I could never "wine" about this view

Just stopped in for a quick sip before dinner at Cascades. Amazing view and pretty solid selection of wines by the glass. Although the Chateauneuf de Pape was out (sad face) I will try again next time. (It's rare to see this offered by the glass. Service was friendly and fast.

I visited this wine bar while in Estes park for the day. It was such a cute find! I love that you are able to still walk around the spooky Stanley hotel and then sit in the very classy bar area after. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. We had the smaller option of the charcuterie boards and it was a perfect amount for three of us to snack on. I highly recommend if you want a nice view of the mountains, good service and a classy feel!

Wow, a 5 star experience for sure. If you visit the Stanley Hotel you MUST stop here for a glass of wine and a snack. The staff were so accommodating- helpful with wine recommendations, supplied us with gluten free crackers, and were overall very friendly and fun. We tried a few wines and settled on a nice bottle, I don't think there's any wrong options in terms of wine here. The charcuterie board was also very tasty and had a nice variety.

We absolutely loved it here! Sit outside on the porch and take in the view or inside by the warm fireplace, at the bar, any of the great interior seating areas! Love love love the vibe! The service was personal and welcoming, people watching exceptional and the view! We had the small sharing tray and SO much fruit, cheeses, meats, olives.. so much it was our dinner! Yes it is a bit pricey but yiu are at the Stanley!

Came here tonight after my boyfriend wanted to see the Stanley Hotel. The Whiskey Bar was packed, We stopped at the 217 Wine Bar. We were lucky enough to have Carrie as our bartender. She was absolutely AMAZING! Her greeting all customers with enthusiasm and said goodbye to everyone as it was her home. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and had great customer service. The Chenin Blanc was superb! My boyfriend had the late harvest Sweet Riesling which was excellent. Highly recommend!

Love this place . They are super friendly and the wine is good. The staff is AMAZING! All of this is made for a great experience. The only thing is the Stanley Charc Bite, which is the small $28, is chefs choice. I feel that I should get a small choice for that price so it isn't what is about to expire. But it was fun and I would do it again. We were able to sit outside in the shade, which was awesome. Love it!

Can't believe this new wine bar at the Stanley Hotel isn't more busy! High ceilings, way better view and ambience than Cascades. A serious looking axe behind the bar as well for Shining vibes. We tried two red blends and they were luscious! You can take your wine anywhere on the property. In the afternoon, go after the great view of Long's peak and the continental divide on the sunny porch. Ask for David to give you the piano tour (preview: hundred year old Steinway tuned by John Philip Sousa and acoustics 101) or the geography quiz. You are not just here for wine, you are here to enjoy the history and culture of the region! Have fun! Finish a bottle and sign it for posterity

Love the staff. Interesting history. Ask bartenders to share about it. Fun place to hang out with friends. Charcuterie is excellent.

Honestly, just go to hang out with the bartender Carrie, and take in the beautiful views while sipping from a extensive collection of wines.

The staff is outstanding--everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. You can tell they really care about what they're building here. The wine selection is excellent, and their flights are a steal at just $14. They also offer meads, mulled cider, and an entirely new food menu that pairs perfectly with the drinks. There's clearly a lot of thought going into the experience now. We also heard a new deck area is coming soon, plus plans for a paella night--which honestly sounds amazing and gives us even more reason to come back. If you haven't been to Snowy Peaks recently, it's absolutely worth another visit. They're doing great things and it's becoming a must-stop spot in Estes Park.

Our kids (14 & 12) are experienced pool players; we typically play together as a family or let them play a game on their own while we enjoy a few rounds. We've been in 4 times this week alone and were welcomed every time. Today, we were abruptly told they couldn't play due to a 16+ rule by a young bartender who has always allowed us to play. He mentioned that the owner doesn't like kids playing and there is a sign. While there is a sign posted behind the wall and not clearly marked, it has been completely ignored by staff and other families for the years we've been coming here, and certainly wasn't mentioned during our other visits this week. Even today, it seemed to be selectively enforced. If a family is respectful, knows how to use the equipment properly, and has been welcomed all week, there should be some common sense and hospitality applied--especially for repeat customers. To allow it for days and then suddenly change the rules on our 5th visit is just poor hospitality and frankly feels slightly discriminatory.
