This apt complex is a corporate complex that is well staffed. You move in with expectations of bureaucracy that comes with corporate apt complexes but feel at home when you see regular staff working, caring, and smiling at you day in and day out. Recently, I was given a wonderful gift set by the staff here for my 1st child. Heather greeted me and told me it was a "lil something". But something this small to them was actually a gesture that made my pregnancy and welcoming my first child into this building so much more welcoming. I actually made a mistake mentioning Heather. I lived at 2000 Post for 2 years. I liked it...for the first 6 months. I moved to SF from out of state and had very little time to search for an apartment. I was so excited when I found 2000 Post and was so impressed with my leasing agent (Chris Davies - why'd you have to move?!!?). It seems to me like after you settle they send you to the back of the line, you no longer matter because they are on to their next unfortunate victim. I really loved the neighborhood and the friends I met there, but it has gotten so bad there...Read on for details... The leasing office staff: truly terrible. If you took these same people and put them in any other business setting, the company would tank. Emails get answered only occasionally, and often weeks late. No one ever answers the phone. Asking for help or raising a concern and you will he treated like you are the BIGGEST inconvenience to them. Gunter lacks basic human empathy and is incredibly condescending when he responds to you. Tran will reference "corporate" or "corporate policy" whenever she can. Corporate is a lazy excuse to try to shut people up. I wonder if UDR Corporate is as bad as she's made them out to be? Security: part of my reason for moving into Post was for the overnight security. This is marketed as overnight, in person security. Great! Right? Nope. Their security (also note I haven't seen them since the pandemic started) is ONE PERSON for a 400+ unit building that covers an entire city block and that has way too many entrances/exits to count. One person. Just one! Who might be the same age as my grandpa. There's another gentleman who is/was a "security guard". I would often find him watching Netflix on the sidewalk. Also WHEN I FOUND A HOMELESS PERSON SLEEPING IN A STAIRWELL and called security, I was routed to a call service that was going to dispatch that guy to come check it out. It took Mr. Netflix about 30 mins to find me, even though I was very specific about where I was (outside, on the corner of Post and Steiner, with my dog). When he got there he casually mentioned that he didn't know this specific stairwell existed. Cool, so you're a security guard who doesn't know the layout of the building? When I emailed the leasing people to ask if they could send out a heads-up email to the residents (I'd want to be made aware of a situation like this to be extra vigilant), their response was that it went against community policy or something like that. Maybe "corporate"? So I walked down to the office and told Chad that the residents have the right to know about security incidences - we are after all paying for "security" - Chad's response, quoted, "what do you want me to fucking do about it. You could have called 911." Which brings me back to the leasing staff: truly terrible. Leasing/rent: my lease was up 8/18/20. I got my renewal notice mid-May I believe. My rent was going to increase by $145 in the middle of a pandemic when market rates (that's another phrase they love to throw around) were dropping. I was conflicted: I loved my neighbors, but $3400 for a tiny studio that was also being listed on Craigslist for $3100. Come on. June rolled around and I found out that my company, like many others, was cutting back. I lost my job. I emailed Tran to let her know I would not be renewing my lease. I also asked what they were willing to do in a time like this. Her solution was for me to keep paying my rent. Like, really? Duh. I'm an adult who has done this before. I know I have to pay my rent. I signed my vacate papers mid-July. Per usual, no one could give me any information about what I needed to do, or what would take place on their end. Chad confusingly handed me a bunch of papers to sign. (Note I moved out 7/25.) The weeks following my move-out I was receiving texts from actual UDR corporate offering me the following: no rent increase, $100 parking, lowering my current rate to around $2700 ($500 less than I was paying), a $1000 gift card, 2 months rent free. GUYS, I HAD ALREADY MOVED OUT. Where were these offers when I got my lease renewal agreement? Where was this when I signed my vacate paperwork. To me, these offers are half-assed, disingenuous attempts to retain business. I have so much more to say but that's good for now. There are so many other humane places to live in the city. Don't get tricked. I'm wayyyyyyy less stressed now that I'm out of there! 2000 Post has the potential to be an incredible community within a very transient city. While I enjoy living at 2000 post, I can say, hands down, from move in date until now, Gunther has been the most helpful, patient, and accommodating member of staff I have ever encountered at this property. He is always available and always makes me feel better after a rough day. I am a pediatric nurse and I work on a floor with patients that have tough prognoses. It means the world to me to be able to come home to someone always so kind. I have been living in 2000 post close to 8 months and while the building complex is nice and offers several amenities, the management team tends to be the complete opposite as it is almost non responsive and this is not acceptable for a place that charges rent so high. Since Covid, 2000 post closed the offices to keep the staff healthy but unfortunately communication (either by phone or email) is none, every time you call to the office it goes straight to voice mail and when trying to connect to the 24/7 office it also goes to voice mail. The interesting thing is that if you call to get information for a new apartment, they will answer right away. read more

