Overall, our year stay at 2000 Post was horrible. We had issues throughout the year which we spoke to building management about several times, and none of these issues were ever resolved. The amount that we had to pay per month for what we put up with is ridiculous. The only good thing about this terrible place was Chris the maintenance guy. To start, our move out process was horrible. When we had our move out inspection, they told us we would be charged huge amounts of money to have our place cleaned. This is ridiculous. Throughout our stay there have been construction workers in and out, dust throughout the halls and air, etc which directly affected the cleanliness of our apartment. We have kept it clean to the best we could with normal wear and tear and should absolutely not be charged this amount, especially when much of the dust and dirt is from construction. At one point during our time here, there were issues with the sewage in our building, resulting in both our sink and toilet exploding with sewage water all over our bathroom and into our kitchen. While they did clean it up, at no point was our unit steam cleaned or professionally cleaned. Why should I have to pay over $300 when this standard was not even provided for me when I lived there? Besides that, there have been broken elevators, mice,etc. One of the worst was at one point there were squatters in an apartment cooking drugs!!!!!!!! This has been by far the worst place I have ever lived. If I were you, I would avoid at all costs! read more

Absolutely over-priced. Gunther the person who showed us the apt was patronizing to a fault. Unfortunately for him we have lived in the city and we know what we can get in $4500. I can't believe he would try to sell us a place for that much given that it was going to be covered in scaffolding and still have a freaking attitude about it! He was insufferable, rude and condescending- everything you should not be if you're in sales. Do not stay at these apts; there is much more out there to choose from. read more

Move here for college dorm life! It's like college here! I have called building patrol over three dozen times complaining about the neighbor's music thumping through my wall. I asked them nicely multiple times before resorting to calling patrol and then contacting building management. They said they spoke to my crap neighbors multiple times but literally nothing changed. I wonder what they could have POSSIBLY said! I even decided to break my lease and move out because of the poor management. $3700 for a 625 sq ft apartment and THAT is what I have to deal with? No thanks. The only reason we moved into this place was because we have 2 pets and no one in SF allows them. If you have pets, be prepared to pay a pet deposit ON TOP OF the extra monthly fees. This place is a complete and utter rip off. STAY AWAY. read more

I don't usually go out my way to write a long review. I am low maintenance and can live any where as long as I have a comfy couch and bed. My experience at 2000 Post has been disappointing. I often think to myself what would I have done differently if I was the leasing office. In my opinion, the leasing office are trying to be as nice as possible, because they have no control over UDR corp. However, I still have to share how horrible it is to live here. Let me try to highlight some of the problems that I see with 2000 Post. I moved here in Feb of 2015. When I was walking around, the furniture looked out of date, but the staff said everything will be refreshed and will look amazing. I thought wow this is awesome. In the 11 months I have lived here, we haven't had pool for 9 months. This is horrible experience. I don't understand why corporate doesn't put pressure on the construction company. The gym was unavailable for 6 months. I was very disappointed that I couldn't use the gym that I saw when I was walking around. Leasing office offered gym memberships to other places. But I paid to be able to go downstairs. Not walk multiple blocks. There has been multiple elevators out of order for over few months. The main elevator to the parking lot hadn't worked for 3 months. The worst part of my living experience has been the holidays. My house had a leak which corp jumped to fix immediately. But now that I have been home on the holidays, I can't take the noise anymore. There is constant banging on my windows. My frames have all fell multiple times and my candle holders have fallen off. It is crazy to think that this is acceptable. I know they have to get this work done, but constant noise in my ears is not OK. I have a corner unit and yesterday they covered the majority of my windows with PLASTIC! I have no view. Do I want fresh air? Nope. Windows don't open like they did before. My rent got raised by $300 which is almost 10%. I expected them to treat existing residents better. Don't raise the rent. Don't raise the parking. Give me an incentive to not be upset about my living condition. Instead, there is constant banging, no pool and raised prices. So to person who lives here after us, I hope enjoy the new pool, new walls, and new whatever they promised. But just know to us people who are living here now, it's horrible. read more

