The dips were great and probably my favorite part of the meal We also got lamb bites which were delicious and had generous portion sizes Downside was that we ordered the vegetable dipping plate but did not realize it was an additional cost. The vibe inside was nice and there is lots of seating however the back of the restaurant where we sat can get a little crammed.
Service was friendly. The appetizers were decent - tried the hummus with egg and it came with some hot sauces and pickles and pita - nice and fluffy. The Israeli chopped salad was nice but a bit salty. For the entree I tried the chicken schwarma and it was a huge portion but the chicken was dry and salty. I didn't want anymore after a few bites.
Love the food, the people that run this place no short cuts , everything was amazing. Highly recommend, come with family and make memories.

Absolutely loved the brunch special latke with duck, trumpet mushrooms and a sunny side egg, and the beets with labneh are exquisite as well. The hummus came with a huge platter of diverse vegetables to accommodate a gluten free diet. The interior is a tastefully designed mix of old and new, though seating is rather packed.
After our visit to the tenement museum I was looking for Middle Eastern food, and we found this place was nearby. At 4:30 we were the only customers. We just wanted a late lunch and the menu is pretty limited, but we found a Falafel sandwich that we loved and was big enough to share, but you have to be willing to cut the pita yourself and have it a little messy; there's also a spicy falafel burger, but we don't do spice very well so we thought we'd stick with this. And we're very satisfied!. They served a nice large carafe of water with mint and lemon which won me over. The place is cozy and the service is good and the staff is friendly.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC. It's a very tight but lively space - the portions are big and the flavors are amazing! The Yemen Duck tacos are some of the best appetizers I have ever had and the star of the schnitzel is actually the mashed potatoes that go with it. One of my favorite dishes however is the pappardelle limone and it's tempura poached egg - never had a crispy poached egg before but it was so thick and yummy. Can't wait to come back here. It's one of the best Mediterranean spots.
Oh my goodness, the food is INSANE. It was definitely my favorite spot I went to on my trip-- and I ate at a ton of great restaurants! The service was standard- staff were present and quick once you got their attention. The vibes of the restaurant is very chic and sultry (mood lighting, tasteful decor, etc) BUT the tables are so close together that you are practically eating with the people next to you. Also, the restaurant's music was too loud, so everyone had to practically yell to chat with their dinner guest to hear a thing. If they adjust the music and space tables a bit more appropriately, it would be an amazing spot!
Ambiance: (5/5) Loved the vibe. The music was good and the decor is great. Seats are a bit close but nothing different than other restaurants in NYC. Price: (4/5) Prices are average for the area. Everything about 19 Cleveland was remarkably great. From the food to the service to the ambience, this was a fantastic spot to visit for lunch, and I imagine that dinner would be just as great. Located in a fun part of Soho, I would recommend this spot to any local or tourist looking for a place to stop in the area!

One word - Hummus. I've been here twice and the only thing I've ordered was the hummus. I had an out of body experience the first time I had it. It was creamy, bold, fresh and the umami flavors were OUT OF THIS WORLD. I also appreciated it the generous serving of pasta and additional condiments/pickles provided. (Overall: B) - I enjoyed my experience at 19 Cleveland. They served elevated mediterranean food that is masterfully perfected in flavor and presentation. I will say that the food is on the expensive side, with only one skewer for $27, but aside from this, this restaurant hits all the right notes. Definitely interested in returning. Visited with a friend. I ordered the chicken kebab -- it was mostly a salad with one kebab with 4 pieces of big chicken. It was okay. I didn't think it was anything amazing. The vibes in the place are great though. I just wouldn't come here if I was hungry. read more

We had honestly just stumbled upon this place after just wandering and Mediterranean food sounded really good. Everything we had here was fantastic. We came here for a late lunch/brunch around 2:00pm and it was packed, playing amazing old pop and rock hits, it was loud but it 100% fit the vibe. The Smoked Eggplant Carpaccio was HEAVENLY. One of my favorite appetizers I've ever had. It was a mouthful of multiple experiences, smoky, fresh, citrusy, creamy. It had it all. Regarding the sides, the falafel trio was cooked amazing and had a really nice crispness to all of them and seasoned well. Both of our favorites were the 2 that were not spicy, the spicy one just didn't have a flavor profile I enjoyed too much. The fries were good and garlicky, not too many notes on these, pretty much just a really solid fry. The Labaneh Zaatar was fantastic, as most Labanehs are to me. It was creamy and thick, and the Zaatar was a good blend that paired well with it without being too overpowering. The pita that came with it was really fatty from the oil in the best way possible. It left a film on your fingers. The chicken schnitzel was pounded extremely thin so that every single bite was consistent and really crispy. It was salted well and adding the lemon juice made it even better. The Mashed potatoes and salad that came with it were also a nice pairing of fresh and decadent. Wonderful! 19 Cleveland was perfect for feeding our Israeli cravings. We had the hummus and I had the falafel burger and both were incredible. Having spent a lot of time in Israel this is really quality Israeli food and one person in our party who has lived in Israel for a few years now said that this was the closest to israeli hummus as shes had in the city. The falafel burger was great and hit the spot perfectly. The only thing keeping this from a five star review was the service which was definitely lacking a bit. Our server was honestly a little bit rude and cold, which didn't add to the experience. The ambience of the restaurant, however, is awesome and the perfect place for a date night or a dinner with friends before going out. It's cozy and low lit with an overall great ambience. I will definitely come back to 19 Cleveland soon and recommend anyone craving some good Israeli food do so. read more

