This was our second time using the Escondido location, and it confirmed that this facility is not equipped or operated to responsibly manage large or anxious dogs, despite advertising itself as a professional daycare. During our first experience in May 2024 (boarding), our dog, Chika, was labeled anxious and given a "first strike" for snapping at other dogs. We had never received this sort of feedback before and were concerned. She was placed in private care for the remainder of that stay, and no further issues occurred. Between May 2024 and December 2025, Chika attended numerous daycare facilities in social play without incident. We gave the Escondido location another opportunity on December 20, 2025. Within three hours, we received a voicemail from Daniel (manager) stating that Chika was digging at and jumping on the walls and that the Escondido facility's walls are not as sturdy as those at the Miramar location. We were also told that she would NOT be welcome back at Escondido after that day. We do not dispute Chika's behavior, but the problem was the lack of management. We are paying customers and expect staff to actively handle the situation, not simply report it and escalate to removal or ban. There was no indication that reasonable steps were taken (removal from the area, breaks, walks, or calming measures) before contacting us. Notifying the customer is appropriate and appreciated; failing to attempt resolution is not. Chika was eventually placed in a cage for the remainder of the day, which was acceptable. However, communication did not indicate that efforts were made to reduce her stress or ensure her comfort. We paid $60 per dog (two dogs; our other dog's behavior was deemed acceptable) and expected professional supervision and care. There are serious safety and operational concerns. The facility has thin, easily damaged walls, is understaffed (per the manager and owner), and staff are not consistently present in dog areas. Dogs are sometimes monitored via cameras rather than in-person supervision, according to Daniel (manager). This location also maintains a low number of dogs, which aligns with how quickly dogs are removed or banned instead of being managed. According to the daycare, Chika may react this way because calmer areas stress her and busier areas keep her mind occupied--interpret that as you will. Interactions with Daniel (manager) and Brian (owner) were unacceptable. Brian called us on December 21st, which we initially appreciated as a chance to discuss the situation. However, the conversation quickly became hostile and dismissive, with Brian stating they "could bill you for the damage, but aren't," telling me to "take some introspection," and calling me "rude" and "ridiculous for asking for a refund." He also said, "open your own daycare and manage it how you want." All phone calls with management are recorded, so there is a record of these interactions. No accommodation was offered. Had a partial refund been provided, this review would not exist! The only professional interaction was with Whitney at the front desk. We love the Miramar location, and it's disappointing that our experience at Escondido came to this. Owners of large or anxious dogs should proceed with caution. This location does not actively manage stressed dogs or work toward resolution. read more

I just moved down here a couple months ago from Los Angeles and I have a 14 month old standard poodle. Surprisingly, there isn't a facility like this up there and I WISH everywhere had a doggy daycare not only with this type of flexibility and availability to cater to any working fur parent's schedule but also the quality of care to your pet. Stevie always has a great time no matter if it's a weekend stay while I'm out of town or a 1/2 day (6 hours of day care) OR even a full day (12 hours of day care for when those work days get a little long). To be honest, the prices here are fairly reasonable considering the quality of care you get vs taking your dog to Petsmart where they really don't care about your dog or leaving your dog home alone all day. My girl is kind of boujee so that really doesn't fly in my household. I appreciate the photos and report cards I get of Stevie through out the day as well. What's really cool is, if you need their daycare services on a regular basis, instead of paying for each session you can actually get a membership which I'm actually considering getting. Anyways, I just wanted to write this review because when I moved down here I knew no one and I didn't have very many resources. This also made transitioning to a new job where I can no longer bring my dog with my everyday to work much easier and less stressful on not only Stevie, but myself as well. Our pup's first experience at daycare & she was absolutely amazing! The staff was very responsive in our request for a full day daycare, very welcoming when we dropped her off, and still very helpful when we picked up. Our girl Noodle did so well with the staff and the other dogs at the daycare. She stayed a full day while we were being tourists and upon pick up, she was so exhausted from all the fun. The report card that she was given was so relieving. It was so detailed as to their process of introducing new friends to the others. It even had names of the friends she made and the staff that helped care for her. We can't wait to visit again so Noodle can enjoy her stay at 24 Hour!! read more

