Stopped at 17th street grill. The service here was good. The inside was larger than it looks from outside. Clean and well layed out. The happy hour food was good. Will stop here again

Came again for dinner again, this time for my mother-in-law's birthday. We ordered off the menu this time. They have a lot of fantastic appetizers. Mushroom Bruschetta, Brussel Sprouts, Chicken Wings, Avocado Bruschetta. This time I ordered the House Salad ($11) which has salami, mushrooms, cheese and house dressing. It was really good. Then I got the Roasted Chicken Carbonara ($22), not so great. On paper, this is my favorite pasta - prosciutto, peas, smoked cream sauce. It was not a Carbonara, the cream sauce was watery like they didn't drain the pasta well. Luckily I had filled up on tasty appetizers and the House Salad, so I took most of the pasta home. As leftovers it was slightly better since the sauce had thickened up and I could cut up the prosciutto into bite size pieces. Great service, lovely time with the family. This is a good place if you have a large group.

Hi, Today I went to 17th Street Grill for lunch. This is pretty much a non-descript restaurant in Tustin off 17th and the 55 freeway. There were two of us for lunch. We were seated in a half booth. As my partner sat down in the chair side of the half booth the pad on the chair top fell off! As we attempted to replace the chair the manager came over. We showed him the chair and said, "There are no screws in the seat." Obviously. Then he just rolled his eyes. No apology, nothing. As for the food, We both ordered the Cobb salad. Myself the large version, my partner the small. When the salads came. My salad was in a different type of bowl, but it was very obvious that my portion was actually smaller than the small version which was $4.00 dollars less! It's sad, as the salad was actually pretty good. But it was hard to enjoy it when you know you could have gotten a larger salad for $4.00 less! Before you say they messed the up the two salads, we confirmed mine was the large with the waitress. I hate giving one star reviews! But, in this case I really felt there was no other option. Jim

Secret Menu item Pork Belly Benedict

If you are looking for a local breakfast spot, I got you. You must try the pork belly benedict. A former menu item, this legend has stayed alive in the hearts and minds of regulars who refuse to allow it to fade into obscurity. The service is great, our coffees are kept warm and refilled often. The staff is attentive and friendly. We are never left hanging waiting for creamer, sugar or to go boxes. Food comes out quickly, or within a reasonable amount of time based on how busy they are. While I have remained true to my love, the pork belly Benedict, my husband has ordered most of the breakfast menu, and there have been no complaints so far. The restaurant clean, bright and comfortable. This local spot is a gem. If you are in need of regular breakfast situation, 17th Street Grill would be my first recommendation. Love the food. Love the staff. Truly can't recommend them enough.

They were also playing the Champions League Finals on the TVs which was good. I assume they'll play the World Cup games too. We ordered the Gravy Train and the Ham-azing Croissant. Just a warning, the Ham-azing Croissant is HUGE! This is a definitely a dish meant for sharing. They asked if we wanted them to pour the sauce over the croissant or leave it on the side to dip in. We decided to leave it on the side to be dipped. This croissant sandwich was very dense and filling and the cheese sauce was very rich. I been on the hunt to find the best biscuits and gravy in OC. The ones here were ok. I liked the idea of getting these with fried chicken but unfortunately the fried chicken was quite dry and stringy. The biscuits themselves were buttery and the gravy sauce was very savory and had onion chunks. But the dry chicken made the entire dish very hard to eat. Overall this was a decent brunch, mostly since we spent under $40 for so much food so it was a decent deal.

