Sometimes they have a food vendor come in or in the summer, they have the open area across from the brewery to enjoy for outdoor enjoyment (aka beer garden) where you can also bring your dog. From a beer perspective, we love trying all their beers which are fairly low in abv and very drinkable. They don't do flights but do half pours. Favorites are the American kestrel , any of the ipas really are great. They have a good variety of beers in cans to go as well. Kid / family friendly brewery. Bring a board game if you plan to stay long.

The food was OK, but it sat next to the bar for at least 10 minutes before someone brought it to us. On a Friday night, you'd think they'd be a bit more in tune with the paying customers.

My favorite was the Good 'Ol Boy cocktail, but I also recommend the New England Sour--it's like a Whiskey Sour but with Mulled Wine and Cocoa on top. As for atmosphere and service, both are great! The interior decor is more like a cozy (but slightly modern) mountain house library (an atmosphere you might expect in a hip Brooklyn bar), and it's very inviting! And the bartender and servers are amazing and really friendly. One cool thing that I learned is their gratuity system is set up to help local non profits and charities, with a new charity receiving all (possibly a portion) of the tips. We are three New Yorkers with lots of opinions and high standards when it comes to what we eat. Brix exceeded those standards. We have a ski condo on Stratton and don't often make the drive into Rutland, but any time we do, it's guaranteed we will be eating at Brix.