I have an exclusively outdoor, moderately anxious, and minimally socialized 7-8 year old husky mix that's been recently having some trouble staying outside in this rainy weather while I'm away at work during the day. After having to miss work a few times to look after her I decided to give doggy daycare a shot. Signing up was easy and straight forward. I was overjoyed to learn that the "orientation day" is free to make sure it's a good fit for your dog. It's nice to know all the dogs are vetted before being grouped up for play. Staff was responsive the few times I called for questions and first day drop off at 5AM was quick and painless making it easy to get to work on time. The 24 hour convenience factor is unmatched for folks that wake up early for work. Obviously I was a bit nervous not knowing how my anxious pup would react in this scenario. It was a major relief to log into the online portal to see a full and complete breakdown of the introduction process and how my dog reacted to every part of it half way through my work day. The pictures of her playing was a nice touch as well. Pick up took less than 10 minutes and I was out the door and heading home in no time. My dog gets the private boarding cause he doesn't always get along with others and I feel like they treat him so well! He even gets some private playtime with people so he can get his energy out. My last review was *actually* for the Miramar location. I didn't realize it until now. However, I must update my review due to my last experience at the Escondido location. I dropped off my dog on Dec 24th because I had to go to the Bay Area at very short notice. I don't have any friends or family and Thor loves playing with other dogs so I decided to give Escondido a chance since Miramar was booked. Escondido is much cleaner and modern than Miramar. When we were greeted the lady seemed very bothered, but that is not the negative experience I'm talking about. When I picked Thor up on Dec 27th right at midnight, he jumped on me and seemed very normal. I only got one report card on Dec 25th where they stated he had pooped, peed, and ate. Perfect! We got home and slept all night and in the morning I noticed he was not the same energetic Thor that I know. I thought, "maybe he's exhausted from three days of playing", so I let it go. He wasn't excited for walks, nor did he eat for an entire day. I called them in the afternoon to ask if they noticed something odd or if he was fed. They said everything was good and he was indeed extremely energetic. A "maniac" she described him as. By night time he was still low on energy and not eating. I finally got to unpack and I grabbed the bag I left the staff to feed him because I had specified on the notes that he needed to eat the food I provided otherwise he would get diarrhea. I measured 6.5 cups of his special food plus counted the two kinds of treats I sent him with. When I unpacked I saw that they wrote Thor on the tote bag, and that one of the bags did have a little bit less... but there was still way too much food left in the baggies. I though what the?! Did they not feed him? So I measured what was left in the bags and shockingly there were 5 cups left between both bags. I tried calling again but it sent me to voicemail and I was just kind of stressed out about my dog so I took him to the vet just in case. Vet said he was fine, just exhausted and needed food asap so I had to buy more food, expensive food, and have him eat risking getting diarrhea. Fortunately no diarrhea! However, I am deeply saddened by the fact that either the staff lied to me that he was fed and that they didn't feed him at all, or that the staff fed him something that was not supposed be fed due to his diet and disregarding my wishes :( I want to believe it was option number two and not one. I don't know if I will be back, because Thor and I love y'all, but next time please follow directions that way there's no potential financial loss or any kind of loss to the owner and for the best interest of everyone :) read more

I was in a jam, needing last-minute overnight boarding for my Corgi, Bailey. Staff members Brian and Natalie were friendly, professional and helpful in helping me with the arrangements. The facility is very clean, the initial new customer registration was quick and simple (have your pup's current shot records available), and the drop off and pick up were all very efficient. The rate structure for services offered are straightforward, very reasonable and full of value. Thoughtful a la carte offerings (doggy ice creams, extra walks, grooming, etc.) are available; go basic or spoil your little rascal rotten. The staff sends you "report cards" bulleting their assessment of your fur baby, a custom report on how your pup is getting along with his new pup pals, and it even includes several pics of your pup having a blast! You'll have the option to pay at drop off or pick up. ***Don't forget to leave a tip, guys!*** The staff are true animal lovers and really take care of your little one. I can tell that Bailey had the time of his life. I once heard the expression "a tired dog is a good dog" and if a picture is worth a thousand words, then I have several thousand words attached with this review. :) read more