My sister and I moved here at the end of February and so far have been very happy with the whole process. I came to look at the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment, applied later that day and we received approval and signed our lease minutes later. The whole process is very streamlined. We worked with Günther who is great, he was a pleasure to work with and made the whole move in process easy and speedy. The complex has a great new gym, pool area and club house. The parking is secure and I can always find a spot. We had an issue with our door and our restroom and both were resolved quickly and professionally. The maintenance staff was very friendly and communicative. We are really happy in this place and recommend it. read more

I agree with Amaya's review, so won't repeat some of the comments she made, her review was pretty spot on. This is San Francisco people - everything is expensive! I keep up with rental prices all over the city, and if you want to get super cheap, which really doesn't exist in this city any more, don't expect BBQ's, gym, spa and sauna to be a part of your facilities :) This area has been gentrified to a certain extent, there are still homeless around, but not enough to freak me out, and we have moved here from Australia. Homeless people are all over the world. We look onto the Church - the only time they play music is around 11am - 12pm on a Sunday. We have not had any problems with mice, and it's a large complex with different area's, so I think the mouse problem, was only in one area, which is sad for those that were affected, but I'm sure they are trying to fix that! As far as our apartment is concerned, I love it. It's a good size and clean. We have Cal King sized beds in the bedrooms, and there is still plenty of room for bedside tables and other furniture, if you wanted. Yes, we have had to purchase lamps, for all rooms, but this is the same with other apartment complexes in SF. The kitchen is new with granite benches. It's not a large kitchen, but there is a good enough amount of cupboard space and the fridge, microwave, stove and dishwasher are all good sizes and in good condition. The walk in robes are awesome - bathrooms are also clean and a good size. The lounge room had a new Flatscreen TV. Fortunately for us, our neighbors are great, it's not like we don't hear them, but they are apartments, and I do expect to hear some sort of noise when people are alive. Oh yes - you can't beat the location - it's central to everything. There are lot's of choices of bus lines to get to different areas, and you are not far from Safeway, Mollie Stones, and if you don't mind walking up a hill (you can always catch a 38 bus) Trader Joes, Target and Best Buys. You are 2 minutes walk from Fillmore Street shops and restaurants. and if you want cheap eats, catch a number 2 bus to Clement St or catch a number 1 to Chinatown. This is a great location, it's really hard to beat. read more

I struggle with how to rate this place. This is a two-handed equation that basically boils down to: if you have unlimited amounts of money or someone else is paying your bills for you and they have unlimited amounts of money, this is a great place to live. On the good hand: the property is beautifully maintained and the facilities are extremely clean and well kept. I love having visitors here. My studio is beautiful and I LOVE living with a walk in closet, granite countertops and tons of windows. Everything works well and management really does try to get things taken care of in a timely manner. As a single woman living alone, I also LOVE that there is security at night (thank you Bud). So, by all visible appearances, this place is really wonderful. Of all the staff, Dani, Chris, and Andy are each wonderful. On the bad hand: it does cost an arm and a leg. I am up for renewal and my rent increase is 20%. YES PEOPLE 20% increase over what I am paying to renew my lease. OUCH. Locking yourself out is $100, storage is $55, parking is $225, and pets are $75 per pet. So, whatever you are quoted for rent, realistically add another $500/month to cover these costs and utilities. if you don't pick up your packages in three days they will return them to sender (don't go on vacation for the holidays!), unanimously they seem to be really rude about move out, and sometimes the office in inexplicably closed durning the day for hours at a time. I think the deal with move out is: instead of charging reasonable prices so tenants want to stay and move outs don't happen very often so they could be like every other landlord, the place is so ridiculously expensive and rent increases are so gigantic that people constantly are looking to move out as soon as they find something better, so management puts it on them to get it ready for the next sucker, I mean tenant. 2000 Post has an attitude problem and this shines through whenever you have to deal with their parent UDR. Additionally, the building is located right next to Geary, so not only is it loud and you do have to suffer street noise and the drunks every weekend, I have heard three separate shootings over the last month and there have been two break-in attempts that I have witnessed since I lived here. The first involved a lot of me screaming and pulling on the door as some thuggish guys tried to pry it open after me, and the second involved avoiding some other thuggish guys waiting by the side door and then pretending to walk away but staying close enough to pounce when someone like me came by to open it. For being one block from a pretty sketch area, the prices are really intense. Finally, do not live here if you plan on using/needing public transportation or your friends would like to visit you that way. 2000 Post is in a transportation desert. read more

