WORST DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Purchased a vehicle from this dealership and with in a year had to replace the motor. The company refused to take any responsibility and I had to come out of pocket for the full expense. After the motor was replaced, with in a week the vehicle check engine lights came on. I took the vehicle and they suggested replacing the MAF SENSOR, did not fix issue more money spent! The light came back on when I went to pick the vehicle up. They then determined it was the throttle body, did not fix issue more money spent. A week later the vehicle wouldn't start again. I had to tow the vehicle a second time back to the dealership out of pocket. They stated it was the starter now. Replaced the starter and the vehicle was driven home. The next week the vehicle wouldn't start again start again. They refused to cover the tow to their shop and expected me to cover a third tow. I refused and they advise me to go somewhere else!!! So I called them about a Saturn, a 1998 Saturn! Long story but it was for someone else who really wanted replacement for their broken Saturn! So I told him to call me back with a price.... I am a long time mechanic, formerly a Master ASE Technician and Master Driveability Tech and try to help folks with their cars and problems. While waiting I googled the Vin and they claimed it had 64, 000 miles roughly which was very low! I got all kind of flags on the car suggesting the mileage was over 120,000 miles and it had been wrecked!! The salesman breathlessly called me back and told me they already had it going to a "wholesaler" BUT I could buy it out from them for only $5,999.00!!! I was totally ripped off at this dealership 3 years ago when I purchased a used car here. My sales person, Devon, appeared to be very helpful at the time but now I know it was all about selling a shitty faulty car. The car I purchased did not pass an emissions test in PA just a month after I got it and needed a catalytic converter replacement. The dealership did not offer to work with me on repairs. Emissions test is not needed at Lynchburg which is why I think they were trying to sell the car there. They sold me a shitty extended warranty saying "it'll help me" but after calling this extended warranty company multiple times I realized it was a scam. I was fresh out of college and didn't know better but please do your research before settling on a dealership. I've learned a tough lesson but at least I know never to get ripped off again lol. We were traveling through Lynchburg last week and heard a knocking sound on our Nissan Murano. We called the service dept. at this Nissan dealership, and they wanted $138 just to look at the car. They would not let us know their schedule unless we gave them info to put in their computer 1st. The receptionist would not let us talk to anyone in the service dept. We then went to the Meineke Car Care Center in Forest, and they noticed a tire had not been secured after another company had done a tire rotation. Meineke fixed it, made sure there was no damage, and didn't charge us at all! Such a contrast from the Nissan service dept., which seemed like it was trying to NOT get any business! read more

I received a new 2022 Nissan Altima as a work vehicle. I started having issues with the back speaker and the remote start/key fobs almost immediately. I took the vehicle to Lynchburg Nissan and they replaced the back speaker. While doing so they left huge grease marks all over the headliner and the area above the door. I took the vehicle back to voice my concerns and I was introduced to Kevin Sheffield which is apparently the head of Service for all locations. Kevin seemed like he didn't want to be bothered with such a menial problem. I asked him to come look at it and he said "We will take care of it." He barely made eye contact with me, he never stopped walking, he glanced in the car after several requests to look at it, no apology, no compassion, absolutely no concern what so ever. The only words spoken was "We will take care of it" and he left. Nissan has since cleaned it. It's not perfect but it is a lot better than the way they left it after replacing the speaker. This Customer Service experience was horrible! I would not recommend this dealership. I hope that Mr. Sheffield is not responsible for training his employees in Customer Service. read more

So Far I am very pleased with my 2021 Nissan Sentra. However I had to replace a tire the other day. They did not have the tire in stock so they ordered it and said it would arrive in 2 days. I was also told that it was going to be $151 and I asked if that included EVERYTHING? I was told it did. On the day the tire arrived I showed up at the "Express" service bay at 4:15 and did not leave there until after 6:00. Roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes to put my tire on. There were 2 cars ahead of me and both cars were getting state inspections. When I finally got the bill the cost had jumped to $164. The thing that really made me angry was when I got home and looked at the bill I saw that I was being charged for "Shop Supplies". This reeks of trying to suck every last penny out of the customer. In a word GREED! The only business I know of that does this are car dealerships! NOBODY else charges for supplies. Is Nissan in such a financial state that they can not afford to supply their workers with the supplies they need to do their jobs?? This happened to me before at a Toyota dealership and as a result I never bought another Toyota and from then on I took my car service to other repair services who did not feel the need to gouge their customers. read more