We've used 24HDD primarily for boarding over the past 3 years, and this is my overall impression to-date. -- PRO'S -- 1) Unbeatable convenience for hours of drop off/pick-up. This is very useful for flights that depart/arrive at different times, vacations, outings, etc that allow you to sync your dog's schedule with your own 2) Report cards & photos for boarding. Their report card policy used to be more generous, offering an update to be sent every other day for longer boarding appointments. Nowadays, they only include one report card but we love the photos the staff takes of our dog, and the short update on how they're getting along with others there. Don't forget to check out their Facebook pages to see if you can spot your dog on their daily updates!! I've found that the Miramar location does a better job at posting more photo updates than the Escondido location. 3) 2 locations are convenient for us -- Miramar and Escondido. We enjoy the flexibility of being able to drop our dog off at either north county or miramar locations, depending on whether we're driving north or heading south or to the airport. 4) Friendly customer service. The staff at check-in and drop off are always nice and professional. Making reservations, updating routines/allergies/vaccination records is also simple with the online portal. We slightly prefer the customer service at the Miramar location over the Escondido one, as they seem more enthusiastic and happy to help, but have no issues from either branch. -- THINGS TO CONSIDER -- 1) Pricing is on the rise. Unfortunately like all other goods and services at the moment, prices have been on the rise so the increase is somewhat expected.This has, over time, led me to begin seeking other options when it comes to boarding my dog, as my dog gets older and tires of the group-centric play space more quickly. 2) Open play 24/7 can tire a pup out when boarding for days on-end. **This is completely dependent on your dog** but ours is of lower energy and enjoys alone time, in addition to smaller group play sessions and a fairly basic day-to-day routine. We may need to find other options that better fit his needs and with more personal space and attention to better cater to his level of activity. 3) Report cards are sent on the first day of boarding. As I mentioned, the report cards are great! Unfortunately you'll have to purchase them a la cart to continue receiving them, but even with the single included report, I find that sending out the update the first day my dog is there is somewhat less useful than receiving one the following day or later... to truly provide an accurate image of how well they're adapting/socializing/eating while at daycare. 4) Playing phone tag to confirm reservations. Making reservations in the online portal is incredibly easy and convenient - you select the dates, times, locations, and any add-ons or notes and feeding schedules as needed. They used to review/accept the reservations and notify my via email with a confirmation, but as of late, they've resorted to calling owners over the telephone to repeat/review all details already described when the reservation request was placed. While I understand their need to clarify certain things and prevent misunderstandings/mistakes/instructions, I'm often left playing phone tag if I'm unable to pick-up after their first call. I'd leave a voicemail to request call-back, and wait again for another phone call (which hopefully I can answer). The conversation, to me at least, seems redundant and cumbersome to the previously streamlined/convenient process. -- OVERALL -- While our dog has returned home from daycare with kennel cough once when he was a puppy, and also with an eye infection on another occasion, I feel these are inherent risks of putting your dog in any daycare/boarding facility so it's by no means any fault of the facility. He's always come home pooped (probably from not getting much sleep!) but clean and without apparent injury and we appreciate their staff working the odd hours and watching over our furry family members. I'm happy to recommend 24HDD for those needing more flexibility with their drop off/pick-up schedules, and want their dog in a safely supervised and friendly facility! read more

I have been taking my puppy here for 6 months now. She loves it and I love how kind and caring the staff treat her! Last week she was bit by another dog and I wanted to write this to let you know how amazing the staff handled the situation. They immediately picked up my baby and checked her wounds. The other dog was taken away and my baby was put somewhere safe. They called us immediately and told us the situation. They sterilized her wounds often until we were able to pick her up. Not only did they care for her until we got there, they also fully reimbursed our vet bill! This was very generous. We will be coming back once she is healed :) read more

