Lots o' options!

This place is pretty cool...it's in the old Taylor high school in an old classroom...not kidding. We drove up and were like...is this a school?? It...was. Now it is a bunch of shops, a bar, a bakery, a salon, and more! They have a really good beer selection and the staff was really nice. You can take your beer outside and sit down at some picnic tables. They also had live music with a guy playing guitar who was pretty good. Very cool idea to use that building for something besides letting it dilapidate.

Super cool spot with great beer selection thats in the old Taylor high school. They have wine and its kid and dog friendly (outside) and they do flights of 4 for $10. Friendly staff and also a window to order outside. I'd say they have about 50 beers on tap and also usually have a food truck in evening.

This place is certainly pretty great and a hidden gem in Taylor, Texas. We were visiting a friend who just moved to Taylor and we found this spot. It's located in an old high school so it's not the easiest to spot. The bartender was exceptionally friendly and helpful. There are about 45 beers on tap. They also have wine and sooner non-alcoholic beverages. We started with two flights of four different beers. All the beers were very smooth and full of flavor. After two flights, I got a pint of one of the beers that I enjoyed the most. Regardless of the type of beer drinker you are, there's a brew for you. They had a band playing and a food truck in the parking lot as a nice touch. They also allow you to get a sealed double pint to go. That's my only small complaint. The "to-go" double pint was much more expensive. I wanted to get two but only got one since it would have been $52. Yikes. I'm still very pleased with my experience and if you live or visit Taylor you should definitely go to The Loose Screw!

What a wonderful location with excellent service! The beer was very good with over 45 choices! Didn't make it out to the food trucks as it was raining. Our friends said that they are very good as well! Will definitely recommend to family and friends!

I visited this on an impulse, so happy I did. The school is pretty open and you can drink and roam around. They have some pretty dope slides (old fire escapes) around the school grounds and no one to stop you from playing on them. There's plenty of seating inside and outside with a window to get your drinks. Overall fun experience.

This is a super fun little bar located in the old Taylor High School. There are lots of unique brews (the blueberry mead and wildfire mead were amazing), live music and board games. Overall just a fun place to hang out! Definitely recommend!

We went yesterday afternoon and its a really nice property with tons of space. They have a cool stage area, a playground, several tables near the bar with view of the tv and some open inside space next to cornhole. I want to say they had about 8 of other breweries beers on tap (real ale bock and Pinthouse Scorpion Disco are the two I remember) and then they also had cocktails and 2 of their own beers: an amber, and then what I got: the tangerine cream ale. I thought it was pretty good which was surprising as usually, new breweries take a bit to get things figured out. It would be a solid beer for a warm day. The bartender was friendly and they also had a bbq truck on site that smelled delicious but we didn't have time to check-out this time. The only negative I'd say is there is zero inside space with A/C, its all open air. That's not a dealbreaker for me but as its only going to get even hotter, I'm curious how it will impact their business.

I sat with some co-workers at the bar area and tried some of the Brussels sprouts while sipping on their blonde and their Italian pilsner. They have definitely stepped it up on all fronts since the last time. I went when they were still getting things together, but now, with their head on their shoulders and a full beer distribution license, they actually have a lot of good things going for them. It is also cool that they have live music on Friday nights, but I am not going to lie, it is kind of blasting in there. I am glad they are still successful, as there was a wait to get in as we were leaving. In addition, the dining room, the bar, and the patio were all packed by 6:30 pm. Happy hour is nice because $5 pours of their beers is an excellent deal, and I will definitely be coming back for just a drink or two in the future without the need to order food. Their bar has it on lock. RIYL: Brews in Hutto.

I really wanted to love this spot, but the food has been consistently disappointing. The burgers taste like they're cooked offsite and reheated, the chicken was rubbery and completely flavorless, and the cheese curds were overcooked and not enjoyable at all. Even the beer cheese tasted old. Great concept for families, but the food and service issues make it hard to come back.

The ambiance is marvelous! They have steins everywhere and the decor is pretty neat! I would love to come here during an evening to see how different it is! They had 2 staff working on a Saturday afternoon which is understandable! After a twenty minute wait we were seated and the server came and took our order. He was very nice and helped us order since we couldn't pronounce much on the menu. We got a decent amount of food for 4 of us! I got the Brie with cranberry sauce it was a 4 out of 5. I did not know it would be fried which is why I took one point away. My friends got the potato salad and it was delish! It came warm and was very flavorful! They also got a pitcher of Ratler beer which tasted just like juice! It was delish! My friends got the soup and the Reuben. All were pretty tasty! My husband ordered the Bretzel which was delicious. Then we got two slices of cake. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE BEE STING CAKE! It was divine and I plan on buying a whole one for my birthday! It has almonds, honey, Bavarian sweet cream and Bavarian sweet bread it is phenomenal! I cannot recommend it enough! Each slice was $7 but so well worth it!

Dropped in to kill some time and grab a bite to eat... and left super impressed yet again! The vibe here is perfectly laid-back....chill atmosphere, no pretension, just a spot to relax with great drinks and food. Shoutout to the beer master Eric behind the bar! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he pours. He shared this awesome line that stuck with me: "Every good beer has a story, and the story should be told!" Made the whole experience feel more personal. I went with tap #13, Juicy Fish--a hazy IPA from WeldWerks Brewing Co. at 8.6% ABV. Wow, what a juicy, flavorful beast! Packed with tropical hops, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink for that ABV. Definitely hit the spot. For food, I had 5 wings tossed in the Blazin Ghost Pepper sauce. It's described as a smoky blend with mild ghost pepper heat, and it delivered exactly that....great smokiness upfront, building warmth without incinerating your mouth (perfect if you like heat but not torture level). Wings were crispy, juicy, and tender too. Rounded it out with the Carnivore pizza, loaded with meats and just the right amount of char on the crust. Hand stretched and fresh, it paired really well with the beer. If you're in the Pflugerville area and love craft beer (especially with knowledgeable staff who actually talk about it), wings, or pizza, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back again and again to catch more of the rotating taps and hear more stories from Eric! Get em while you can. They are Beer today gone tomorrow.
