    Greek salad with chicken
    Tiffany T.

Tons of seating indoors and outdoors. There is a parking lot in the back. The server was kind and patient with our group. I got the Greek salad with chicken, loved that it had tons of veggies. Dressing was just olive oil, it could have used a lemon or two. I definitely would come back and try more dishes.

I had another wonderful meal at one of my favorite restaurants. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. The ambiance is truly elegant and so relaxing. I enjoyed a beef dip with a Caesar salad, and it was delicious. Our server, Jenny, was so friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. I honestly have no complaints and highly recommend this place!

FANTASTIC RESTAURANT AVA was the sweetest waitress very helpful very kind nice to talk to as well. This was our first time here and we loved it! Nice big outside patio in front and big dining area inside and nice clean restroom.. I love your food made right where you can see them making it special. I think everyone should come and joy this place like we did.

Manifestation of a perfect parking spot in DTO

Manifested the PERFECT parking spot directly across from Citrus City Grille so honestly the night started with a Mother's Day miracle. Started with the mezcal old fashioned and she was the real MVP of the evening. Smoky, smooth, delicious. I ordered the butter leaf salad -- light, fresh, tasty. Youngest ordered the brisket but wasn't vibing with the sauce. Oldest had the chicken which he described as "burned and gummy," but growing boys don't let details like that stop them from eating. We shared the crème brûlée which was less "crackly perfection" and more "creme broolay soup," but technically still edible. Disappointing overall as usually this spot is one of my favorites with consistently good food and generous portions at reasonable prices but not that day. Maybe the special Mother's Day menu was the issue. But at the end of the day, my favorite part was spending time with my sons... and the parking spot. Mostly the sons.

Stopped by for lunch. They had happy hour on the patio. Has a chill vibe. Great Motown playlist. 2 TV's on the patio. The staff were friendly and service was great. We ordered the ravioli, caprese, chicken parm, kids pizza and fries. Everything tasted great. The cheese ravioli was heavy on the spinach taste, not in a bad way, but if that's not your favorite I would pick a different dish. Great place!

Stellar experience all around here! This place has it all, incredible service, inviting atmosphere, nice ambiance, and most importantly -- delicious food. Ava helped me out today and was very friendly and attentive. I sat inside and it was such a cool vibe. The interior is very open and there's plenty of seating, also a bar with a few TVs. There's also an outside dining area which I've eaten at before and it's so nice to chill and people-watch on sunny days. I ordered the Wild King salmon today and it was BOMB!!! The presentation deserves bonus points, and the flavor in this dish truly packed a punch. There was a nice sear on the outside, while the rest of the fish was perfectly flaky and tender. The roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach were a great compliment to the fish and the pesto sauce tied everything together by adding immense flavor to the dish. I loved every single bite and they practically had to stop me from licking the plate clean. Highly recommend you try this dish when you go!! I'm a big fan of this place the couple times that I've been so far and can't wait to go back as I can tell everything I try will rock my tastebud's world.

We're becoming a regular here and still love it. We had Joy as our waitress again tonight and she was such a sweetheart. Ordered various pasta and the rack of lamb which were all yummy, as usual! See you soon Joy!

Happening upon here was a happy accident. We happened to be in the area from picking up an item in Santa Ana and then Yelped another restaurant and tried to eat there. But when getting there at around 8:10 on a Saturday night it still had a 1.5 hour wait. Well having two littles that wasn't reasonable. So we Yelped and saw Citrus City Grille. And honestly?! It was wonderful! They were decked out for Valentine's Day. And we got to enjoy the pretty roses and balloons for it. The lighting was really dim but I imagine it was for Vday festivities. I had to brighten the pics of the menus because they were so dark without using a flash. Our server, Joy, was appropriately named. She was a delight! We ordered a Caesar salad, ribeye, and short rib. The ribeye was unfortunately pretty chewy. The short rib was truly phenomenal! It was extremely tender and just downright delicious! The Caesar salad was fresh and excellent quality. For the kids, we ordered them a grilled cheese with a side of fruit and an adult cheese pizza. The grilled cheese was what l would expect and my kiddo ate around half. Also expected. The side of fruit contained grapes, strawberries and apples. Which is a truly welcome change from the sliced melon and pineapple we usually see. It was fresh and l even ordered another order of it... The adult pizza had some flavor my son didn't like and after eating two bites, I agreed. I couldn't have eaten it either. I said it was an herb-y like taste but not rosemary and also reminded me of soap. It happened to be cinnamon, which I actually really dislike. So that tracked. I will say, my son has food allergies and I am thankful that cinnamon isn't among them but l also knew a dear former coworker who was severely allergic to cinnamon so I feel this unexpected addition to a pizza should be written on the menu. Just for transparency. I have food allergies all throughout my family but this never would be something I would think would be in pizza sauce. So I hope the owners do see this and make sure it's added in the menu somewhere. Joy was kind enough to take it off the bill since my son and I literally only ate maybe 3-4 bites of it We did order a dessert--chocolate soufflé and it was so fun to eat. I haven't eaten soufflé in years. Usually only really expensive steakhouses have them so it was super fun to find them here (that isn't a knock to this restaurant, it's a compliment to have quality food for fair prices, we don't eat often at the expensive steak places because honestly we cook better steaks at home). So especially for Valentine's Day, a soufflé was the absolute perfect dream to end our meal. It was fabulous. We ate it all. I hope next time we come the sticky toffee pudding is on the menu. Hint, hint . If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely come back here again.

