(Pro tip stay away from the elevators in the parking structures that can become smelly - ugh). Overall going here is always an experience.

I go here many times…read more Far too many times. Each visit feels like a magical town straight out of a fantasy book. The fresh scent of seafood draws you into the pier, with the soft sounds of the birds above and from the thrashing waves of the sea below. The pier is a nice place to walk around and relax, sometimes a little bit crowded. And if you are lucky, some days might have less people. But regardless, Redondo beach has some of the best buildings. It's a good place to go fishing outside or buying fish. They have a variety of markets selling fish out there. Although I can say I had a good experiance, I will admit that it can be pricey. The shops have very expensive souvenirs unlike the last time I visited long ago. I haven't been to the restaurants yet, well some of them. But I have tried the churros and the Chinese food. The churros tasted good, my favorite item to buy whenever I visit. And for anyone who wants to save, it would be a really good snack to try when visiting. The other foods I tried tasted good, but I feel like the pricing is a bit too much. I will rate this a five because despite the high pricing, me and my family will continue to come to Redondo Beach for a nice walk. Thank you for the experiance.

Strand Bikes in Hermosa Beach Go see Jeff at Strand bikes in…read moreHermosa Beach. I bought my son an electric bike from Strand bikes in August of 2025. Jeff is incredibly knowledgeable on all bikes. He educated my son and I both on everything with the bike. He put it together himself at the shop. After a month we bought it back to the shop for a tune up make sure everything is working up to par. Jeff has gone above and beyond in service a few times he came over to the house so I did t have to bring the bike in did a few repairs at the house and other times picked the bike up and dropped it off. I am so grateful I bought the bike from a shop where I can call up when something goes wrong or with a question. So much better than buying on line. Very happy with our experience

You get up close to the raw beauty and it feels like its own private beach (albeit super rocky). This is the place for surfers. Wouldn't recommend for walkers or hikers... not sure how this is on all trails, but still beautiful.

Walking down is a pretty steep decline, so be sure to watch your step. When you get down to the beach, you'll notice how clean and clear the water is and I was amazed by the number of tide pools there were! I was able to see so many crawfish, little baby crabs, and even a starfish! I've never seen so many sea creatures up close and personal so it was definitely a cool experience. It's really easy to spend a few hours here just taking everything in. We came at around 12pm on a Saturday and the trail wasn't too crowded. The trail itself is also very clean and not difficult; the most physically demanding part is walking back up to the parking lot from the beach because it's all incline, however, I think it's doable for most people. There is a parking lot that costs $12 for parking the entire day.

Shoutout to Lifeguard Conner!!! Update in their policy does…read morenot allow half dome tent looking shades. I even checked Yelp and their website before coming but didn't realize this and that was the only thing I brought! I was coming alone with my little kid so needed to keep the baggage to minimum... The lifeguards approached me to tell me the new policy at which point I was getting sad that we had no shade, after circling 20 min around for parking etc, getting a little tired. They apparently have shades for borrowing but they run out early on a summer day like this and one guard said they are certainly all out since the morning. (It was past noon). But Conner went above and beyond to go double check anyways, found and brought one back, with a shovel. Which was too heavy for me to do anything with, but he picked it up like a fork and shoveled away the sand, and expertly set up the beach umbrella. Thank you thank you thank you, Conner, you totally saved our day!! Lots of space for little ones to play, wide shallow area, ok and safe for kid and adults who can't swim. We stayed all afternoon and my kid had a total blast. The only thing is, you better have some kind of shade, and hew, with the kindness of one of the staff, we did!

The Seaside Lagoon is a saltwater facility, which serves as a seasonal public swim pool with an…read moreentrance fee, and it usually opens from late May to early September. The water that fills this pool comes from the other side of the breakwater, I found it's very quiet to walk round during offseason time.

I only grew up 25 minutes from here in SouthWest Los Angeles near Baldwin Hills. Nice part of Redondo is Topaz Beach. Less tourist attraction, and easier to find parking. What a fun stroll on Manhattan Ave! Love seeing the local small businesses thriving together. We saw some beautiful homes, too. Area is so clean. We didn't stay too long, hence, we did not get to visit many more shops and eateries. I have a few biz that I would love to support the next time I'm back here such as Manhattan Beach Creamery, Caffe Luxxe, Pages Bookstore, and other shops that cross my path. Several public parking lots are located close by. These include the Upper Pier Lots, Lower Pier Lots, and Lot 2. Street parking is also available. If you're lucky, you may get a parking spot. Come early!

Wow this is one of the biggest, nicest and cleanest beach towns i've seen! One a Tuesday night my…read moresister and bro-in-law took me here for an evening stroll followed by a great seafood dinner. There's tons of surfing, beach volleyball, and plenty of paved areas just to walk and smell that fresh air. The area was also super clean and seemed safe. I have not visited Venice Beach in over a decade but folks tell me its gone downhill. Manhattan Beach also has tons of shops, bars, and restaurants mixed in with residences overlooking the beach. You can also see Chevron's El Segundo Refinery along this beach. The workers there must be among the happiest since they can just decompress at the beach after work!
