food was actually not that bad. filling and did its job. took a bit to prepare and the system to notify customers who were away from the restaurant section (e.g. playing pickleball on the other building or on the outdoor courts) about their order being complete was not the best... Nonetheless, the waitress / host was very sweet and ensured that we got everything squared away when we took initiative to pick up our meals. turns out that they can serve it to us, but need to be notified, which we did. so, it would be nice if they took the initiative, though... service was great and I am glad that staff is able to participate to ensure that all customers have someone who can play with them. instructions provided on which courts to use and where to eat. I think that it is cute that there are local competitions for pickleball and that there was diversity in the courts. they also have the typical backyard games available, which is neat way to pass time while you wait to play pickleball, or want to do something different. shoutout the front desk guy, Alex, for being so welcoming to my party and me, too! :D read more

READ FULL REVIEW - DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. OWNERS & MANAGEMENT ARE THIEVES. Their payment system is flawed & their customer service is abhorrent. I booked 2 separate 1 hour slots, on different outdoor courts. It showed the booking went through. After getting there, it was made apparent the 2nd booking actually had not gone through, despite showing so on the online schedule. Our 2nd court had been taken by another group due to the faulty payment system, so I decided to book 2 more hours indoor, in addition to our 1st hour outside. We played for maybe 20 minutes inside during our 2nd hour, so I requested to not be charged for the 3rd hour. Which I was assured I wouldn't be. Despite that assurance, and that employee supposedly leaving a note with the manager, I was still charged. They have no manager on site during peak times that are able to make decisions, so I left a message following the experience with the 'manager' Carol Peebles. She never returned my call after a week of patience. Today, I rang her 3 times back to back, finally got an answer. I briefly explained the situation, and was told I'd get a call back. An hour later. Nothing. Called her 10 times, nothing. We shouldn't have to chase a manager down when we've essentially at this point been stolen from & ignored. I gave her plenty of grace before writing this review, but I guess I'll have to drive all the way to Lacey & confront them directly to get refunded. Also, they're incredibly understaffed, & the food was bland. We would have come back if it wasn't SO mismanaged & their customer service wasn't so absolute trash. Hope they go under. Came here for a 40th Birthday get together. The bar is in the middle. Not connected to the tennis area. Service was okay. Food was okay.

The establishment was nice, the crew was kind. All that being said we had reserved a party on a Friday night with it being 70 degrees outside and they only have 2 servers. We had no service for our party. We felt completely ignored which was fully due to under staffing. Please find another venue for your gathering. read more

Nestled in one of my favorite growing areas locally 23 kitchens is a pretty fun kind of place . Set up with Pickleball courts and backyard games I got this hint that maybe I was a bit out of niche customer category. Not as a negative, this place would be an amazing draw for the 18-34 year old crowd. It'd be great for group gatherings, and get togethers with friends. We got the chimchurri Street tacos, a side of fries and the 23k slider (bbq) which were awesome! My wife enjoyed her street tacos but said it was a bit too pricey for what she got. The fries are tasty and you get plenty of them. The sliders were tasty as well as with any slider 3 feels like a starter, would easily have 3 more, but opted to behave myself. All in all a fun place, determined to be a part of the local scene 23 kitchens achieves what they set out to do, be a fun place, with fun food and plenty to do. Worth a visit and probably slightly higher recommendations when you're be able to be outside in the summer. read more

This is a very cool place to hang out, have a drink, play some corn hole and maybe some pickleball (if your Into that). Love the rooftop bar and outside seating. Only thing they are missing is some outdoor fire pits!!! There seems to be a lot of criticism on the service but I did not experience that at all. All the servers were pleasant, helpful and quick. The food was nothing to write home about. I came in June and they had a live band. If you're looking for some cheap outdoor fun (cornhole, drinks and music) I definitely recommend this place. read more

Love the concept here but it seems all of it is a work in progress. The positives: great facilities, plenty of parking and spacious, well maintained courts. The staff is sweet. And they come around while you're playing to ask about food and drinks - nice touch. The cons: - No wifi - Music played just loud enough to know it's there but too quiet to be engaging - so it's a white noise layer that's annoying -Check in and registering is clunky and takes a while before you can even look at what's available. Why do you need my emergency contact before I book something? - The waiver link is also bad online - Online reservations are .... Confusing at best You can't tell what courts are available and what's inside or outside. So I've ended up calling each time I want to play - put on hold, having them manually type everything in, etc ... just tedious. Why would I book an outdoor court in the PNW in rainy season? I mentioned that last time I called the person was like WHOA WE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT, I'll say something ... so there's hope. - you can't book out farther than a week it seems. The restaurant has a great set up, and good niche/gimmick with the rotisserie- but like everyone else has said - it's not great. - their socials are also messy - always changing classes, names, types, etc... - like I said it's all seemingly a work in progress. Big picture they are presenting everything like everyone is a pro pickleballer and not a casual player or beginner. It's not a great system for folks trying to get into the world at all - which seems short sited for such a big place. Besides - everyone's money spends the same - why not draw in some newbies? I'm siked for this place being so close to me and hope they can keep getting better - it's a great concept and I want to go more often - they just make that hard. read more

