    Carrot cake with ice cream
    Jen C.

Had an incredible dinner experience here. Had reservations but came in early and was seated right away. Originally I wanted to sit outside but since it was a little windy, I switched to indoors. Our server was super friendly and made sure we enjoyed every second of our meal. He checked in the right amount of times and kept our waters filled. We ordered the lobster bisque, bison short ribs, and the carrot cake for dessert. Wow.. every dish was delicious. The bisque had plenty of lobster chunks and was silky and savory. The bison was tender and soft and came apart like butter. And the carrot cake was super decadent and just sweet enough. Nicely paired with the ice cream. We were celebrating an anniversary and they made it very special. Can't beat the view either. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Estes Park!

Food, view, and service were all amazing! This was our first stop to eat on our first day of vacation and we do not regret it!

We visited Ember while staying at the Estes Park Resort. While we had a very satisfying meal I'm not sure that I'd come here if staying elsewhere. Keep in mind it's offseason so the place was quiet. Night so no views of the lake. If staying at the resort it's a no brainer to have a meal here. Dinner, table for 3. I had the bison short rib with garlic mashed potatos. A hearty dish, delicate short rib, I dare say I enjoyed the mash potatoes the most. Also ordered was the Bistro filet which was ok but not wow and the steak frites. The steak frites was tender with a generous portion of garlic Parmesan fries. This one iId recommend. Drinks were excellent. I tasted two old fashions with their house barrel of Elijah Craig whisky just to be sure, yes they were excellent. The modern mountain decor is pleasant, a bit dark at our table. Service was exceptional. Prices are on the higher side but not out of line for Estes.

We were here for a weekend and wanted to find a restaurant we can reserve in advance - and sure enough this is one of the few restaurants in town that takes reservations. The service was okay, could have been better. We arrived early and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our table. Not only that but our server could have also provider better service as we were waiting on water and our check for a long time. The ambiance was very nice, warm, and inviting which was perfect for a group of people I was with. The food was okay. I got the queso, salsa, and Guacamole dip as an appetizer. The Guac was good but the cheese and salsa had a consistency I wasn't a fan of. For the entree, I got streak frites and it was average - good but not great, might even say a little bland. Overall, I'm glad I tried this place but I'm not sure if I would come back.

Lobster bisque soup and a view!

KILLER VIEWS!! Golf club crowd after happy hour and quite busy on Saturday evening. There was an event upstairs which made it very loud but we opted to sit outside on their gorgeous deck until a rain storm forced us inside. The staff were pleasant and our server Vlad was very kind to find us a seat with a good view. I love the chilled glass water bottles they bring and the smaller glasses to refill as they don't crowd the table. It felt very bougie and fancy but the food was truly amazing!! Everything looked and smelled great and it came out of the kitchen piping hot and beautifully plated. My sea bass was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Hubby had the fried chicken and loved it. I had to try his fried brussel sprouts as they were fantastic. The lobster bisque was very good with lots of chunks of lobster in it. I'd love to return and perhaps even stay at the hotel!!

Really stunning restaurant right on the water. Huge windows overlooking the view. Dining room is gorgeous and the booths are really fun. Food was delicious! probably one of the best potato soups i've ever had. Was a little disappointed in the vegetarian entree options, hoped for something more elevated than a veggie burger. but it was a fantastic burger ! Service was great, very good recommendations.

Has a great dining experience at Ember. We had a group reservation and were seated timely. The lobster bisque was delicious and had plenty of lobster pieces . The bison flautas were very flavorful. I really enjoyed the selection of food options from the menu. Everyone in my group seemed to be pleased with their food.

Let's talk all the good things about our trip first! The views on the patio were amazing. Incredibly hot at first, with no sunshade, but thankfully the sun ducked behind a few clouds and provided some relief. We ordered only an app and two cocktails, so are speaking only to this. If you can imagine, two cocktails and cauliflower bites set us back $65. Whoa. What's worse? The Cauli bites were incredibly bland. Our waitress, Candice, although kind, didn't ask why over 75% of this dish was left when we declined a to go box. We asked for salt and pepper in a Hail Mary attempt to help them out, but no joy. Total fail. A few other small details got my attention - the plates she brought us were dirty and she forgot who ordered what. Mayne I'm grumpy today, but it was odd. She wasn't attentive and we watched every couple around us being attended to (by another waiter) while we sat in a in odd cone of silence. I'm not sure $65 is worthy of two drinks and an app? Even for Estes Park, it felt ridiculous.

