balanced. What made the experience even more meaningful was meeting the owner, Katelyn. She is genuinely kind, warm, and passionate. She took the time to come over, share her story, and talk about the heart behind the café and the love that goes into everything they create. We even bonded over food -- she loves Indian food, I told her I make the best, and we instantly connected over my love for croissants and her love for butter chicken. That personal connection made the visit even more special. This isn't just a bakery -- it's a dream, a passion project, and a place built with love and care. So grateful to have this in our community. Highly recommend supporting this beautiful local business -- you'll feel it in the atmosphere, the service, and every bite. We got there a bit late, I would say around 5pm. Not sure if they were just out of bakery items or they just didn't have anymore on display but we were able to snag a strawberry croissant. It was delicious, it was light and the filling was not too sweet. It's big enough to share but I also didn't want to share. Mango sticky rice has coconut milk, and it really tasted like mango sticky rice. You can't go wrong with the strawberry and mango matcha if you like those flavors. Parking is a bit sparse, it's a small parking lot.

Love and hate that this new bakery is down the street from me because I'll be coming here so much! The inside had a great atmosphere and was decorated very cute like you're in an outside garden! There is an iPad you can order from or you can order from the front counter. We got the chocolate cruffin, almond , and the fruit tart. The cruffin was delicious! The dough so airy! The chocolate inside was kind of like a light mousse, not too sweet but just right! We loved the almond paste in the croissant and the croissant itself. I really enjoyed the fruit tart! Next time I will get a matcha! I didn't this visit because I already had a latte before coming and I'm trying to have only 1 caffeinated drink a day. They only have matcha here. No coffee. This French-Asian bakery is solid! 10/10

This is such a fast five stars and thank you Yelp for introducing me to this place! I stopped in before a work training to grab a quick bite and I was really craving a good Matcha. I ordered at the kiosk so I was able to look through all the pictures and I finally selected the pistachio cream coffin, the ham and cheese croissant and a strawberry Matcha. All three were absolutely incredible. Every single bite. I closed my eyes so I could make sure I wasn't missing a second of it. While I waited for my food to come, I sat and just took in the restaurant because they've done such a good job with decorating it. Also, there are games for people that are interested in playing games while they either wait for their food or while they eat their food. It may be took 10 minutes to get my food, but it was probably less than that. Boy was everything I ordered also huge at first I thought it was a little bit expensive for the different items but once I saw their size, I realize it was actually relatively fair priced. I will absolutely be back because though these items are probably filled with calories they were worth every single one and that is one of the highest compliments that I can give a restaurant!

We found out about this new place that opened on Southside blvd near to Publix and Copeland's. The have free parking lot parking. The cafe was light , airy and well decorated with a photowall for selfies. They also have a selection of board games to enjoy with company. The menu was interesting and covered the necessary bases for a sweet tooth. I sampled the Nutella cookie which captured the crunch and sweetness that one would desire. The other pastries were fresh, delicious and satisfying. The mango matcha latte was a favorite. Service was quick and friendly . I arrived to late to get the cruffins as the sold out quickly! I will be back to catch it next time!

I went in with a group with friends and our kids. Love the open space and inviting atmosphere. We came in during soft opening, so I do give them some grace during this time. While they're trying to figure out their menu and perfecting the drinks as well as training the baristas. I did receive 20% off as part of their promotion possibly. The Matcha taste super refreshing and not overly sweet. However, the ice was filled to the top, and the amount of Matcha drink was almost only halfway filled. I did suggest it in the suggestion box that they work on that so hopefully that will get fixed soon. The pastry is super fluffy and the pistachio filling is so Delicious and runny. I noticed that everything was made to order and the pastries are freshly baked daily. I highly recommend this place if you haven't been just to give it a try. Parking might be tricky because it does sit at the end unit and it's hard to find from the main road.

Recently visited this cute spot across from Tinseltown. It was later in the afternoon so I, fortunately, got the last cruffin (chocolate) and it was delicious...light and flakey. There was a small selection of croissants (strawberry and mixed berry) left that looked amazing but I wanted to try what they're named for of course. I also ordered the mango sticky rice matcha latte. I'm not a huge fan of matcha but this was yummy and refreshing. The matcha wasn't over powering and the drink wasn't too sweet. I will be going back to try the croissants soon!

We got there at 2 pm, and they were sold out of almost everything. That is how popular they are! I ordered the savory hot dog pastry and Oreo macaroons. The hot dog was the best I've ever had in my life. I will return for this alone! The macaroons were great! Our student Ivy's parents own this place, and we wanted to support them. We will return to hopefully try a cruffin!

It was a little bit of a drive away, near the beach, and there was absolutely no parking on a Friday night. My husband dropped me off and circled while I placed a few to go orders. It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.

The ham was below average, with one hard bit. My wife didn't like that there was so little pineapple in it. Our Napoleon pastry was pretty good, and I might get it again ($5 for a small one). We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep). Their fruit shaped pastries looked beautiful (and a couple next to us said they loved the mango one), but were $12 each. Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. There are only four stools here next to a bar, if you want to eat in. The bathroom was pretty good. I probably wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area I might try some of their other pastries or sweet treats.