This will be our 4th year living at 2000 Post in a one-bedroom apartment. I highly recommend this luxury apartment. Yes the rent is high but so are all of the apartments in surrounding area. It feels like living in a hotel. I inquired at a regular-looking apartment at Fillmore street -a one-bedroom apartment is asking $3600/month with no concierge, no newly renovated pool, fitness room and social lounge which we are enjoying at 2000 Post. And the concierge staff are just tops- they welcome you with a big smile when you enter the newly renovated and inviting lobby. So many personal touches. My ultimate favorite is Gunther-today is my birthday and Gunther brought me birthday balloons and chocolates and my heart just melted. I love 2000 Post! read more

February 2016 and still no access to the pool that was supposed to be done in July 2015. Courtyard is still closed, and now the east courtyard is under construction. One elevator is in terrible shape, and the other is under construction. They advertise a pool, sauna, gym, courtyard space, grill area, and security. All we have access to is the gym, but we pay a fortune. Street parking is nearly impossible with the construction zones. Rents have been going up hundreds of dollars when leases renew. Most people move out before their lease is up claiming the living conditions were misrepresented. New carpets are already filthy thanks to construction dirt and irresponsible pet owners. The stairwells are particularly disgusting. Construction deadlines have been pushed due to weather and prolonged inspection processes. read more

EDIT: Unfortunately, we were unlucky enough to sign our new lease just before the pandemic. Prices for comparable apartments in the building are now 1500 dollars less than we are paying. They weren't willing to work with us on this and adjust the price of our rent. They would prefer to milk us for our every last post Covid-crisis dime while we wait for our lease to run out and move somewhere cheaper. After an absurd amount of complaining and negotiating they threw us a bone and waived our parking fees. Dissatisfactory in my opinion and not a good way to keep paying tenants in the building. I don't understand the business decisions happening here. Wouldn't you rather work with a current tenant towards a compromise? 2000 Post will incur expenses to upgrade the apartment to meet current standards when we move, re-list and still lose more money trying to fill it in this market. They could have just settled somewhere in the middle with us. Would seem to make more financial sense and could have avoided this nasty review. If only...I had a dime for every minute i've spent listening to the faulty fire alarm sound within the building, i'd have enough to pay for at least two months worth of overpriced rent. The location is great, but the accommodations (including pool and gym) are overrated and incredibly overpriced. My husband and I recently moved out after two years at 2000 Post because they wanted to increase our rent 10% (that's right, no rent control). Add the ridiculous water/trash and utilities bills (about $150/month!) and parking for $250/month... We didn't realize how bad we had been screwed till we shopped around for a new place and realized we could get a large, rent-controlled, beautiful apartment in Cow Hollow for the same price (water and trash included). Our PG&E bill miraculously went from $90/month to a mere $25/month (for a larger place, go figure)! The day we moved out of 2000 Post, they started redoing the cabinets and counter tops, no doubt so they could charge some schmuck 20-30% more than we paid for the same old money pit. read more

I lived here for 2 years. The best thing about this place and why I put up with the 2 years is that it was 2 blocks away from work. There are pros but also usually followed by a con depending on how you look at it. 1. They have a garage. Great! guaranteed parking. BUT - Not always secure as I would see broken car windows at least 1/month, once it was 2 in one week. Its not cheap. $200-275/month. 2. Laundry on each floor. I think some units have their own W/D but those units are not cheap either. 3. Concierge is always nice and friendly 4. Gym/Pool/Sauna - great ammenities. But they have a strict 10pm closing. 5. Add about $100 on top of your rent for water and garbage. I used to pay $50 for water every 2 months when I had a house! Overall it was ok . If you are living off a Trust or can easily afford it, by all means. But I make a decent living but cmon. GUARANTEED, if you live here expect a 20% increase every year, as they did it to me. The only reason I was able to afford it was because I took over a lease that started at $1600 for a studio. Not too shabby for a studio in SF. Then they raised it to $1850 the next year, doable but thats alot! The next year they wanted $2200!! Thats a mortgage payment!!!! Forget it! read more

