I opted for the Matcha strawberry milk tea latte with organic milk, 75% sweetness, and less ice. I like that they offer customization. The drink was ready a few minutes later. I originally grabbed a skinny straw and realized I needed a wider one since the fresh macerated strawberries would get stuck in the straw. Luckily, we hadn't gone very far and it worked out. Walked in and was completely ignored. The cashier turned her back to me the entire time, and crossed her arms as she stared at the wall. I was the only customer there. It was fine. Good tea, nothing special, zero service as you are met with an overly sensitive touch screen for ordering. We were the only people in there and were not acknowledged at all. Other than Urth Caffe, not much is open on Sunday evenings for dessert, so we landed here. It was nice to have the place to ourselves and to have access to a restroom, but that's about it. Wanted a drink after lunch and this was the closest spot but even in this summer heat the 5 min walk was brutal. I've been here a few times and I really like their interior. This most recent visit I went for a coconut mango milk tea with almond milk 50% sweet. The mango definitely provided the extra sweetness needed. I've also had their dragonfruit tea and matcha mango which are nice and refreshing as well. First time trying this place as it is close to my home. I first tried to order ahead online, but there were tips & convenience fee added to the price which pushed the drink to over $10. As an Asian, I'm no stranger to boba tea, and I can tell you that's probably the most expensive cup of tea for me. So I decided to call in to place a pick up order. I walked over 5 minutes later, it was ready on the counter for me. I walked over to the cashier to pay for it. I ordered a Four Seans Fruit Tea with boba, the girl rang it up for me. When it was time for me to pay, I've noticed on the screen there was added tip of 15%, 18%, or 20%. There was no way for me to opt out or change it. I would glad to pay tips for services provided at restaurants. But come on, for a to-go order of boba tea, when are we obligated to pay tips, for what services provided? ? I love it when a boba shop knows what they're doing. 7 Tea offers a variety of drinks to choose from and they have non-dairy milk alternatives, which is a big reason for me to choose this spot. I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with half ice, half sweet, and oat milk. Drink took a bit to come out but it was perfectly well made. Not too sweet for my palette either. We came in to try their coconut puddings with the fruit toppings they advertise - definitely the sort of dessert items we love. And while the pudding was excellent, ours didn't come with any fruit at all - only a very sweet jelly on top. We were pretty disappointed - but I'm only taking off one star bc the pudding was great and service was good as well. You can see from my photos how they picture their puddings and even their sample pudding on the counter shows everything loaded with a fruit topping - even the mango - which is the flavor we ordered. I see other reviewers' photos showing fruit on their pudding so I'm not sure what happened - maybe they ran out of mango? The pudding itself is coconut based and jello-like in consistency with an excellent flavor and not too sweet. It would be fantastic with real fruit on top! They also offer boba teas and slushies and the like. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shop is super clean with various types of nice seating and decor and in a great location. Would be an excellent place to hang out and people watch. Prices are reasonable and they do have a yelp check in offer for 10% but it only applies to online orders which is buried in the fine print. The consistency was great and coconut flavor was terrific. I have had a strawberry smoothie too on another visit and it was so good because it had real strawberries. So yummy! They also ran out of boba on a Saturday afternoon which is understandable but still disappointing. I ordered a Jasmine Green Milk Tea, and it was definitely more on the milky side. My first time here based on my dear friend's recommendation. Thank you my friend. I have past by this 7 Tea on a few occasions, but never got a chance to check it out until now. It's a pretty nifty place. The setup is different than most boba joints. They have merchandise for purchase and games for play while you're enjoying your boba drink. Their selection of drinks are similar to other tea places with the exception of their Taro Milk Tea that is made with real taro. And that's what I got. Ridiculously delicious! I wished there was more fresh taro LOL. This is the most authentic taro drink I've ever drank... it's the real deal folks! You may choose your milk type... I think there were 4 types of milk... soy milk, almond milk, oat milk, and organic milk. I just stayed with the chosen milk for the drink... organic LOL. Staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is nice--good place to hunker down with a book or laptop and a drink. (I still don't understand why most milk tea / boba places, including 7 Tea, use impersonal ordering kiosks, but I digress.) I'm glad I found this cute little place in downtown Pasadena! I'm not from the area at all but was just around here to grab some dinner and dessert afterwards. I saw coconut pudding was on the menu and decided to walk on over. They have a variety of drinks and flavors and mixes that you don't see at your usual boba spots. I ordered a matcha mango milk tea with agar boba and regular sweetness and my bf ordered a coffee milk tea also with regular sweetness. I had never seen mango mixed with matcha because places always do strawberry. I tasted the mango at first before it was mixed and I loved that fruity flavor, but after mixing it up, it just tasted like matcha which was yummy too. My bf enjoyed the flavor of his coffee milk tea and said it was just right. I tried the coconut pudding with diced strawberries on top and I thought it was a light and tasty little treat. I've never actually ordered coconut pudding anywhere but I've seen it on menus. We sat and drank and played a game that was on the table that I've actually never seen before so that was cool! 4.5 stars for 7Tea! This is probably our new favorite drink place even if it's a bit pricey. Drinks are solid using quality ingredients and they also let you choose from almond milk, organic coconut milk, oat milk or organic milk. We recently got the mango chia (oat milk, 50% sweet) and the snow white (oat milk, 50% sweet) and both were so tasty! We also like how they incorporate a decent amount of real fruit in the drinks so that the drinks are bright and refreshing. We'll definitely be coming around here a lot more, especially in the summertime. read more