We had such a fun night here! The food was delicious. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The service was excellent too: friendly, attentive, and never rushed. The highlight of the evening was the magician. He was incredibly talented, entertaining, and made the night feel special. It wasn't just dinner, it felt like a full experience. You will be enchanted the moment you walk into this contemporary Middle eastern restaurant. The vibe is disco meets dance party. It is lively with crazy cool art and decor. The staff is so attentive and patient in describing their diverse menu. I think what I liked best was the food was so healthy. Everything stands out on its own. We had some expresso martinis and wine as we decided as to what to get. We shared a bunch of starters. We had the mushroom cigars with dipping sauces that was so delicious. Spicy and satisfying. The Smokey eggplant with pistachios and pomegranate was off the charts. The beets with artichokes was so satisfying we couldn't stop eating. The hummus was the center of yum!!!! The halibut on a bed of greens was so delicious and the special duck breast was beautiful to look at as well as to eat. So much potential, but no happy ending! A group of us went to 19 Cleveland and we were so excited because we all love Israeli food. I give 19 Cleveland the following rating: Food - 5 Ambiance - 5 Service - 0 Here is the reason for the above rating. As you enter the restaurant you can't help notice the fantastic retro vibe; from the records on the wall to the "On Air" neon sign hanging over the bar, it is the quintessential NYC atmosphere that you want out of a restaurant. The food is not only appetizing, but is also visually stunning; here are the items that our table had: - Grilled Halloumi Cheese (this was a table favorite, the honey glaze is to die for!) - French Fries (The table needed two baskets - okay, I needed two baskets, so unreal I can't stop thinking about them) - Gnocchi Istanbul (I literally licked the plate clean! Everything from the spinach to the almonds were perfection). - Safta's Chicken Schnitzel (my friend said it was cooked to perfection and the mash potatoes were excellent) - 19 Hamburger (looked amazing and my friend ate every bite, so I would say that is a win!) - Greek Lamb Chops (A healthy portion of three, the tzatziki sauce was so delicious, I kept dipping my fries in) Everything was going so great, the table kept ordering cocktails and my friends and I were having a good catchup session... and then the service took a turn for the worst. 1. The second order of fries did not come until the very end of our meal (An excuse was made that "this is why you have to order everything at once") I am sorry, if can still eat I should be able to order a simple order of fries. 2. The server came over and put the bill down and said "the table is timed and you need to hurry up", we wanted to order another round of drinks, and we were never offered the dessert menu). The server hovered over our table and harassed us to ensure we left the restaurant. We spent over $300 dollars and did not ask for much during our visit, the least 19 Cleveland could do is provide good service and not make your guests feel like they are putting out the restaurant by being there. With so many places in NYC with equally as good food, you would think that you would try to stand out with great service. My friends and I will not be returning to this establishment as we will not put up with mediocre service that leaves an awful taste in your mouth. read more

My girlfriends and I came here for a dinner after hearing some wonderful reviews of the food. The inside is very cute/hip and the food certainly was good, but the music is SO LOUD. I was at a table with three and the other two I was with couldn't hear each other diaganolly from across the table. If you're with just one other person maybe it wouldn't be as bad, but I wasn't a fan as when I go out to dinner it's to be able to chat with those I'm with. However, if this isn't something that bothers you, this spot is worth a try! We did ask the waiter if they could turn down the music, but they said that they had to keep it at the loud volume - not sure why that is but appreciated them giving us the context! To that end, our service / the waitstaff were wonderful. read more

If I can give 10 stars I would!! My waiter was so pleasant. The food was delicious, everything was made fresh!!! The portions are filling. The drinks hit and the bartender look like a model . This place is amazing!!! I rarely go to a restaurant twice in NYC unless I really enjoy it and I couldn't wait to come back. Items I've tried and recommend: - duck tacos (a must have!) so juicy and flavorful - chicken schnitzel (probably one of the best schnitzel I've ever had, even the mashed potato that comes with it is to die for) - gnocchi so good - their falafel!!