I love living here. Its clean and quite and within walking distance of so many great restaurants and coffee shops. The office staff (Danielle, Elizabeth, Idi and Gunther) are always helpful and friendly. We had a couple issues with the plumbing in our bathroom and Tyler and Hugo fixed them really quickly. I always see Chris out cleaning or fixing something around the property. There must be an endless number of things that need fixing on such a big property but he's always happy and stops to say hi. read more

We love living here! We have lived here on two different occasions since 2012. Once our lease ended, to our chagrin, we had to move away for 6 months, but once we could come back to SF, the choice was simple. When it was time to look for a place back in SF, it was a no-brainer! We love the service here, the front office staff is so helpful, always smiling, always helping us with everything, and always feeding our dog delicious treats without missing a beat. Gunther is our favorite front man! If you ever have a question or a need, Gunther will take care of it! When we were applying to move back in he made the process simple as pie. He advised us on the apartment, patiently showed us all available options and helped us choose the right one for us. He also puts up the best holiday decorations! The maintenance staff is awesome and so friendly. We have had several small things break/need maintenance in the apt, like the shower door, or the towel rack or a run-away shelf in the kitchen, and each one has been taken care of quickly, efficiently and with a friendly manner. Additionally, we had scheduled maintenance to clean out the drains and other such odds and ends. Our favorite man in this crew is Chris! He is awesome!! We love the amenities, and they are aplenty 1) all of my colleagues are amazed that I have a pool and a hot tub in the city, 2) we have free yoga twice, not just once, but twice, a week and our instructor is amazing! I love Lorna. 3) the gym is perfect, my husband uses it all the time and the equipment is clean and the gym is never slammed. 4) we have thrown so many BBQs on the grills and the best part - we never have to clean them, thank you Maria! Finally, we love the neighborhood, with the crown jewel for us is the dog park - Alta Plaza, hands down the best views in the city and the friendliest dogs and owners. The restaurants are excellent is usual SF fashion and I love the stores close by, Molly, Whole Foods, TraderJoes, Safeway, all walkable or drivable. Costco is 10 mins away. The main Boulange bakery, Crossroads, and the 38 to downtown. The UCSF shuttles all pick up at the Mount Zion stop too. I love 2000 Post! read more

My girlfriend and I lived in this complex for about two years, and in that time the experience went from very overpriced but nice to immensely overpriced and horrific. New tenants should be aware that these problems are ongoing and might as well be permanent at this point. Our worst experience was definitely when the apartment was burglarized. The management had the temerity to blame us for being robbed, then surreptitiously retrofitted our door's locking mechanism after the fact. They had previously tried to charge tenants a fee to have a working lock, and I guess our unit was one of many that was never fixed. As incredible as it sounds, our property was stolen and our personal lives were violated because they tried to shake down a prior tenant for cash to fix his door, then knowingly left him and future tenants vulnerable when no payment was made. For reference, the fix took about 30 seconds and apparently cost something like $15. I do not exaggerate when I say that the police who responded to the incident were an order of magnitude more helpful than the management. Indeed, they let us know that break-ins on the property are commonplace--something I wish we had known before moving in! Be on the lookout for opportunistic vagrants wandering the halls and using the laundry rooms in certain parts of the building. Though this has always been an issue, the situation deteriorated rapidly when the construction started. You should definitely pay extra for "replacement value" when you pick up renter's insurance, otherwise you will get essentially nothing when your belongings are taken. Let's get into the construction. The behemoth, apparently endless project denied us access to the key selling points of the complex, namely, its gym and pool area. We couldn't even find the front desk for a period of time. The place looked awful when we left, and yes, the fire alarm disruptions were as bad as people describe. The changes to the interior have somehow succeeded in making the place look worse--they chose some very kitschy accents and the most awful looking flooring (presumably to hide stains for the next 3 decades until they renovate again). When your lease ends you will be hit with the predictable 25% rent hike. I would like to emphasize that this should not be normal, even if it is considered to be so. I suggest whole-heartedly that you rent from an individual human being rather than a complex if you can find such an arrangement. They may experience sympathy and bouts of kindness, even, while you can rest assured that a massive complex such as this one will squeeze you for every possible cent. When it comes time to renew your lease, they will offer you some improbable month-to-month rate in the many, many thousands of dollars if you happen to need another month or two at the location. You should NEVER sign on to such a rate. I suggest researching landlord-tenant law and learning your rights. Call up a local attorney if you need help. San Francisco law favors tenants and you may be able to get a payout from the complex to close out your stay rather than the other way around. You should not feel a single iota of guilt if it comes to that. The complex will also try to steal much of your (unnecessarily massive) deposit when you leave. They will charge for cleaning that may or may not actually happen, as well as any possible repair they can hope to justify. This is basically bonus money for them--again, make sure you know your rights and don't give up any portion of your deposit without a fight! It really boggles the mind to consider how much money this place must be making. Between the inordinate rent, cuts to staffing, lax security (I saw a guard twice in two years), and incredibly low rate they likely pay on property tax (thanks, Prop 13!), they are likely raking in many hundreds of thousands in pure, blissful profit every month. Don't be their profit center--avoid entering into a "relationship" with 2000 Post if you can! Shop around a bit and I'm sure you will at least settle on someplace that isn't under construction. In the interest of full disclosure, here is an exhaustive list of the positives: the fixtures in our unit were nice, we had few problems with the minor repairs we requested, and our neighbors were all fine. read more