**update** I love that this place is commenting on my review, now, 2yrs after the issue occurred. My dog got kicked out on his first day because there was an altercation. Two dogs got into an argument, my dog came to see what's up. At no point did my dog start to "attack" another dog like the business owner says. My dog jumped up to sniff the dog that started it all, because an employee picked the dog up. My dog has never attacked anyone or anything. He's been attacked many times at dog parks, from German shepherds to chihuahuas, and does nothing to defend himself. I'm not trying to get business turned away from here. Just know, if a fight breaks out, and you have a curious dog, as most are, they'll probably be guilty by association. read more

This facility was perfect for my circumstances since it's hours are 24/7, which is even better!! the location is right off the freeway and has easy accessibility in and out. Do not kennel your dog here. We have kenneled our dog at this location twice. Both times, he came home with kennel cough. We figured the first time was a freak thing, as he has his shots. But this happening twice speaks to the lack of cleanliness, or lack of attention staff are paying to signs of symptoms. We also paid for daily walks to discover that a "walk" is a short few steps to a tree stump in front of the building. We also paid extra for a pre-pickup bath. When we picked him up, he was all wet and did not smell clean. The thing that concerns us the most, is that we paid for daily progress reports and didn't learn about his illness. The fact that they didn't notice that our dog was ill, or neglected to inform us and separate him from the others, is irresponsible. Thankfully he will likely be ok as he is young, but I can only imagine if he were older. The day we picked him up, he was coughing frantically and threw up twice on the way home. They swore that he hadn't been coughing until they handed him over to me. Considering the severity of his state on the ride home, that doesn't seem likely. read more

I'm not one to often leave Yelp reviews, but 24 Hour Dog Daycare here in Escondido is too exceptional from my experience to not sing their praises online. I've been blown away time and time again since I started bringing my puppy, Lucina, to 24 Hour Dog Daycare two months ago. As far as I can tell, every single member of their staff cares tremendously for the dogs in their care. From the logistical end, they are very thoughtful in how they arrange dogs in play groups so that the pups can play well together, feel comfortable, and have a great time. They also on the constant lookout for making sure the dogs' needs are met, between watching carefully that the pups as specified by their owners during mealtimes and quickly cleaning up messes and watching out for any safety concerns. Meanwhile, from the compassionate end, they show so much care and love for all the pups. Everytime I bring Lucina, I splurge on a report card, and these report cards consistently show her having fun with other pups and being affectionate with the staff. Furthermore, when we arrive, she is always so excited to greet the staff and then run to go play with her friends. These behaviors demonstrate to me that she loves the staff, feels safe and secure at the daycare, and has a blast whenever she's there. All in all, I recommend 24 Hour Dog Daycare extremely highly. They have proven themselves to me very thoughtful, caring, passionate, and overall amazing. read more

Verry unprofessional I never brought my dogs to a day care before & I was excited to bring them in hopeing for lovely experience but no it was the worst experience I ever had , this place has verry terrible customer service , I came to have my dogs in a private care for 2 days , when I came in I told them I'm from San diego & that I just moved in to the area , I specifically told them I had to go to San Diego to get there vaccine cards in & they told me it's fine I Can email them my dogs vaccine cards to them whenever I have the chance ( keep in mind ) I already payed 120 deposit for them to be there , the next day came they told me they can't get them in with out the vaccine cards , I sayd okay I will send them through email when I have the chance ( IS WHAT I BEN TOLD) they could not get them in so I asked for my money back & they sayd they cannot give me my money back as well. I got a call from sarah explaining my situation and I asked if they Can at least used the deposit for a diffrent day and they sayd NO I asked if they can help Me with anything as a first time customer they sayd no again !!! That is completely crazzy , this place steals your money , they sayd they look through the cameras ? What does the cameras have to do with false information? Our dog stayed here while we visited San Diego Safari Park. We had a great experience leaving our dog here because the facility was clean, had a well organized online registration and accommodation platform, professional employees, and our dog was returned to us in the same condition that we dropped her off. It was especially nice to get an update on my phone with pictures describing how my doggy was doing (e.g., how much she ate and if she completed her "business") and what the staff had learned about her during their interactions. This facility was also recommended by a Yelp top-rated facility that was not able to provide private accommodations for our shy pet. read more

