Is there anything better than a fish fry on a Sunday morning after church? Well yes, actually. You could have an all-you-can-eat fish fry in small town North Carolina, and if you are a tiny bit heathen like myself, then you might even beat the church crowd and gorge upon heaping piles of trout, croaker, and/or baby flounder. I went with all-you-can-eat baby flounder for the absurdly low price of $6.99. This meal comes with slaw, a baked potato, and unlimited hush puppies. Speaking of the hush puppies, they are absolutely divine here. Piping hot with just the right amount of sugar, these slivers of corn meal heaven were the perfect complement to the nicely battered cuts of flounder. The fried fish? Perfectly crisp without adding too many spices to the batter so that the taste of the baby flounder from the Carolina shore could shine. Fried seafood at it's finest. You loose a star for no beer and wine, and I'm still kinda undecided on putting sweet pickle in cole slaw, but all the slaw bowls were empty at the end of the meal. Came here for a Relay For Life fundraiser. The meal came with fried trout, hush puppies, fries, and sweet cole slaw. Trout - fresh flavor, tender and tasty. It reminds me so much of the trout my dad used to catch and fry up for us when I was coming up in VA. Hushpuppies - sweet and subtly delicious. Good by themselves or with condiments. Fries - that wonderful kind that pairs perfectly with seafood. Would have liked some Old Bay on them though. Cole Slaw - sweet with sweet pickle. Not overly mayonnaisey or watery. Just right. I would like to come back to try other things. I am rating based on what this restaurant does have, not what it doesn't have. read more

This place was amazing. The food tasted fresh... though I suspect it was frozen.. very good wait staff and quick service. The only thing I did not like was the restroom. Very dirty and out dated....also had a particular funky smell. I felt ill when I came out. Also should be two cashiers working! There was a big line of people waiting to pay. Most were waiting on to go orders and those were backed up on the window sill. Should be better organised. Other than that, great food! read more

I've definitely had better. And for $85 for 3 people, we could have had it. The portions are decent, but the flavor was lacking in almost everything we tried. The only great thing about it were the hush puppies and the coleslaw. I definitely could've used a beer or glass of wine to wash it all down, but they have neither. read more

Great service - great food. As good as most beach places for the same kind of fare. I grabbed the combo of 4 to give a fair try. Fried flounder was awesome! Fried scallops were equally good. Boiled shrimp (hot) was cooked fine but could have used a little seasoning IMO. Deviled crab was spot on. Some of the best slaw ive had next to homemade. Who knew fried seafood could attract so much attention? The line to get in was out the door but the turnover is pretty large. This is a level above Long John Silvers and a level below Red Lobster. What to expect: concrete slabs for walls, long-cafeteria style tables, and food that comes out in trays. You get bottomless trays of hush puppies (which are AH-MAZING) and cole slaw with every order. When I asked my husband what's good here, he said "FRIED." I should have taken his advice. Instead I decided to go the broiled route and got broiled flounder, scallops, and shrimp. My flounder had bones in it, the scallops and fish got cold fast, and everything had old bay seasoning which overpowered the flavor of the fish. The baked potato was good (but how can you mess up a baked potato?) I tried my husband's fried plate (fried shrimp, fried scallops, and fried clams) and it was good, much better than mine. I have never been impressed with 220 seafood. Don't let the full parking lot deceive you. It seems every time I go in here the place is packed with the same old folks that you saw last week. More of a social gathering place for old folks to talk than a restaurant. The food is mediocre, and when you factor in what you're paying for it... It quickly becomes awful. Spent $15 a person to eat cold steak fries (no seasoning or salt), MAYBE 8 small fried shrimp and hush puppies. Again, don't let the full lot fool you, keep on driving. read more

The food has been good 48 times out of 50, eating in and mostly to go. I have to prompt them on how I want each item each plate plus always double check it before you leave you will be good. My biggest issue is I never know when I may want 220, always spending 50 plus er order, bt I can never pull up a menu online!!!!!!!!!!!!HUGE AGGRAVATION! Why must I take a pic of an everchanging to go menu to store in my phone to spend 275 a month???? Also the sizes of the order and price dont make sense, order a big 220, one trout potatoe and slaw, order a 2 piece trout, same plate???? IM CONFUSED ON THAT and one is 2 bucks more than the other. If you like scallops, this is the place to go! The flounder is to die for. This place knows how to cook seafood. Always perfect and never over cooked. The cole slaw is cold and crisp and made daily with great hush puppies. Wait staff is superior. Love this place! read more

For the price and the quality you can not beat it. Unless you don't mind the hour drive to Raleigh or Durham it is the best in the area. read more

Consistently good.We especially like the fried scallops. The coleslaw, baked potatoes, hush puppies, and sweet tea are always good.We have had the oysters, fish,shrimp,and crab legs too.We always are glad we chose to eat here.It can't be beat for the prices too.None of the chains come close in taste or value. read more

We went here due to the reviews...It was terrible. I ordered shrimp and fry basket. The shrimp was so bad that I had to spit it out in a napkin as pushed the plate away. My husband, ordered the steak and shimp. He couldn't eat it either. He said the steak tasted freezer burnt and was not medium well but medium rare. My mother in law tried to ray her catfish and fry platter and after 2 bites had to push it away. We paid with including our fountain drinks (which were the only good out of this experience) $54.00 for really bad food. The waitress was kind and offered replacement meals but we refused. The place is really busy and I can see why. For the 220 Special @ $2.99 it is cheaper than a Burger King or a McDonald's meal. We will NEVER go back. read more

Usually good but not tonight. Received cold spongy fried oysters and by the time the waitress came back I was almost finished. Manager offered to make more and I didn't want them at that time. Manager refused to reduce bill at all. Customer service was not a priority. read more

Just finished at this restaurant, the service was fast and the server was excellent I think her name was Theresa , the food was ok , however when it came to settle the bill the big lady at the register and lady at credit card machine was very rude and not customer friendly I won't be back for this reason read more

My husband and I love this place! We go at least once a month from Raleigh just to get good sea food! Love these guys!