Citrus City Grille is a great restaurant in downtown Orange. It is very large and even has a covered patio. I came on a Saturday, but it looks like Monday - Friday they have $15 lunch specials! Since it was on the regular menu, we asked if we were still able to get any of the specials (thinking maybe it was just a price difference). Our very kind server informed us that there were only 3 items there they'd be able to make. We asked if they could still do the BLT. He thought so, but needed to ask the chef. He came back and said they were unable to make it at all. We thought that was so strange, because they have a club sandwich on the menu that has all the same ingredients but just turkey and cheese added and 1 extra slice of bread. So, we asked if we could get the club and remove the turkey. So, it was basically a BLT! I'm not sure if there was some kind of mis communication or what that was all about. Our food was pretty good, but some of the bacon was nearly raw. The shoestring fries were an A++ though. Id go back just for them! Plus, my Arnold Palmer was perfectly sweetened and refreshing!

Citrus City Grille is one of those Old Town Orange gems that just gets it. Tucked along a lively stretch of the circle, it's the kind of place where the energy spills onto the sidewalk--in the best way. We opted for the outdoor heated patio, which turned out to be the perfect decision: cozy, vibrant, and prime people-watching for a great date-night-meets-friends or family night vibe. The food? Crowd-pleasing across the board--which is no small feat when you're dining with 10 people. Every plate arrived beautifully presented, generously portioned, and thoughtfully priced. There were zero regrets at the table, only enthusiastic fork-sharing and "you have to try this" moments. Not pictured were the tantalizingly tasty cocktails: pear drop, zombie-something and the blueberry lemon drop martini which were fantastic! The surprise standout was the soup du jour. A cream-based cabbage soup doesn't exactly scream excitement...until you taste it. Rich, comforting, and wildly better than its humble name suggests, it stole the show in the most unexpected way. Another highlight was the watermelon salad with grilled chicken--fresh, light, and perfectly balanced. Juicy, delicate chunks of sweet watermelon paired with feta, cherry tomatoes, and tender grilled chicken, all tossed in a bright, fruity vinaigrette. It was refreshing, satisfying, and honestly the kind of dish you keep thinking about after the meal is over. Between the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and unbeatable location, Citrus City Grille nailed it as a perfect family meet-up spot--central, charming, and surrounded by the lovely buzz of downtown Orange. It's the kind of place that makes you linger a little longer and already plan your return before the check hits the table. We'll definitely be back--hungry and happy.

We had a large party for 2 milestone birthdays. Everything was so warm and welcoming, especially London! London helped me bring items in from my car and made sure the items that needed to be kept cold were taken care of. Then there was Sara...Sara was a delight as our server, she was on top of everything and made sure our group was taken care of! All the other employees were wonderful as well. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Had a lovely "goodbye" dinner with my roommate after she moved out. We had talked about trying this place, and we are so happy we did! The atmosphere was very classy and felt high class even though we were dressed more casual. We shared a few appetizers including the bacon wrapped figs and calamari. She had the sea bass with risotto, I had the prime rib dip, and my fiance had the burger. We each had one or two drinks (very strong!) Honestly, everything we had was delicious. Our waitress was very sweet and helped us made decisions about our drinks and dishes. I forgot to take any photos, but we would definitely come again to try some new items!

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

The hours never really worked with our schedule either being from 8:30 am to 2 pm. We started off with the Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew ($7) and Pandan Cold Brew ($7). My bf absolutely loved the ube cold brew and said it was probably the best he's ever had. He loved it so much that he got another one to-go after we finished our meal so that was a rare occurrence lol. The ube flavor was strong even after everything was mixed together. Smooth, creamy and tasty. My pandan cold brew was also pretty good. Usually I feel like pandan is difficult to get a real robust flavor and you end up tasting more coffee than pandan. I could actually taste the vanilla/nutty notes and coconut flavor. Also very yummy after mixing it all together. Cold brew flavor did end up coming out stronger tho but I somewhat expect that. We ordered the Adobo Rice Omelet ($14.95 - Chicken-adobo garlic rice wrapped in a three egg omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic & scallions) - This was really tasty and kind of heavy for me. Sooo much rice under the omelette bed lol. I was beyond stuffed and couldn't take another bite at the end and ended up packing like 2 bites in a small box. My bf ordered the Jeepney Breakfast Burrito ($14 - Crispy golden potatoes, melted cheese, chipotle aoli, scrambled eggs. Your choice of meat, served with a side of pork chicharron and Sinigang Salsa verde) - This was soo delicious. The chicharron side was a great crunch and sinigang salsa verde with the burrito made it even better. It was over the top for our bellies already with the heavy breakfast, but I still insisted that we try a regular breakfast item like french toast. Ordered the Ube Fruity Pebble French Toast ($16.95) and it was yummy! I definitely needed more fruity pebbles but that's my preference. Staff was friendly and prompt. The place was packed and I had joined the waitlist online prior to coming. Waited less than 10 min when we actually arrived. I also loved the decorations everywhere with the foliage, light fixtures and even the ceiling fans. The Tagalog vocab on the chalkboard is also fun to read and learn. I like that there's still a modern feel to the place.

Absolutely insane. We went in yesterday, and while the surprisingly short wait times to be seated…read moreand get our food weren't concerning at first, receiving our meals literally about three minutes after ordering definitely raised some questions. The food unfortunately tasted like it had been premade and sitting for a while. The eggs wrapped around the omelette were tough and chewy rather than fresh and fluffy. The French toast itself actually tasted good, but it was absolutely drenched in ube sauce--to the point that it basically turned into French mush. The loaded potatoes were probably the biggest disappointment. The bacon had been cooked to death and was so hard it was difficult to eat, while the tater tots somehow had the opposite problem and were completely mushy. This place has the potential to be a great restaurant, but the food quality was highly disappointing, especially considering how quickly everything came out. I will give credit where it's due, though: the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service couldn't make up for the quality of the food.