I had the pleasure of attending an event here for yelp and it was so fun! This place reminds me of top golf but for pickleball! The food that we had were the sliders (bbq pulled pork and regular burger with onions and cheese), with salad, chicken tacos, variety of cocktails to choose from, and some raspberry cheesecake and bourbon chocolate cake. I liked the pork tacos and the dessert the best. The sliders were a perfect size to eat. I don't always like sitting and trying to tackle eating a large full size burger. The tacos were dry and lacked some flavor, in my opinion. I would have liked to taste some more salt or lime or cilantro in the taco and aioli. The cheesecake on the other hand was so yummy! It was really creamy and I loved the crust. I love a good raspberry cheesecake vs a plain cheesecake :) As for the cocktails.. the apple cider whiskey sour drink was THE BEST. I loved the flavor of the whiskey with the apple. My friend ordered the strawberry jalapeño margarita and then tried my drink and said the whiskey sour was much better. All of the workers here are great! They are so kind and will educate you about the start up of 23 kitchens and everything they have to offer. We decided we'd stop in at 23 Kitchens after a college visit, and while we enjoyed our food, I wouldn't say it was anything spectacular. The young lady taking our order was friendly and gave her input on which items she prefers, which always appreciate. All 3 of us ordered the rotisserie chicken, and while the sandwiches were huge, the chicken definitely didn't seem fresh. It had a fair amount of BBQ sauce and the coleslaw was crisp and had a nice crunch with a good spicy bite to it. I also agree with another of the reviewers that the sandwiches are very messy. I ordered the beer mac and cheese while my husband got the tots. Once again, there was a lot of cheese sauce, but not many noodles to go along with it. The tots were cooked well and came with ketchup. The extra sauce from the mac and cheese could definitely be used for those tots too! If I had to choose sides again, my daughter would choose the mac and cheese, I would choose the coleslaw or a salad, and I'm pretty sure my husband would stick with his tots. Hahaha It was really rainy, so not a lot was going on outside, but I bet it will be a great place to visit when it's warm and not raining. We have been in to 23 Kitchens several times in the past month and we have been satisfied each time. The menu has a nice variety of food. My husband has ordered the prime rib philly several times and he loves it. We have also ordered the bread sticks with beer cheese each time - the cheese is so good. They make absolutely beautiful salads (I wish I had taken a pic). The food has always been super fresh and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and when the weather was nice it was fun to sit outside and watch the pickleball games. read more

Hey Let's get into 23 Kitchens. Let's begin with the staff. Beautiful and very kind young lady's. Erin was sweet, patient, and helpful. The restaurant was clean very spacious and also offers outside sitting and live music on various nights. This establishment only had one functional restroom with one toilet. That definitely needs to be handled. And the soap as my daughter said disappears. It did not lather at all. Not really sure if we even truly washed our hands. Some might say this isn't important but, in a time of Covid it is. And this place was full of kids touching on everything. This is a place to come and enjoy pickle ball so I expected people. But, there was a birthday party and there were kids all over the place. Running in others people courts while they were trying to play. It would be nice if 23 Kitchens had an area for families and or parties. And maybe they reserved those places but, for others it wasn't as enjoyable with 5-6 kids running around. Kids should be able to be free and have fun and paying customers should also be able to enjoy their games and friends without kids who could get hurt unintentionally. Next, the food. My husband and I purchased the chicken tacos. Usual I post pictures but, no not this time. The tacos were not pleasing to look out. They were drowned in aloi sauce , onions, which I asked for little onions. The cilantro was turning and the chicken was dry honey. Read the other reviews below you will see it is an issue there. The chicken had very little flavor and it had an orange color to it that suggests seasoning we just couldn't taste it. I was not having it. I didn't finish the tacos. Our daughter ordered the kids sliders she only ate one and said the burger was dry. And her tots were packed with salt and some type of black seasoning (not pepper) it was like salty sesame seeds. The seasoning on the tots should have been on the chicken. We wanted to stay and enjoy the live music and desserts but the kids were a bit much. Oh they do offer a roof top area which looked great. We were not told about it. We were not told if it was open. We later saw people go up there. But, it was blazing hot not sure if there were umbrellas or shaded areas to sit. I'm gonna go again maybe later in the evening when kids might be home sleep and try other menu items. And don't try and come for me about the kids. We have 4 children. This is just my perspective. Pretty disappointed for 1st visit here. Attended an event so the company was great but other than that, not so much. #1 Ordered a drink on their menu - sorry we don't have any all the ingredients to make that. #2 Ordered the Meltdown - sorry, we are out of rye bread - you can have that on a burger bun. #3 Ordered the Meltdown and it showed up with a large container of their signature sauce but no fries, just a small bag of chips. "I thought this was supposed to come with fries" - Oh, we ran out and then she just walked away. Not only was there our event but another one coming in after us. I had two different wraps, and it was just not enjoyable. I really had to force the food down. Besides the smell of sweat from the courts, and the lack of flavor of food, I will not be coming here again. I also ordered the hummus plate, but the hummus was absolutely horrible. Amazing Valentine's special! Oysters on the half shell, a delicious 10 oz. New York steak Oscar, covered in crab, sauteed asparagus & a creamy Hollandaise sauce. A side of herbed roasted red potatoes finished the plate. The finale was a pair of red velvet hearts filled with brandied cherry whipped cream , sitting in a raspberry sauce. We had lunch h at 23 Kitchens which is a pickelball club. They have indoor and outdoor courts and yard games, but today we came for lunch. My usual is a cup of chicken soup and a ginger beer. The menu is great and reasonably priced. My soup and ginger beer were $7. The power went out but they carried on in a professional and friendly way despite the Challenge. Pros: - Amazing food. I loved their street tacos and roasted chicken. My friends love many of their other menu items. Seriously, absolutely amazing flavors and well balanced. Soooo good. - Best pickleball courts in Seattle metro area - Additional Games, tournaments, and events Cons: -Since all the food is fancy high quality food from scratch, it's hard to find cheaper food options sometimes. I'd love some less fancy food options for when I don't want to spend much. I hear they've adjusted their menu a bit so I look forward to seeing what they added. - Restaurant is so new that they need some time to iron out the kinks with order timing, but I'm confident they'll get there. read more