I've been a resident here for a little over 6 months and the experience has been great! I've absolutely loved living here - From the hassle free lease signing process with Danielle to the friendly interaction day-to-day with everyone from Maria on the cleaning crew, Chris on the maintenance team, and Elizabeth at Concierge. I haven't had any repair needs but all the construction around my hallway has been handled professionally and expediently. My dog has also loved the various pets social events organized by the management team and can't wait to visit the concierge for treats. And for the price range I was looking at you really couldn't find a better combo of charming and foodie friendly neighborhood, convenience, and amenities (24 hr gym and ample free street parking). read more

Quite possibly the worst living experience that I have had in my entire life. The charges just dont stop, even after you're able to escape (lots of hidden charges by this corporation, be sure to read the fine fine print of your invoice, and assume that given the opportunity they will take you for as much money as they can possibly get out of you). This doesnt even touch on the fact that the "hot tub" fits 3 people and is functional (with remotely hot water) about 2 weeks out of every month. Fire alarms almost weekly with the occasional fire in the garage, the hallways constantly smell, and the noise around the building is horrendous (always kids running through the hallways - and one lady that actually does her workouts running through the hallways of the apartment building). Yet still they find a way to justify increasing the rent over 10% once your lease is up. Dont live here, you will live to regret it. read more

My boyfriend and I have lived here for over three years and have been very happy with the excellent service provided by the front office staff, especially Gunther, and with the general maintenance service in the building. We like the convenience of doing everything online including paying rent, renewing leases & submitting service requests as well as having our packages delivered to the office for easy pick-up. In addition, Chris is one of the best maintenance staff at 2000 Post. He has great customer service skills, is very responsive to our service requests - usually within a day - and knows what it takes to complete the job. In addition, he is very friendly, nice and accessible. He also communicates clearly and we can rely on him to follow-up when needed. He goes over and beyond his duties and this level of service is not easy to find in other rentals. In general, we are very pleased with our decision to live in this building. The neighborhood is in a great location and as a long-time renter in the City (over 20 years), I speak from experience when I say that this has been the easiest place to live with the least amount of hassles. read more

I live here. Although it is a bit expensive and you have to pay ALL the utilities. (That should knocked them 1 star). I am still giving them 5 stars. Everything works and they keep the maintenance of the building quite well. I remember someone tagged some graffiti in the elevator recently and the graffiti was removed THE NEXT DAY. Now that is call maintenance. They are also quite responsive to tenant 's needs and the front desk staff are fabulous!! They really take the time to make sure you are taken care of and any repairs are done by the next day or same day. We are hoping to upgrade to 1 bedroom here soon and will stick around this building for a little while longer. read more

