We have a 2-car and a 1-garage home and called for maintenance on the double garage door and to better align some of the linkage. We spoke with Patrick and our tech, Anthony, came out to examine what was needed. He patiently listened to our concerns and then assessed what needed to be done. On the double door, the support arm appeared to be misaligned and he fixed it. We were impressed with how precise he was (used a level, ensured that parts matched, and carefully measured everything). On the single-car garage door, Anthony noticed that the top of the door needed reinforcement and installed a heavy-gauge steel channel to prevent any future door issues. 1st Call Garage Doors was fast in giving us a quote Thursday night and scheduling an appointment on Friday at a convenient time. Their quote for double springs with a 5 year warranty was competitive and Anthony (with a 30 min advance phone call) came and spent about 1.5 hours on a Friday in the heat working on the garage door. He provided me with a lot of helpful info to know about garage doors that I intend to use. Anthony also noticed one of the cords was fraying, and so I paid extra to replace the cords on both sides. He noted he adjusted things so the fraying (caused by the garage door rubbing the cord) would not continue. That night, I noticed the cord was being clipped again by the garage. I watched it for 2 more days to verify this was continuing and reached out to Monday morning to see if someone could come back out to check on the cords. I was offered Tuesday but requested Wednesday due to my schedule and Patrick arrived with a 30 min advance phone call. Patrick was here for about 45 minutes, and he adjusted the mounting of part of the frame of the door so that the cord would not rub. This should solve it. I appreciated his coming out, relaying additional helpful information, and giving me some pointers to look out for based on our specific garage door. These guys are younger on average, but I trust the work of the company, based on how quickly they come out and their attention and diligence to their craft. I'm very satisfied right now- and if I have an issue with the work in coming weeks or years, I feel confident they will work to make it right. It's right there in the name... call them first! They are professional, on time, super friendly, and didn't try to push anything on us. They came when they said and came ahead to give a 30 minute heads up they were on the way. Anthony came and did the inspection. Both of my springs snapped and cracked the garage door, and bent the support truss. The quote was very reasonable but since my door was old they were unable to replace one panel so I opted to replace the entire door. Mind you, they did not try to push this on me, this was my choice. Anthony and Patrick came out to do the install and competed it so quickly. They were here on time, were extremely clean and professional while they were here. I'm so happy that's what I decided to do because it included everything, new door, springs, rollers etc. They did check my motor but that was in good shape. I had called out to numerous companies hoping to just replace the damaged door.
