Unfortunately, tonight's experience was very different, and it will be our last visit. My husband and I went for dinner. He ordered breakfast, and I ordered the chopped sirloin steak with mushroom gravy. When my meal arrived, the steak was completely covered in gravy. Once I moved the gravy aside, the meat looked more like a hamburger than a steak. After cutting into it and tasting it, I found the texture extremely odd--like ground beef formed into a steak--and it had virtually no flavor. My husband tasted it as well and agreed. I told our waiter, who looked at it and agreed it appeared unusual. He spoke with the manager and came back telling me the only thing they could offer was a box to take it home. I explained that I didn't want to take home something I wasn't going to eat and asked that they take it back. After waiting about 10 minutes, the manager, Sherry, came to the table. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she explained that what I ordered was exactly what I received and proceeded to explain what a chopped steak was. I understand now that their chopped steak is essentially ground/chopped beef formed back together and served with gravy. However, that is not what I expected when ordering a "chopped sirloin steak," and I believe the menu should clearly explain how it is prepared. When I said I would not be eating or paying for the entrée, she responded, "But you will pay for the side salad and fries that you ate," and walked away before I could respond. I found her attitude extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The sides weren't impressive either. The salad was very wet and unappetizing, so I gave it to my husband, and the fries were roughly half a potato and tasted greasy. Yet I was charged $6.99 for the salad and $4.19 for the fries. I did speak with Hector afterward and explained what happened. He told me that the waiter, who was new, should have explained exactly what the chopped steak was before I ordered it. I appreciated his acknowledgment because that is exactly how this situation could have been avoided. I would have gladly ordered another entrée and paid for it if the situation had been handled differently. Instead, I was offered a box for a meal I didn't want and then treated poorly when I declined. It's unfortunate because we have enjoyed this diner in the past. But between the misleading description of the entrée and the way my concern was handled by management, we will not be returning.

The sauce was a Thai curry base and has veggies and was literally inhale-able. They were out of the pork (or it was off the menu) so he went with the beef. That looked so good, bowl was filled to brim with noodles, garnishes, and beef. It was perfect since he wasn't feeling well. My nephew decided halfway thru his salmon dish he wanted a side Caesar salad and Sang Jun brought one tha looked like it was made for the Internet. Well plated and giant portion. We were absolutely stuffed so we had no room for desserts, even though they looked so good in the cooler walking in. We had a nice discussion with SJ about our family trip to Korea last summer, telling him about some of the most embarrassing moments and getting a good laugh. Let me add some clarification that for most of this time I've watched the two waiters standing there chatting with a waitress, or one chat chatting with a couple guys at the bar, and I can count how many customers are in this restaurant right now on one hand. Starting out with cocktails, I know everyone was happy with what they were served. I certainly enjoyed my pint of Coffee Stout, and my wife was pleased with the lavender non-alcoholic cocktail they concocted for her. Because the servings being delivered to other tables appeared to be quite large, we decided to pass on appetizers, in spite of some of the apps sounding rather unique, e.g., Crispy Deviled Eggs, Open Faced Fried Pork Wantons, and Fried Carbonara. My wife was tossed between a Beet Salad with Scallops and the Pistachio Encrusted Chilean Sea Bass. At our server's recommendation she chose the Sea Bass. It was served with corn puree, confit potatoes (which my wife especially enjoyed), and roasted tomatoes. I'll get to enjoy the leftovers. I was trying to make up my mind between the Duck Pot Pie and the Chestnut Mushroom & Boursin Stuffed Tomahawk Pork Chop when our sever alerted us that there were only two servings left of the Pork Chop. I promptly claimed one of them! I am so glad I did. It was an amazingly delicious and well prepared dish. The pork had a slight pinkish color, just as I like it, the meat was so tender and flavorful, the stuffing had a crisped surface from the oven or salamander, everything was wrapped in tasty pancetta, the smashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, a white wine truffle sauce added another level of flavor, and even the carrot spears had the right level of firmness. I can affirm that my leftovers were equally enjoyable. We were not as lucky in having advance notice of the limited availability of a limoncello pie dessert, so my wife and I shared a slice of Banana Cookie Dough Pie. OMG! That was sooooo delicious. It was light, creamy, and not overly sweet. A real treat with the good coffee they serve. That pie along with something from their Lighter Menu, like a burger, would send you home in ecstasy without putting much of a dent in your wallet. Our bill for the party of four having one round of drinks, entrees, and desserts was about $250. Taking the whole dining experience into account, it was a very fair value. But wait! I have more to share with you. On Saturday nights live entertainment is provided by an excellent keyboard player adding to the inviting dinner experience and atmosphere.