Lived here for a year and had multiple issues with maintenance response times and dirty common areas (can't walk through any stairwell without smelling pet urine). The apartments are out of date compared to other apartment complexes in the city for the same price. But worst of all, getting an honest move-out statement has been a nightmare. The communication between the leasing office and the billing department is pretty much non-existent making our predicament 10x worse because people can't do their job. We were first sent a statement that included billing for replacing the carpet with hardwood floors for over $2000 AND charged for carpet replacement and carpet cleaning for another $600? It doesn't make much sense to clean the carpets, then replace them and then replace the carpet replacements with hardwood right? We tried calling and emailing the leasing office over the course of a week with no response. My fiancee finally had to go directly to the office to wait for an associate to look into our move-out statement to which they replied "We'll get back to you in a few days", and big surprise they never followed up. So then we contact the UDR billing department to get this mess sorted out to which they told us they would look into it. No response for a couple days and we call back to again follow-up. Finally, after two weeks of back and forth, we get information regarding our move-out inspection to which we see no obvious damage that would necessitate a full carpet replacement. We throw that question back to the UDR billing department and after a few days they sent an updated move-out statement with what we believe is a fair move-out refund (yeah turns out they owe us a portion of our deposit back instead trying to get us to fraudulently charge us for upgrading the apartment to hardwood flooring). We started this process early May and we still have not received our deposit back. read more

Ok, I will admit, I am juuust a touch biased in my review of this place, as I have just been informed that I will not be getting my security deposit refund for ANOTHER 3 weeks (Its going on 3), due to their apparent illiteracy. It pains me to take it to 2 stars, however a girl can only be pushed so far. There are some absolutely delightful peeps that work here...Ok maybe 2, Daniel and Margarita are awesome. Much love. However, some of the other folks here, namely Mark, can suck it. I lived here for a year, and was given my tour and had my lease set up by Daniel. Two words: he rocks. He was super friendly and helpful, and bent over backwards to help me get the great apartment that I had my heart set on. I owe you sir. Margarita, is the wonderful, lovely lady who takes care of cleaning the building and the guest units. She is awesome and genuinely nice. She also saved me when I had gotten locked IN, yes IN, to my apartment and had to hack my way out with a butter knife. I came staggering out huffing and puffing from a mild panic attack, and she looked at me like I was insane at first, but ultimately got me the maintanence dude to fix my damn door knob. So on to the more general stuff: The good: *It was a good location for me, very close to work. *My unit was recently remodeled and had a washer and dryer. *The complex is pet friendly. *Gym on premises with recently updated equipment. The bad...ahem... * They wanted to increase my rent on a studio by 200.00 to make it OVER $2200.00 month for a STUDIO. And when I asked the always charming Mark in the office about the exact same units listed on Craigslist for 5 and 6 hundred dollars cheaper, I was told I could switch, if I wanted to PAY to break my current lease and pay a new security deposit on the other unit, which was THE EXACT SAME as the one I was in. * The god damn fire alarms. The shrill, skull piercing alarms had a tendency to go off juuust as I was drifting off to sleep, and then would like to announce their presence around 2 or 3 in the morning. Happened so many times I lost count. *The pool. Now initially I was thrilled there was a pool in the complex. Until of course the first rousing game of Marco-Polo was screamed outside my window at 8 am on my only day off that week. Ugh my ovaries tied themselves. *My door knob/lock seemed to have some issues. Seeing that one time I was trapped inside my apartment for an hour frantically trying to get out. And on another occasion, some chick used her very own key and was able to unlock my deadbolt and open my door, and then scurry away when asked just what the f**k she was doing. Bottom line, while Daniel and Margarita show there are some fabulous people here, the bottom line at 2000 Post is money, not customer service. They seem to care much more about jacking up rent than keeping their tenants. Avoid. read more

Moved in at the beginning of Sept 16. Workout room, Pool, and hot tub are regularly maintained. I get a lot of packages delivered and the the lockers that they are sorted in upon delivery keeps them safe without worry. Great location close to bus stops. Sweet maple is around the corner, great for breakfasts and lunches. The community is quiet at night and in a nice neighborhood. read more

I lived in 2000 Post for one year, and I couldn't be happier living there. The crew on site was very helpful and welcoming. The gym was very clean and well maintained. The location was perfect! With walking distance to parks, groceries and public transportation. However I had to move because of work. I'll definitely choose 2000 Post again if I move back to SF. read more

