UPDATE: Today is 10/31/24. I purchased my vehicle on 8/23/24. And although it was As Is...the issues I've had in the last 2 months are unacceptable. And the response I've gotten from the dealership was to place blame on the customer and not accept responsibility. By Sept 28th I had to replace front brakes, calibers, a tire and get a 4 wheel alignment. I reached out and they only asked me to bring it to them which I was unable to drive so I got it fixed locally. I was told then that the person checking it may not be correct in their findings. I have attaches pictures of the worn brakes, caliber and tire that had to be replaced. Now on Oct 31st I'm having to have the truck towed due to the front driver side bearings and hub needing to be replaced. Again no responsibility was accepted from the dealership. I feel that the inspection that was done in July 2024 was inaccurate and was told that that was not the case because the top mechanic did it and Mr. Griffin not willing to accept the fact that something could've been overlooked. I was also asked what my concerns were and as I tried to explain them, I was over talked and then when I in turn overtalked to that person, it was told to that me raising my voice did not make me right. As an adult I will say I did get upset with my wording and the final resolution was me being hung up on so my issues still have not been corrected and I'm having to come out of pocket again. Not sure what to say really. Bought a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban in December/2024. Told the sales people that I was just looking and I thought it was out of my budget. Had $4,000 cash down on a $15,900 vehicle. It was an "as-is" purchase. With that in mind, it came with an oil change and a "State Inspection" sticker. Told them my budget was around $250 a month. (I'm paying $330.00). I'm an auto technician and noticed that the front tires were wearing funny, but it seemed to run fine, the bells and whistles worked. They wanted me in that vehicle. I just need a good reliable vehicle to visit my family (8 hour round trip). Check engine came on the first week, EVAP code. I replaced the recommended part myself and that didn't solve the problem. Oil pressure sensor went out the following week. Meanwhile the transmission was acting funny. It had about 168,000 miles on it when I bought it and has about 178,000 since it's been sitting in a shop about 5 weeks (3 more to go). Anyway, I had showed 1st Choice my monthly income and it was obvious that no one would be a lender, but Eddie Griffen decided to use $4,000 a month as a number (my business might make that, but I don't). So they got me in the truck. [I'm going to stop here to advise anyone buying a vehicle to take it to a mechanic that you trust. They are tough to find if you don't know one, but you better find one BEFORE BUYING!] So in my mind, I'm thinking, hey it's the Mabry Auto Group, they must have did a 10, 20, 50 point inspection on this vehicle. Nope. Just a "State Inspection and an oil change". About 4 months after my "AS-IS" purchase. The transmission is basically toast and starting to affect the motor and whatever else. I sent a picture of the transmission fluid to my salesperson Jesse. He sends me a picture of the "As- Is" purchase that I signed along with the fact that I am paying for "Superior Protection Plan". Sounds great right? But they will not cover anything without prior services being performed and receipts. You get what I'm saying? 1st Choice doesn't have that. I don't have that. I have documentation of the 2 oil changes I have done, the new air filter installed, the alignment and two new front tires installed. I have been working with a local certified auto shop that deals with "car insurance plans", think ICE-T and car shield. They tell me these protection plans are a joke and basically a scam. Again, as an auto technician, I decided to check the transmission fluid and to my surprise, it was BLACK! Like oil, but with a gallon of water added. Watery. It's a Chevy, it's suppose to be ruby red or have some kind of red. Now this warranty that I have been paying won't cover it, because of no maintenance documentation. So I spend 4 hours, $125 to siphon out 8 quarts of transmission fluid and adding new in. Why? Because this dealer never checked the fluid. So that I could get Superior Protection to cover this. Out of a truck for over two months, making payments, and getting zero assistance from Mabry Auto Group. I would say how disappointed that I am, but I will say that I am blessed. Just to try to conclude this review: My advice is to double and triple check the vehicle you are about to buy. Crawl underneath. Get a CARFAX, whatever. Dig deep. You're making an investment and expect certain loyality. Not just from these folks, but from anyone. Bring trusted people with you. Let them look over "the fine print". Take it to a trusted friend or mechanic. An AS-IS purchase is just that, even with a protection plan. A salesperson is there to sell cars, they are going to tell you that the vehicle is YOU! The greatest thing since sliced bread. Don't trust any of them. I did and I regret that move. Karma has its consequences. I'm good one my end. I let the Lord fight my battles and lead me. Just FYI. I have two attorneys that are assisting me with how all this went down, fabrication of income, the safety issues, etc. I'm just 100% disappointed by this company, salespeople, and the fact that they didn't check the basics before selling a vehicle. I can't tell ya how many people have asked me where i bought my truck from and they have all laughed and/or shook their heads. I was shocked and even more disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were too much for Mabry Auto Group. read more

My salesman was Gary Coleman. He was professional and not pushy which I appreciated. The only thing I am a little upset about is the keyfob - there were 2, but one does not work which means I have to return for the repair and the other one you cannot read. I felt like Gary kept this from me the 2x that I drove the vehicle, but I was fairly happy - I would have liked to negotiate, but he was hard and fast even though I paid cash! This dealership is the best. I have avoided dealerships because the salesman are relentless and follow you around creating pressure. This company did not push or try to up sale me on anything. Ricky gave me the facts and was knowledgable about the inventory on the lot. He was personable and confident about what the dealership had to offer. The business/financial officer gave me all of the options for warranty packages and explained how each would benefit me, but he wasn't pushy. He let me decide! He provided a free copy of Catfax and dI'd not try to hide anything that may be wrong. (There was nothing wrong). wife and i had been shopping for a car for her, trading in her 2012 Kia Soul for something newer, she relies on her car heavily in her job and though the Soul has never given us an ounce of trouble it was getting a bit long in the tooth so we decided it was time. long story short we had looed at several cars on line and visited a couple dealerships , on our way home we stopped in to 1st choice and looked at a car we saw driving by , a 2022 Soul, we decided to buy it, so we do the paperwork and since it was a weekend they made it possible for us to drive her old car home until we could get the insurance done on the new one, which was nice, the last time i bought a car the dealer told me just be careful getting home. next day we had a huge scare thinking my wife had lost her job, we didn't know what to do, the staff at 1st choice went out of their way finding ways to work with us (we were scared we were stuck we had signed the deal) while they were looking at ways to restructure, one of their staff actually gave my wife a lead on a job in her field through a friend that had been a past customer. that alone was enough to tell me they cared, anyway wife didn't lose the job, we ended up doing the deal as we originally intended,he had been working on ways to help us just in case but since her job was secure we didn't even broach the things he had worked up (wouldn't have been fair to him)we have a great car with that Million Mile warranty, and we have a bunch of new friends in the process. scale from 1 to 10 i give them a 20. @Yelp, you dont offer enough stars! read more
