I contacted about five shops, both near and farther from home, and received various offers. The main reasons I chose WTC Wraps were the high-quality film they use (Stek Dynoshield) and their impressive record of over one hundred perfect 5-star reviews. Sometimes you just know you're making the right decision after speaking with the people behind the business -- and that was exactly my experience with Rob, the owner of WTC. Communication with him was seamless, both in writing and in person when I visited the shop. Rob was kind, patient, knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. He took the time to explain how PPF works and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He also offered a very fair and generous price for the scope of the project, which I truly appreciated. Before leaving my car, Rob walked me through the installation area, showed me examples, and explained that small water bubbles are completely normal and will disappear after the PPF fully cures in a few weeks. He even scheduled a follow-up inspection after one month to make sure everything settles perfectly. When they called to give me the service window they didn't identify themselves. The caller said, "This is XXXX, I'll be there between 10 and 12". I said, "who?". He responded, "From the glass place". I'm like, "What glass place?" Finally, he said he was coming to replace my windshield but still never identified the company he worked for. 2. I went outside and asked the installer if I could get him anything. He responded, "Yeah, a new job" and went on to complain that my truck was too tall. I offered him a choice of ladders and he said "No, I will stand on my toolbox if I have to". 3. When I heard him packing up I went back outside only to have him complain about what a "Pain in the ass" the job was, and how they lost money on the job because it took him two hours plus 30 minutes to get to my house. 4. As I stood there listening him to go on and on about how much they lost on the job I noticed that the front windshield, of the windshield replacement truck, was spider-webbed with cracks. Really? Phone call after phone call, message after message, with no answer or reply. The message on his phone is no longer Sunrays. It has some woman and only her name on the message. Now I can't get him to honor the lifetime warranty and replace the tint that was done so poorly. I don't know what happened, but Sunrays has gone to s**t. It's like he doesn't care. I called around to check prices with a few local shops, by the quotes were all a bit high. I checked Yelp reviews and I was going to skip over Safelite, but I figured at least I could get a quote. The quote was at least $100 less than the next lowest price. On top of that, I found coupons online for $80 off, which worked. The company does charge an extra $40 recycling fee for the old glass and tax. I went all the way and booked an appointment for a few days out. I received text and email confirmations. The tech called to let me know when he was on the way to my location. He arrived within the appointment time and he performed all of the work to replace a cracked windshield within about an hour and a half, which included rust touchup. The windshield came with a new rubber boarder, which I am grateful, since the old one was worn and frayed. Chris, the tech, was polite, knowledgeable, and skilled. He did everything right! Cleaned up, tightened up everything, checked his work, and cleaned up everything! The service was performed at my location, not in the shop. There are very few companies that go through the great level of service as this fella did. My windshield is shiny and new. I am very pleased! They guarantee everything.