I wish I could give less than 1 star. While living in this building, Gunther and Chad were completely unresponsive. When they did respond, they were rude and condescending. While moving out (during covid) they were asked a month ahead of time if there was anything needed to complete the process. At the end of the day on our move out day they wrote back to have the keys entered in to the property mailbox. Because they were not in the rental box on that day, they charged $60. Total scam, and was avoidable if they would have responded to any of the 15 emails requesting information on the move out. I have plenty of other stories to showcase their complete lack of responsibility. Ultimately, do yourself a favor and avoid this building. The only reason to live here is the amenities and you won't be able to use those for the foreseeable future. That, mixed with their schemes to charge you for things that are their fault, and complete lack empathy, make for a building that will be shut down in the next two years (or just a change in management). read more

After you sign the lease, it's impossible to contact them -- I once waited three weeks to get a response despite making many calls and sending many emails. Moving to San Francisco can be daunting. On a mad search for an apartment, I had a week to stay with a friend at 2000 Post, and by the end of the week it was clear after dozens of tours elsewhere, I was already home. The best aspects of 2000 Post are the extraordinary crew, from the legendary wit of Gunther, the maintenance crew who are responsive, respectful and SO quick to help, and the caring Kristina -- among many more. The amenities -- especially the gardens, grills, gym and community room are Top NOTCH. Living/working from home, I often use the community room to work, host clients and colleagues -- who are always impressed with the space. I moved out from two thousand post over six months ago I really miss the pool and the onsite gym! Everything was a luxury but the best part of all was the staff I miss Gunther at the front desk Juan the maintenance man working on the property and Danielle showing new resident s around. Very expensive and somehow, not rent controlled. Remote management sends a despicable manager drone with no power to make your life better no matter what you request but a lot of power to be ugly to you. The other management people are reasonably nice and the service staff is very nice. Tremendous homeless presence outside. It's best to face in, not out to the street, in spite of the loud parties in the pool and spa until 10pm over the weekend. Everything costs extra. I've never before been charged for a recommendation to the next landlord but here they want $25, an insulting fee that benefits them very little. Most of the units have very old kitchens. If you only sleep here and don't cook, it's doable but like I say, expensive. Conveniently located on 38 and 22 buses and near Fillmore's shopping area and Mollie Stone, Safeway, and Japantown's movie theater and shops. read more

