As they were looking over my car, they were looking for the best way to get the work done at the most affordable price without sacrificing quality. Seems my initial review got posted from an old/inactive Yelp account and has been taken down. This was my mistake, not Yelp's. I want to re-post, and make this right. I cannot remember verbatim my first review, but it was something along these lines: Very positive experience. Owner/Operator Aric (yes, that's the proper spelling) went out of his way and spent significant time making sure a small dent in my vehicle was corrected flawlessly. He even noticed a light scratch nearby (I did not know it was there) and went the extra mile to buff that out for me. There is absolutely no trace left of the dent or the scratch. All of this was covered by dent insurance. The next week I took my vehicle back for a bit of touch-up paint on another area of the car. No insurance for this one, but the job was done well, and for a very affordable price. The shop is clean and there is a modest, but comfortable, waiting area. The appointment process was very easy, and they were ready to work on my car when I arrived both times. Businesses such as this one are a real asset to our community. Waited until all the out-of-town hail damage repair tents folded up and then went looking for a local business to fix the 3/2016 hail damage to my Equinox. Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson, TX is on State Farm's preferred list, so I started there. Reliable sent me to their on-site facility called 1st Call Auto Appearance Services. A representative (James) walked up to Reliable's service bay and escorted me to 1st Call's building, just south of Reliable's show room. I was immediately met with friendly faces genuinely interested in providing me with a speedy estimate for the hail damage, but also to help me understand the logistics of dropping off, picking up, etc. Aric called out all the dings on the affected surfaces and James entered them into the estimating software. Estimate complete in about 15 minutes. I was surprised to learn that they could take my car in as early as a week later and that the time to fix would only be about 4 or 5 days after the insurance adjuster made a stop by to approve the work and the estimate. These gentlemen made me feel very comfortable with giving them my business - and so I did. Dropped my car off on a Monday and picked up a rental at Enterprise, just south of 1st Call and Reliable. Aric gave me a ride to pick up my rental. A week later, my car was ready. I was very impressed with the quality of the work performed. No signs of hail dings any more. Reliable had taken the car back and cleaned and washed it all up. All the money dealings were through Reliable Chevrolet's cashier. In the middle of the week, I called a few times to check on status and talked to George - who was more than willing to give me all the details and even to send a few photos of my car in the middle of the process. Easy peasy and very impressive! I highly recommend these folks. They are trustworthy, down-to-earth people who will help you through getting your car put back to normal. They will work with the insurance company for you and make sure you are content with their work before you leave. Arec is cool. I brought my classic convertible in to appraise hail damage. He told me he could use PDR on spots that others said the whole panel needed to be replaced. I saved enough money to put in new headlights, which cost big and also recover seats with new leathers. Arec shotgunned the whole project and we finished by having a full blown detail of the car. Short version: Call 1st Call. My husband's 2006 had dings, dents, scratches and other body and paint abuses. My grandchildren fizzed a drink on the extended cab ceiling liner. The smell told a story of other child and vacation things grounded firmly into the carpet. Did I mention the dangling door control or magic marker artwork? To say the truck was in a very sad way and definitely not the truck it used to be would be very true. What it was is in the past now - right? I asked Eric to see what he could do with the body/paint and I knew he would do as good as possible with the interior. When I saw the truck again I could only stare. Eric's hardwork made it look brand new. It was shiney and near flawless. None of the old stood out anymore. The beige interior not only smelled great but everything received a deep cleaning resulting in an unmarked ceiling liner, muchly faded marker (black) tracks on the lighter tan dashboard and a lovely, well cleaned interior. Eric exceeded any of my hopes of recovery for the truck to surprise my husband on our 38th anniversary! The job he did still makes me teary because it made something that more special for my husband.