Firstly, let me say that I think the majority of the staff are super fantastic and doing the best they can do. I think they too are doing the best they can given the circumstances. I've now been here almost three months and I'm changing my review based on a few things. Yes, there is a lot of construction and it's super annoying; I'm lucky enough to live in a part of the building that doesn't seem to be too impacted by it just yet, so I'll skip over that issue mostly. I do, however, think that they need to take the word 'luxury' out of their name. 1.) The building is in no way shape or form secure. Doors are constantly propped open and doors to the garage are open almost all day and into the early evening. There is no one monitoring the doors / areas so anyone could just walk in. Heck, I guess anyone could even just drive in if they felt so inclined. This is not a secure building. Period. 2.) The garbage is an issue. The maintenance team does the best they can to take the overflowing garbage bins to the street for collection, but garbage inevitably gets scattered about the street and no one comes to clean it up. There's almost always garbage on the street corners from the bins. As one can imagine, this creates unpleasant smells and attracts bugs, etc. 3.) Currently, the amenities advertised are non-existent. Sorry, that's not true, I take that back - the fitness center just opened. But the pool, courtyard, hot tub, etc., are all closed due to the construction. 4.) (My personal pet peeve) You can't get an extra key fob to the main entry. Sure, no one seems to care if the doors are propped open all day but if I try to actually get a real key to the main doors for my mother to use when she visits I can't get one. Not even for a fee. Not even to 'rent' for the time she's here. Guests have to put their names on a list and be buzzed in (when you're not home) by the front office, but there are no provisions for how they get buzzed in when the office is closed after hours, weekends, holidays or as was the case recently, when no one answers the phone. Someone has not thought this policy through adequately. All in all, I've downgraded from a "Yay! I'm a fan' to a 'Meh'. And I don't feel like I am paying for a 'Meh' apartment. For what we pay this should be at a minimum 'A-OK' read more

Run.....I've been living here since early 09 and can't believe any tenant would give it positive feedback. They have a ton of issues with problem tenants, extremely noise and inconsiderate tenants, spent all the money on improving the rental office but won't replace toilets or re-do the showers. It is way over priced and there are plenty of alternatives nearby. I can't wait for my lease to be up in two months. read more

I chose to move in here after meeting Robert, one of the previous staff members. He was so friendly and kind that I made the mistake of not doing some research and checking for online reviews. All of the staff here are very helpful and friendly, whenever I've had an issue they've been quick to address it. And the gym is very nice. However, as everyone else has mentioned, the renovation is continually pushed back. I came to visit the building in July and was assured the pool for example would be completed by the end of summer. It's now almost November and it hasn't been completed. Additionally, for a luxury apartment, some of the materials are pretty cheap. The kitchen and bathroom counters are made of a very light plastic that absorbs anything that spills on it, such as berries, or even oil. If you're not quick to clean it in under a minute you wind up with a stain. This makes cooking very difficult, and I'm assuming that despite our best efforts to clean as we cook we'll still end up paying for a new countertop. I just hope that isn't the building owner's intention. Bottom line- I love the location, and appreciate the people here. But I wouldn't recommend to a friend that they move here. read more

I have been at 2000 Post for almost two years now, and I love it. The location is awesome, walkable to everything. The building has all the mod-cons I dreamt about while living in NYC (lots of space, dishwasher, washer dryer in-unit, lots of natural light, pool, gym, and outdoor space!) The best part about living here is the attentive building staff. The office team is great - thanks for everything Hayes, Idi, Gunther, Danielle & Elizabeth. I've lived at 2000 post for 3 years now and just signed my lease for a fourth year. It's a great location, and you can't beat the amenities. The staff is so helpful, and makes it feel like a community. Especially Chris Carroll, who has worked here since I can remember. He's always got a smile and takes pride in his job and the residents here. He's always willing to lend a hand no matter what. One time I lost my key on the street during a morning run and he searched the sidewalks while I got ready for work, found the key (3 blocks away!), and left it for me in my apartment!! Now that is a good deed if I've ever Heard it. Keep up the good work Chris, and 2000 post thanks to your commitment to your residents!! read more

Just moved her recently, I really enjoy the amenities like the gym and the pool. My friends really like the lounge and the pool table. My apartment is really nice and comfortable and I feel at home. I have lived lots of places and have a really high standard for where I choose to live. 2000 Post hits it on the head! I love living here and showing people where I live.