DO NOT MOVE INTO UDR 2000 Post. It is a horrible building. They lie and cheat you for just about everything. The washer and dryers are atrocious, moldy, broken, and do not work. I've been here for 2 years and it's still lies from Tina of "oh we're working on it." It's total bullshit. They have started building 15 new units, so it is dusty and noisy. They have only now just notified us that the pool would be shut down due to the construction. Really??! You couldn't have told us sooner before we resigned our lease. Note: This is an honest review of the overall experience of living at the Apartment Complex 2000 Post Street Luxury Apartments, San Francisco. My rating is for the full experience of living there, and is not influenced by UDR who promised to give bonuses to staff who persuaded residents to give them 5-Star Reviews, which due to the generosity of residents often gave UDR the chance to gain completely undeserved praise, which was in fact aimed at their overworked maintenance and cleaning staff. I'm simply stunned at some of the positive reviews. Dog treats from the concierge, smiles from the management staff, and a cute accent from Gunther do not mitigate the one-star atrocity that is 2000 Post. If it were advertised and priced as a modest apartment complex it might just be defensible, but when it claims to be up there with other San Francisco "luxury" complexes it's an absolutely appalling slum. 2000 Post Luxury Apartment Homes must be amongst the dirtiest, smelliest, noisiest, unsafe, unsecured, over-priced and sub-standard properties in all of the Bay Area. Approximately 70% of the amenities listed by the building management are simply not true and every photo is a heavily retouched fake from over a decade ago. Before the renovations began last November the interiors, carpeting, skirting, hallways and elevator areas were outdated and worn. We now have been given new carpets but we have lost the pool, hot tub, yoga\workout area, sauna, half the deck and BBQ areas, and both landscaped courtyard now look like a 1980's disaster movie. We'll soon lose sunlight and air from our apartments as all the exterior sidings, windows, and roof are replaced. There was a quick mention of "renovation" when we renewed our lease but UDR failed to mention every single month of our yearlong lease would have significant construction work where many of the amenities will be unusable. I consider this fraudulent misrepresentation and bad faith practice of the worst kind. As a result of the loss of amenities, the constant disruption, noise, dust, and noticeable shaking of the building, the management company UDR has kindly offered to raise our rents by only 10-20%. You'll notice that UDR deemed it necessary to upgrade the front office BEFORE fixing the broken fire doors, broken fire egress doors, uncertified fire extinguishers, missing smoke alarms, flooding laundry rooms, dangerous electrical outlets, unlocked equipment rooms, overflowing trash chutes, vermin infestations, constantly breaking elevators and exterior doors, unsecured parking and bike facilities, broken indoor and outdoor lighting, and general grunginess of everything not open to public view. Cosmetic upgrades for the sales staff apparently have higher priority in this apartment complex than tenant safety. Rents are high all over for luxury apartments, but for this pathetic level of even basic amenities, the rents at 2000 Post for what you get in return are obscene. Do other "luxury" apartment dwellers pay a minimum of $40,000 per year to have poorly lit dead end hallways scattered with piles of garbage, containing drugs, razors, and festering soiled underwear from illegally squatting junkie sex-workers who have wandered in through the non-existent security. 2000 Post advertises itself to be an oasis of luxurious calm in a bustling city complete with laughably inaccurate claims of comfort and quiet and photos of non-existent amenities on its website ... it's really a one-star dilapidated mess\ building site run by incompetent on-site staff and managed by the most cartoonish greedy scamming owners you could possibly imagine. Another mass rental apartment complex. 1 bedrooms are affordable and the community is decent, a little pricey for the somewhat aging exterior reflective of seaside living. For pet lovers, add another $50 to your monthly rent to have your dog here. The pet policy is interesting, since it was the first thing I noticed. Then after closer perusing of their policies, I walked out the door. I have a mix, but they refused my pooch because she "looked" like she had a 1/3 pit in her. What. Are you frickin serious? Here is a copy of what they have posted in terms of pets: Pets Allowed: Cats Small Dogs Large Dogs Pet Restrictions: one cat $25.00 a month two cats $ 50.00 a month one dog up to 75 pounds two dogs : up to 10 each dog. Breed restrictions apply: Resident certifies this animal has no aggressive or violent history,and has never bitten any person or injured any other animals. Except for service animals,no approval will be given for Pit Bull, Mastiff,Chow,Doberman,German Shepert, Rottweiler or Chihuahua breeds and mixes. What I found interesting after visiting their ad on-line, is a clear indication of not being educated about breeds. I'm sure not to rent from management that can't even run a spell check or correctly spell the name of the breed they are so firm in rejecting. Writing my final review for this place as I successfully moved out from this place after living only 8 months. Boy, so happy not hearing construction noise any more. TL,DR: moved out because of ever-going reconstruction; residents complain and leave; management does not do much to address; do not recommend. Final note, mostly for those who consider this place as a new home: 1. I do recommend NOT TO DO SO until the renovation is completed (which has a tendency to extend far beyond what is communicated or expected). If an agent says it will be completed in 1-2 months - fly away (that is most likely inaccurate information). 2. Photos on yelp (those provided by business owner) very nicely hide the parts which are still under construction. Try to find the pool, planned to be open in end on June, on pictures with new walls (named 'prison walls' by one of the residents) 3. Most active tenants moved out after months of debating with the local and corporate management. Some of those received "friendly" suggestion to calm down and stop "acting aggressively" or move out 4. Not rent controlled. 5. Not very safe. A number of trespassing events occurred recently (number increased with the renovation project), prompt open doors. 6. Quite decent customer facing team (unless the question comes to something related to the renovation). read more