Party of five; ordered six small dishes which all added up to $130. All the food got to us cold, hard and flavorless. I was really excited to try this place out and I ended up leaving really disappointed, and hungry if I'm being honest.the only good thing was the pineapple cream soda and the smoky ranch. Everything else sent me home sad. The courts are the only thing worth coming here for. That and maybe a beer. Restaurant and Pickleball Courts. Review is not about the pickleball area which included several outdoor courts and a building devoted to the sport. Buildings were nice. Right now a view of Mt Rainier till the apartments get built to the east. Restaurant was not what I expected. Sports bar meets a rotisserie bbq. Very plain inside. We sat upstairs next to the bar. Noisy. 8 people in the area but the architecture made it seem like I was at a concert. Noticed the setup doesn't seem very staff friendly. Lots of going to different areas, downstairs upstairs etc to complete an order. I ordered a Cuban sandwich. I'm not sure if there was anything else but turkey. Hmmm. Sounded good on menu but what I discovered the bread choices for their sandwiches made it difficult to eat. This was on a hoagie type roll and everything was sliding out. Same with the Philly sandwich my wife got. Very messy. I had the honey corn cake for a side. Sweet and moist. Definitely was the biggest positive for the meal. Price was comparable to other places serving something similar. Still not sure about this place. Sweaty people walking around after pickleball coming into a bar/restaurant. Strange to me. read more

Review specific for restaurant: Food is way overpriced for what you get. Tried restaurant 3 times. First time opening weekend, portions were big but food was not good. I got chicken noodle soup and there was no joke 5 pieces of pasta? The cheesesteak (which I think is no longer on the menu) had a lot of meat but flavorless and the beer cheese was not good. 2nd time got just a dinner size Caesar salad. With chicken it's $17, without chicken....its still $17??? 3rd time my friend ordered the tatertot appetizer and that was actually good. Over $20 for a rotisserie chicken? When can get a whole one from Costco for $5? Menu should be adjusted to also support healthier options or options people would want to consume while playing pickleball. I was really excited to try this place but the food needs improvement. I had the cuban sandwich and my wife got the prime rib sandwich. Both dry, lack flavor, and under season, plus the menu is not unique. Most of their food is premade, so they can assemble it quickly. I appreciate quick, but not when it doesn't taste good. My advice to 21 Kitchen.. Check out Paseos in Seattle for a real cuban sandwich. They advertised on their website as Superior Kitchen but the food is less than mediocre and especially for the price you pay. The worst thing is the cheddar cheese, its reminds me of the cheese dispensed at the movie theater and they use it for alot of their dishes! I its so gross This really need to be off the menu. We didn't finish our food and went to Chipotle and got there Queso dip Instead. Also for a new restaurant that just opened. The walls up stairs in the bar area are damaged. Poor paint quality. You can see the uneven texture on walls and some areas the paint is scratched. Table tops are wobbly, poor of fixed windows. The triangle windows in the bar up stair should have been full height. The food here is so delicious! I can't pick a favorite but I absolutely crave the flat breads and the chicken Cesar wrap is so satisfying I could eat it every day! All the desserts are absolutely incredible and made in house! Our kids love going there for a treat and to play around while we visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always with a smile! The atmosphere is so welcoming and fun! There's something for everyone and is a fantastic spot for the whole family. I am so thankful to have such a great spot in the hawks Prarie area! read more

This restaurant gave me mixed feelings. The atmosphere was fun and very lively. The food was alright, kinda greasy. The one thing I really didn't like was the fact that they didn't deliver the food to the number you had on the table, they took it to an "approximate location." Although the food was not be favorite I loved the idea of this place. It was so fun to be outside and enjoy all of the people playing pickleball.