I took my 2011 Nissan Titan to the dealership in hopes of getting an honest estimate on how much it would cost to repair the evaporation line on the fuel tank. The line is about 12 inches long and made out of plastic. It has a quick connect one end and the other is heat wrapped to a nipple at the fuel tank. To my surprise, the service adviser told me the repair would be $1600 because the entire fuel tank had to be repaired. I told her she was crazy. I called the regional customer service rep in Tennessee and explained my concern. Her response, "The service department has the legal right to charge any fee for the repair." I spoke with the service manager at Lynchburg Nissan and he stuck to the story of replacing the entire fuel tank. He said, "Nissan requires them to replace the fuel tank to resolve this problem." I asked him to please send the requirement from Nissan via email. Have not received a response. I reached out to the dealership manager, left my phone number, no response from him either. I got my truck repaired and the parts to fix it were less than $20.00. The repair is actually better than the original equipment. I have no confidence in the service department at Lynchburg Nissan and will never take my vehicle back to them. Sadly, the service adviser claimed they had performed this repair (replacing the fuel tank) for another customer a few months prior. That is a travesty. Owners be weary! I've worked with Mark Travis for my purchase of not just my first but now second car and he is always fantastic. I also have worked with Caren Reedy and she is great! What keeps me coming back is their courtesy and genuine honesty. If you come in with a budget in mind and specific car, they WILL find a way to make it work for you. I bought a Sentra from here in June of last year. The car had 56,000 miles on it and was a 2013. Here I am a year later spending $4,000 to replace the transmission at 77,000 miles. I've done regular maintenance and always taken care of my vehicles. I took my car to mechanic who informed me that the majority of transmissions he has replaced have been CVT transmissions in Nissans. Turns out CVT transmissions are in every one of the eco friendly cars and trucks. I've also had to have my computer reset 3 times and had to replace my gear shift due to faults in the car. This car has been more of a headache than a blessing. First chance I get I am trading it in for a Chevy Cruze. Nissan is officially off my list. When all of these issues were happening, I called this dealership to speak with management about the issues I was having, and my salesperson Sheldon hung up on me as soon as I asked to speak with management. Customer service is lacking as a priority for him. I had to message the owners daughter in order to get a call back from the manager . It's amazing that they think burying their head in the sand will fix their problem. Needless to say, I'm an extra $4,000 in the hole because of the issues I have with the Nissan Sentra. The only reason it's not getting a 1 star rating is because the maintenance supervisor Rodney was always responsive and when the manager finally called me back he was courteous. read more

Terrible place. Avoid at all costs. They tried to add in extras without telling you, and urge you to sign without reading. They don't honor service agreements, so that's a waste of money. It takes them 3 hours to change oil, regardless if there are no other customers. Then when they do change the oil, you can bet they spilled half the oil down the side of the engine and then left the oil level low AGAIN!!!. They also make false quotes on work that doesn't need to be done. I'm a mechanic at Pinkerton Chevrolet but since we paid for the service agreement my wife just takes it to Lynchburg Nissan. They're so full of shit it's not even funny. They will take every opportunity they get to get over on the customer. Shitty business model. It's too bad Nissan let these fucking hacks buy into their brand. This is my 2nd review of this shitty place. read more

I bought a used car from them a few months ago. I informed them of my budget, no exceptions, yet they continued to waste my entire day trying to get me to buy more expensive vehicles. A few days later, they finally worked with my budget, after implying that I would look at other dealerships. When I purchased the vehicle, there were a few aesthetic flaws that they agreed to fix. It took three weeks for them to finally fix those flaws. Knowing full well that I have a full-time job, they made me drive my car to and from the dealership, only to inform me that their "guy" was not in that day to fix the issues...this happened three different times. When they gave me a used car to borrow while they "fixed" the flaws, the salesman actually called me in the middle of my work day telling me that someone was interested in the borrowed car and told me to bring it to the dealership so they can switch cars with me. They had no respect for my time nor the gas expense from them having me constantly drive back and forth to their dealership. The salesman I dealt with from the beginning ended up being rude to me (via the text), probably because I was getting sick of it and demanded to speak to the manager.