I originally wrote a review for Chris (in charge of maintenance) and gave him 5 stars. I still stand by the 5 stars for Chris as he was amazing and always went above and beyond to help. However, everything except for Chris is a 1 star. First of all, the building has been under construction since we moved in and management did essentially nothing to accommodate us. We were hugely inconvenienced and lost access to all amenities, but were still forced to pay full rent even though we no longer had pool access, gym access, limited elevator access, etc. Second, we had terrible sewage issues. At one point, our toilet exploded sewage water all over our bathroom and into our living room and kitchen. While they cleaned it up at the time, we were charged for and exorbitant amount for carpet repairs and heavy carpet cleaning upon moveout!! Not only that, but we were charged a ridiculous amount in general upon moveout to have our apartment repainted and cleaned, even though the apartment was left in good condition and had nothing more than normal wear and tear. Overall, our experience at 2000 Post was horrible. We were taken advantage of by the management and were charged way too much for what we got. They make it very difficult to move out as they charge a ton of money and make it difficult for future landlords to contact. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!! read more

The building constantly has maintenance issues, lack of security, dirty/smelly common areas. Management lacks a sense of urgency, and is often unresponsive. Over the past 12 months, to name a few items:. SECURITY - **Although rents can be over a $4,000 premium for concierge services, packages can be stolen from various entrances in the building due to lack of concierge, security, or recording cameras. MAINTENANCE - **Overwhelming chemical smells fill the building with no prior notice. The smells are so strong that it seems unsafe to sleep in the apartment **Leaky bathroom sinks take multiple visits to fix, and in the meantime can flood entire bathrooms and damage personal property. **The building installed "new" windows that leave the apartments scorching hot. Wanted to add an update to my review. I didn't mention this in the previous one but this building is also not secure. You would think with the astronomical rent you pay in the building, there would at least be solid security. I have read stories about homeless people sneaking into the building and sleeping in stairwells or walking around the halls. I have not experienced this myself personally but it's not hard to believe given there are a lot of homeless people nearby in this area and the security isn't good. Not to mention, people prop open doors all the time or don't use their common sense when letting others in, making it easy for anyone to get inside. read more

