This is my second experience with Toni's garage doors and I can tell you I was not disappointed. From my initial contact when I made my appointment the company reps were professional. As most home owners I am very capable of doing minor repairs around the home. However a word of caution if you plan on working on your garage door. The spring mechanism can be very dangerous and if you have issues related to that you must hire a professional to avoid injury. Anthony was the representative who came to my home to do the repairs. He was on time and upon arrival listened to my concerns and proceeded to present solutions to my problems. After a thorough inspection he took the time to explain all facets of the repair in laymen's terms. The work and product were exceptional. I had my 16-foot garage door serviced on March 31, 2023. I specifically requested that the door be balanced and the springs replaced. The work included two springs, bearing plates, and bearings, and the total was nearly $450. Just over three years later, after only a few thousand cycles at most, the door is wildly out of balance again. With the opener disconnected, I used an equipment scale and measured approximately 35 pounds of lifting force at the bottom of travel and 21 pounds at the halfway point. The door is now as badly balanced as it was before the repair, possibly worse. I knew at the time that nearly $450 was not a bargain, but I was already in the middle of epoxying my garage and wanted the job completed. I would have let the experience go had the repair held up. Instead, I am now dealing with the same problem again after what I consider a very short service life for replacement springs. What finally set me off and sent me to Yelp was my girlfriend's abused garage door. She uses it far more often than I use mine, has never had the springs serviced, and yet it is perfectly balanced. After finding my receipt, I also saw that the warranty was only one year on both parts and labor. In hindsight, I should have treated that as a red flag. A spring and balance repair at this price should last substantially longer than this under ordinary residential use. I am extremely disappointed by both the value and the apparent quality of the work. I regret paying a premium price for a repair that did not provide a durable result. I am leaving a two-star review because the technician was personable and pleasant, even though the work did not hold up. read more

I sent a yelp message to Tonis garage door (and 4 other vendors). They replied within a few minutes on a Saturday night with what turned out to be the most reasonable quote. The technician was at our home the next morning at 11AM within the 9-12 appointment time. We had a broken garage door spring and he took the time to walk through the 4 different springs he had on his truck ranging from 1 year warranty 5 year to 10 year to lifetime warranty. I appreciated his knowledge and the options presented to us. I chose the least expensive 1 Yr. and technician did not argue, just got to work installing. read more

UPDATE: So within the 6 months since I had Toni's Garage Doors replace my springs, I've called them twice for help. Once was because the sensor wasn't working. The gentleman walked me through over the phone on how to adjust it and it worked perfectly. The second time I called, a technician came out to take a look at my garage opener. He gave me his opinion and suggested some options for me to think about. Both times, they didn't charge me. I'm very appreciative of that. I ran into the garage door like a dumb dumb. Called them and they were able to send someone in 30 minutes. Anthony told me what he could try to do but couldn't guarantee it would work for long. He explained in detail the issues. I asked for different quotes if we had to replace the doors. He was knowledgeable, polite, and completely professional. I asked for a bunch of different quote options and he was very patient and said no problem. I was already feeling rotten for running into the doors myself and he was super nice and said things just happen and not to feel bad. He got it to work manually and made adjustments for it to lock manually but it was too bent to use the motor as the wheel kept popping out of the tracks. I will definitely be using them to replace the doors as the quote was reasonable but this review needed to be written now. I had programmed a couple of remotes and the next day my door opened twice without me doing it. After the 2nd time, I contacted Toni's around 12:30 in the afternoon. Luckily, since I was heading out of town the next morning, they were able to schedule me at 3PM. Zion arrived and his personality was like we were long time friends. He explained what probably happened was a neighbor activated their garage door as I was programming my remotes and theirs grabbed me code too. So when they hit their remote it opened mine. In talking to him it was decided that at 20 years, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to replace me. He explained the features of the three units he had and I went with the middle one. He said that was a good choice for my needs once I decided. I also had him replace the rollers and the spring. At no time did he try to upsell or pressure me into buying anything. He did recommend the rollers but the spring I brought up and in talking with him, I felt since he was here now was the time. He went over with me on using the app and made sure everything was fine before he cleaned up and left. First, when I first called their main office there is always someone to answer the phone and to help book any estimates and appointments. When I first made an appointment for an estimate the technician was on time and was able to give me a quote. The job was for a new customer provided garage door opener to be installed. The spring in my garage broke. I went on Yelp and asked for quotes. The owners of Toni's Garage Doors replied quickly and with the best price. This is a new company but their installer, Doug has been doing garage doors for 30 years. I watched him work and he is a magician. Not only that, Doug is a straight shooter. He is honest and didn't pressure me into any decisions. At the end of the day he replaced both springs, berrings, and those wheel things that go on the side tracks. My garage door is so quiet now and the total price was far less than the competitors. The garage door opener unit I have in my garage pretty much gave out. It still works, but it the garage door opener itself was ancient. It was the same one that installed when the house was built. I had the guys of Toni's garage update the rollers as well. By the time they were done with my garage doors, it was so quiet like it's never been. It was late in the afternoon, and I had just sent away a heavy advertiser ("A-1") who was not willing to do the simple job (spring replacement) for a typical rate ($300). Nor, for that matter to give me a counteroffer. Partly chance, no doubt, that the Tonis technician had just finished a job on my side of town, and was able to arrive at my house within less than 30 minutes after I first posted the Yelp request. One can't count on that happening very often. But I think I could count on Tonis to do the job for the amount guesstimated over the phone. And to do it right.