ENCHILIDA SUIZAS, lobster + shrimp filling, corn, poblano cream sauce, pickled red onion, cilantro, queso fresco, I give 5/5, I enjoyed the combination of the sauce and enchiladas, it wasn't overcooked and had a great refreshing savory flavor. I wanted to share some comprehensive feedback regarding a recent experience, aiming to highlight both your successes and areas where further refinement could elevate the customer journey even further. First and foremost, I must commend your team for their exceptional warmth and hospitality. From my initial phone call to the moment I picked up my order, I felt genuinely welcomed and valued. This level of customer service, which often feels lacking in many establishments today, truly sets American Grub apart. It creates a welcoming atmosphere that significantly enhances the overall experience, and I sincerely hope this commitment to friendliness remains a cornerstone of your operation. However, I encountered a couple of points that, in my personal opinion, warrant consideration for improvement. Regarding the payment process, I felt a degree of apprehension about providing my credit card details over the phone. While I understand the operational need to secure orders and prevent potential losses, particularly for larger transactions, for a single item like my bacon cheeseburger, priced at $17.24 including tax, this practice felt somewhat disproportionate. I also noted the 99-cent fee for online payments, which, while minor, might deter some customers who are seeking convenience without additional charges. Perhaps exploring alternative secure payment links for phone orders or adjusting the fee structure for smaller transactions could enhance customer comfort and streamline the process. My primary concern, however, arose upon returning home. Despite ordering a bacon cheeseburger, I discovered the burger completely lacked bacon, as well as any form of sauce or mayonnaise. This oversight had a significant impact on the meal; the absence of these core components rendered the burger quite bland and far from the experience I had anticipated. When ordering a single item, the expectation for meticulous attention to detail is particularly high, as there are fewer variables. Consequently, the overall value of the meal, given the missing ingredients, was not quite met on this occasion. I did reach out to the owner privately via email to discuss these points, and I appreciate their responsiveness and transparency in addressing my feedback, particularly concerning the rationale behind the phone payment policy. It is reassuring to know that your business is open to customer input. My hope is that these observations can serve as constructive input, allowing American Grub to continue refining its excellent service and product quality. I remain a supporter of your local endeavor and look forward to seeing these aspects addressed. Thank you for reaching out. To clarify, all my reviews and communications are crafted solely from my personal experiences and genuine perspectives, not AI. Every word and insight you read is authentically mine, driven by my commitment to provide honest feedback. Even though the review was long..(lol) I wanted to make sure the details are accurate and understandable. Plus I think you and your establishment are great and I wanted to detail that as well Kimberly.

What other better place to celebrate our friend reunion at a place called "Reunion"? ;)…read more We were looking for a good brunch place to try out and found this place near Corona. Parking: I had no problem finding parking spot as the lot is huge and shared with many other businesses. Interior: We were seated right away without any wait time as we arrived when they just opened. We were seated in a dark area of the restaurant (think bar vibe) so I was a little not sure at first. Most brunch places I went to were always filled with sunlight and bright colorful interiors. This place embraced a classic, quiet feel, something like a Steak House would have. Service: Our server's name was Susan I believe, who was nice and attentive through the whole meal, despite the crowd slowly built up and filled the restaurant. She never failed to check back on us, not just once but twice and refilled our water. She probably isn't as familiar with the brunch menu favorites but seem to know more about the Main menu. The General Manager came out and greeted us because most of their customers are regulars and it's uncommon to have first timers like us visiting. This nice hospitality made us feel very warmly welcomed and impressed. Food: I couldn't decide whether to go with the Slow braised beef on the brunch menu (braised beef benedict) or the main menu but ended up going with the Main menu to get a good portion size. It was a perfect choice because the beef is just amazing. It was cooked to a soft perfection, well seasoned, the roasted vegetable was also cooked just right and not super raw/ crunchy like other places. Then the star of the show arrived - the butter cake. As Susan suggested, this is their most popular dessert and I can see why. The butter cake comes piping hot with the ice cream on top. There's a nice sugar crunchy feel near the bottom of the cake. It's so delicious that I want to come back just to eat this cake. We had a great time overall and would love to come back.

While the ordering was seamless and quick, I didn't receive my order until about 20 minutes later which was disappointing considering this seemed like a fast casual joint. As can be seen from the pictures, the food was rather plain. The burger was super dry, with little sauce inside. Believe me when I say that I was very surprised; I honestly don't think it's hard to mess up a burger but alas, it was not enjoyable. The fries provided were pretty standard in quality but a little lacking in quantity. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment.