I've been living at 2000 Post for over 2 years now, and overall, I've really enjoyed the entire experience. When my wife and I moved in, Gunther was our man--he gave us our tour and helped us with our paperwork. He still works in the front office and is always happy and cheerful when we come in to get our packages, or ask questions. Perhaps most importantly, he's always ready with a dog treat for our pup, Mac. In fact, he's so reliable with the treats that Mac whines when it's Gunther's day off! The other staff are great too--particular shout outs to Chris, who I always see cleaning up the grounds (he also once gave out popsicles on a hot day to everyone who was sitting out by the pool!) and to Elizabeth, the concierge. She handles the large number of package deliveries with grace and efficiency, and also loves Mac. Our apartment complex itself is nicely appointed, with a pool, hot tub, gym, and sauna, as well as communal grills and outdoor tables. Even on sunny summer days, it's never too crowded outside. Our apartment is a large studio, and we've been very happy with it. Good light, huge closet. Maintenance is great; most issues are resolved within 24 hours, even on weekends. The fact that they will accept and store your packages is amazing--truly a lifesaver. Plus, they are very dog friendly and the pet rent is reasonable. The location of the building is fantastic. It sits at the intersection of Lower Pac Heights, Japantown, and Western Addition/Fillmore, which means that within a 15 minute walking radius, we have access to two fantastic parks (Alta Vista and Alamo Square), fine dining (including Delfina Pizza, SPQR and State Bird), excellent bars (Boom Boom Room, Fat Angel, Palmers), and great casual spots (The Grove, Roam Burgers, Social Study). Plus, the Fillmore Theater is right there, so if you ever see a show, you're within stumbling distance. And Japantown, and all the ramen. And if you ever want to leave the neighborhood, it's not a problem. We're well-served by regular cabs and all the rideshares, and there are 5 muni lines within a 5 minute walk that will take you downtown, out to the ocean, down to the mission, or up to the marina. We're also not in a very hilly area, so if you're a bike rider like me, you never have to hoof it too hard (if you know the way). Yea, I love this area. If I had to give some constructive criticism, there would be two areas for improvement. First, some of the email communication is poorly written and sometimes comes off as scolding or condescending. It's never been truly terrible, but it can rub the wrong way. Second, the building has been undergoing some improvements to the hallways, including new tile, carpet and painting. This process has taken a long time, which isn't necessarily a problem in itself--however, residents are often only given a few days notice that they will need to have their pets out of the apartment. This can be frustrating because with only a few days to plan, it can be very difficult to get petcare for an entire day. However, both those issues are easily corrected, and hopefully will improve over time. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with living here! I never hesitate to recommend the building to anyone who mentions that they are looking for a place to live. read more

So I am actively looking for a two bedroom with my friend. We went here today and were amazed. They have two bedroom two bathroom dual master suite units! they also have a pool, bike storage, parking, a gym, and a tanning bed. Yes, I said tanning bed. This place definitely moved to the TOP of our list. I just wish it was a little closer to the muni line. On a plus i could bike to work downtown relatively easy. Also, if you take a tour hopefully you will be lucky enough to have julie guide you around. She was honest. Down to earth. And gave us all the information, good and bad. Reasons for a "3" (more like a 2-3): 1. Overpriced rent...$2300 for a one bedroom, come on. 2. Limited parking...if I wanted to pay an extra few hundred I would have been able to get a spot at my OWN apartment. 3. Gunther is a doll, but the other young woman who works there at the front desk is an idiot (zero customer service). 4. The maintenance people are creepy and know less about electricity than I do...the power went out and they said it would "be a few days until they could get someone" - yikes. 5. If you break your lease for any reason, even with 30 days notice, they will take all of your deposit and find every last excuse in the book to keep it...consider it gone. 6. The only reason I added a star (to my original 2 star rating) is because they have a great pool, sauna, tanning bed, gym, BBQ and garden. If you are looking for a place to move in the city that has all new appliances and the amenities in #6, fine. But if you are looking for a place with that old San Francisco charm...search craigslist, be patient and don't settle. read more