Had a wonderful dinner on the patio overlooking the water and the mountains. We shared the mango shrimp, and the ordered the steak frites and lobster Mac and cheese. For dessert we had the carrot cake. Every bit of it was wonderful, and the portions were very generous, and we had an excellent view and service. I would highly recommend.

We had a good time as a family staying at the Resort here. We all ate more than our share. We started with the fruit and cheese platter. It was large and if you are looking for charcuterie... this is not it. It had one crustini, pre-sliced white cheese and the fruit was like an oversized kids meal... which was perfect for the kid. We also got a burger and then steaks. The steak sauce wasn't very good but the mashed potatoes were delicious. Smooth and even and plenty of butter. The squash was good but not evenly cooked or cut. We got a few drinks. The spiked cider and Moscow mule (in copper mug) were good. The manhattan and Penicillin? (sour) were better. Or that's second drink talking. Service was very good. Our server was conscious of allergies, attentive on drinks, and polite on pricing. It was busy. We had to wait 15 minutes and when we got there around 7:30 the other tables had obviously been there... more than a little while. A little stumbling and dropping keys... there wasn't even a wedding that night. I think they are adding room service and I think that would be a good addition in more than one way.

The cocktails get my win for Ember. A creative menu and they take care to make them with great attention. The food is admittedly delicious as well. The one loss in stars is honestly for the price. They have plenty of tourists willing to splurge on vacation, but as a local we can really only show up for an anniversary or special occasion, even though it does not have a fine dining atmosphere to match the prices... but if you are on vacation looking to drop some dough, the food and drinks are great!

Very cute restaurant in Estes park. Service is very very good. They were accommodating w 2 toddlers in our group. Food is decent - especially for mountain town standards - I really liked the lobster bisque and short rib. The fried chicken was ok

There were a couple of mix-ups with our order, including Mezcal which has a very distinct taste accidentally being added to my margarita, and some incorrect side dishes but the staff handled everything quickly and professionally. Since the restaurant had only recently reopened with a new menu, the mistakes were understandable. I ordered the Smashburger with fries, and my friend had the chicken fajita sandwich with a salad. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable for the area. The rooftop offers beautiful views of Estes Park and is conveniently located right in the shopping district. The only downside was the orange barrier coverings around parts of the rooftop while renovations were being completed. They blocked some of the views and took away a bit of the ambiance. Once those renovations are finished, this will be an even better spot. Great food, attentive service, and a fantastic location, I would definitely visit again once the renovations are completed.

We sat down and about 10 minutes later, a couple sat behind us and our waitress visited and brought water to their table first instead of ours. In addition, another couple behind us was not seen by any waiter/waitress and had to ask a worker (who might have been an assistant manager? Although, not clear what his position was) if they can order with him. Overall service felt scattered, a bit slow overall, and unprofessional. Food: I ordered the tex mex bowl with barbacoa. It tasted as expected, nothing spectacular. However, there was a massive piece of plastic in my food. I let the waitress know and she apologized on behalf of the kitchen. I kept the meal because I hate waste and I didn't see any other plastic pieces in the food. Right after I found the plastic, I also discovered a bone in the meat. It was big enough to hurt a tooth if I had bit down on it but thankfully I spit it out before I chewed my food completely. While a bone might be normal to find in meat, I was certainly unhappy that now two objects were in this food. I was never comped for my meal and the manager never visited my table to apologize. I only write reviews if I had a fantastic experience or when I feel the need to warn others about the restaurant. I recommend choosing another restaurant before choosing this one if you prefer quality food and service.

The steak was a tad overcooked beyond medium rare. There was a lot of gristle to cut through. The steak knives were not sharp, and made cutting the meat that was a bit tough difficult. It seemed underseasoned. A great steak I'd eat without sauce. This one I should have requested sauce. The baked potato was small. The sour cream was stingy. The skin was tough, as if it had been cooking for a long time. I was really wanting a big baked potato with butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon, and chives. This one was disappointing. My crab cakes were the hero of the meal -- very tasty and moist. The wild game brats were disappointing. It was a selection of several different kinds of game meat, but the pieces were small and too spicy. The cheese on the board had been cut into squares and left out a bit too long. The asparagus was thick and long. Could have been cooked a little bit longer to make them more tender. The brussel sprouts were overcooked. Some people prefer them a little toasted on the outside, though. I didn't like the shrimp sauce. The shrimp were small. There was bread soaked in the sauce that actually made the bread taste bad. The shrimp were not shelled.