I have lived here for over 3 years and although the renovations have been a challenge, I can't really complain about having an updated gym, new entertainment lounge, brand new gas grills, larger jacuzzi, brand new pool furniture, and overall update of the whole building. Now that it is about 90% completed I have to to say I am really enjoying all the updates. Just this past Sunday I played tennis and basketball just across the street then went up the block to Glaze for some lunch before using the new entertainment lounge with the large flat screen to watch the Warriors game. No complaints here. Overall the neighborhood is extremely easy to walk with a ton of restaurants and bars within a 5-10mins. The office staff is always helpful on the rare occasion that I need to stop by for something as the new package locker system makes it really easy to pickup anything I order online. You get a code emailed to you to enter into the iPad and boom there's your package. Great upgrade! Cayla, Danielle, Idi, Gunther, and Lisa are doing a great job and although I see a lot of complaints on here, (often about things out of their control from construction past) they are always welcoming to me and any of my guests with a smile on their face. Regarding the service side, my requests have been fixed in a timely manner and if something requires a longer period they will give you a call and leave a message to give you an eta. All that I can ask for. Price: San Francisco is the most expensive US city to live in and you are probably moving here for a new job, so understand rents will be in accordance with that fact. You also get a lot more amenities for what you are paying then you will at most places, so there is a price to pay for that. I've been at 2000 Post for about a month and so far the entire experience has been excellent! They definitely run a tight ship and things are taken care of and handled in a professional and timely manner. Some examples of the staff taking care of details: - We got a welcome basket when we moved in. Nothing too fancy, but it was a map of the neighborhood, two bottles of water, a bottle of wine, and a roll of toilet paper. =) Thoughtful and practical. - The light in my closet was out. I submitted a maintenance request at night via the website and the next day when I came home, the light was working again, automagically. - Gunther, an awesome staff member at 2000 post saw me carrying a bunch of heavy IKEA furniture into the building and helped me load them into the elevator - Due to my schedule, I'm not able to get home during office hours on most days & pick up packages at the apartment concierge, so Robert from the Concierge was kind enough to drop several packages off for me to my apartment. All it took was an email. In addition, I've run into some helpful and friendly neighbors as well. All in all, a good place to call home. read more

I range from "Happy" to "Amazed" with everything I've experienced living here at 2000 Post for the last year. The office staff is always available and helpful. Whether its just picking up your packages or getting additional information. The handyman service alone is a major topic that must be touched on. This is the first time I've rented a place where I could rely on the landlord or building service to do _all_ maintenance to the apartment (not just emergency, legally enforced, building maintenance). 2000 Post has a system where you can put in a service request to have something fixed. From major issues like a broken appliance to even just small things like a loose cabinet hinge. And my experience has been that any issue will be dealt with within 24 hours. But usually its taken care of on the same day. I've never experienced service like that before from a place I've rented, and its quite amazing. Chris has been especially helpful. He's gone the extra mile for me personally several times. The rent here only seems expensive until you check the surrounding property values and average rents. Then you find that its actually quite competitive for Lower Pac Heights. And when you add the additional amenities provided by the location, that only sweetens the deal further. I've heard all the horror stories about living in San Francisco, and this place has been a refreshing change from the bad experiences of the past. My only disappointment, is that the next place I live wont be able to match up to the high expectations that 2000 Post has given me. read more

While I was actively living here, I think I would have gone for four stars. The amenities are nice (free yoga (now replaced with something else I think), a gym, a pool, sometimes cookies and coffee downstairs), and the apartment itself had new appliances, clean carpeting. The office staff was attentive. Even the fire alarms that went off every couple months weren't enough to knock off another star. However. It's now been almost a year since my partner and I moved out. During our stay, we endured one rent increase of about $100/mo, but when they tried to hit us again with another $200/mo increase, that was enough. We moved out. And then they charged us for cleaning the apartment, AFTER we had spent days making the place spic-and-span to avoid the fee. Post-2000 Post, I can say it really wasn't all that. We pay less for an equally nice, rent-stabilized apartment closer to my workplace. When I told my new property management company, Chandler, that we had a problem, they fixed it equally promptly. With lower rent, I can afford to join a pilates or yoga studio should I so desire. If you're looking for a new place, I'd say stay clear. It's just not worth the hassle that comes at the end. And trust me, after seeing them raise your rent to a ridiculously high price, there will be an end. You will want to move. Save yourself a headache and the cost of moving twice instead of once, and go elsewhere. read more

Don't trust the management Especially Gunther: minimal construction in 2015? Sure, having just left a construction war zone in the East Bay, we trusted Gunther, only to be blatantly lied to. This place is hardly luxury, watch out for the area at night, unsafe. read more

I've been here for a year and change, and it's been pretty good. Management here has generally been very good and responsive, and despite the lack of rent control the rent hikes have not been unreasonable. Apartments facing the courtyard are quietest of course. The gym facilities are pretty good and the outdoor pool is heated; the hot tub holds 4 people comfortably and a few more if you're friendly. Parking isn't unreasonable for the area and the garage is secure. Apartments have been upgraded and are fairly nice. Security is pretty good; all doors require a magnet swipe key, the garage is on separate magnet-keys from the building, and there's a security guard on duty at night. I came here in a desperate search for wheelchair-accessible housing, and have liked my stay. The complex is all accessible although some of the doors are heavy and could use push bars. Any time I've had to ask management for something - appliance repair or replacement - the maintenance guys have been fast and efficient and helpful. Front desk does package acceptance, which is handy as heck. The fire alarm system has just been upgraded and re-done. Avoid apartments on the sides facing south - there's a lot of noise from the playing fields and gym over there. North and east are fine, west can be a little annoying as several buildings on Post are being worked on and it gets noisy. Interior windows are best. The complex has studios, one and two bedrooms; the one br is about 650 square feet with a galley kitchen and a generous walk-through closet between bedroom and bathroom. Pricey, but so's everything in this town. Street parking isn't always safe but is generally availalble and the Japantown parking garage is nearby. Japantown itself is three blocks away, as are the clubs and restaurants in Fillmore (and the area is improving). The building offers short-term rental apartments for a very decent price; if you want a hotel alternative for guests, this is a good one. read more

After having spent the last few years living in San Francisco, I can easily say without a doubt that this property, along with its amenities and staff, are of the highest quality! I would also like to send a special thanks to Gunther and Danielle! From day one, they have taken care of us in helping to understand everything about the community to even surprising us with wonderful balloons and candy on our Birthdays! I cannot thank the 2000 Post team enough for providing us with such a wonderful place to call home! Also, the neighborhood has some of the most amazing shopping and food spots in the city! This was the first building I lived in upon moving to SF late in 2001. This apartment complex is really nice, has lots of parking, a pool and a hot tub, a nice work out room and sauna too. The only complaint I have is that it's not exactly a typical SF housing as it's a bit hotel / dorm style but if you are looking for amenities galore in a decent city location you could do a lot worse. Since I can no longer afford living in this building I"m entertaining offers from sugar mama types who would be willing to subsidize my living arrangements here. This of course would be a mutually beneficial arrangement, I mean you'd get to come over anytime to use the pool and hot tub! read more

Just crossed the 6 month mark here at 2000 Post and I'm loving it! The building is clean, the location is awesome and it's pet friendly! I love that my dog walker can just check in and out with the front desk everyday and it's so helpful to have someone to receive my packages! If you are interested in living here, Danielle will make the process as painless as possible! She has been amazingly helpful since day 1. My closet light broke. It literally fell out of the ceiling so I put in a maintenance request online through the resident portal. Being such a large apartment complex, I didn't think this would be taken care of in a timely manner. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The maintenance man, Lenny showed up the next day right on time! He was super nice, professional, and fixed our light in less than ten minutes. Overall, I've had a mostly positive experience with 2000 post, probably 4 star worthy. But the maintenance crew is amazing and deserves all the credit in the world. Definitely 5 stars to them. I have been a resident here for a little over 6 months and the experience has been great so far. The staff at 2000 Post is simply amazing. A special shout out to Danielle who works with you on any issues that you many have and Maria who is always smiling. The apartment complex is central to everything,there is a gym, pool, hot tub and sauna here.The neighborhood has some great eating joints and if you are a movie buff you shall love the Kabuki theatre. read more