We always do private boarding and staff treat our baby with so much care and love (side note: we appreciate the 'pupdates'!). Whether it is over night, full day or 1/2 day, I know my fur baby is going to have fun. A plus is the grooming side, I can pick her up clean and tired :) but my favorite is the dog ice cream you can add to the stay, the pictures and update I receive while she is playing and/or eating her ice cream makes my day and confirms I made the right choice to drop her off with 24 hour dog day care. I don't know where to start because I have so many good things to say! We had our first visit this week (which was a free temperament test to make sure the dog is non-aggressive), and I was really blown away by my experience. Not only is the website awesome (you create an account and can purchase packages, make visit reservations, view photos/updates of your dog, etc.), but everyone I interacted with was so kind and dog-loving, and it was clear from chatting with them that they all had met and interacted with my dog that day. The report card for his temperament test was really detailed and so sweet and positive. Made me really proud of my pup. :) They included a bunch of pictures as well so I could see how he was doing and other dogs he was meeting. The next day they also posted a welcome message on their Facebook account with a collage of my dog! Such a cute extra touch. Before coming here, I had been becoming more and more uncomfortable with taking my dog to the dog park (I've seen some really sketchy things go down there, including when a dog tried to kill another dog!). So I really appreciate how strict they are about vaccinations and with requiring a temperament test for every new dog. It makes me feel more comfortable knowing that every dog my boy will interact with has been vetted! The only minor complaint I have was that my pup has smelled fairly strongly of perfume for the last few days since his visit... Although, since this likely means he was getting lots of love from a staff member, I suppose I can't complain too much! :) Planning to start taking my little guy here weekly- would recommend to anyone! read more

I recently moved back to the area and went back to my old doggy daycare place. To say I wasn't impressed is an understatement. On my journey to find anew doggy daycare I had tried a couple other locations. I came across 24h DD and I am so happy I did. The setup process online is easy, the first day is free!! My boy was so happy to be back at daycare socializing with other dogs. The staff was super friendly, and the place was extremely clean! Being in this situation with COVID there was a light. I had an emergency and had to fly out for family. 24 Hour Dog Daycare was there to support me and my dogs. I was so happy to get my report cards with pictures of my happy girls. The folks at 24 Hour Dog Daycare took care of the girls fed them their fresh dog food diet and gave them a treats as scheduled. Being away from the US for a number of years they were shy with strangers and are not very social with other dogs but they were comfy in their own private room. I recommend these folks to anyone, and will be back when I need caregivers for the girls in the future. read more

They treat each dog like their own family and our pup is always so excited to go hang out with them. Long overdue. My husband and I love this place. Our Goldendoodle Jax loved going here. At first he was a bit shy but they really worked with him. I thought it was a great way to socialize our young pup with people and to her dogs. Eventually when we started dropping him off he stopped looking back at us and ran in to play. You could tell Jax loved the staff and they loved him. I love the daily pics they post on Facebook. I could see how much fun Jax had while here. We did 2-3 days a week of daycare and I really think it led to a well behaved and happy pup for us. So happy we spent time here. We also did a few sleepovers which went great. You get a report card for sleep overs! Jax passed away unexpectedly and when I called to let 24 hour daycare know, they were so kind and sympathetic. The multiple ways they reached out and remembered Jax afterwords proves that the staff here truly does love and care for the dogs here. I will never forgot that. I needed a last minute day care and was looking all over and stumbled upon 24 hour dog daycare. Let me say, it was a godsend. Very nice and clean facility with a nice staff. I have a 5 month old puppy, Josie, and i was a little worried dripping her off at her very first day of day care. Admittedly, i called multiple times in the day and Natalie was more than happy to help me and answer all of my questions as a worried dog mom. I had my puppy there most of the day and she was pooped after! If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Not only do I love bringing my dog here but he loves coming here! I feel like the staff truly goes above and beyond to make sure your pet is well taken care of and the pup-dates are filled with so much info on how my pup is doing while I'm away. It's a large indoor facility with the option to add outdoor walks and even pup cups! The little details they pay attention to is awesome. We have left our pup here for 1 day, a couple nights, and even several days and while I miss my pup I am always confident he is in good hands here. I have had some negative experiences at other boarding places and these guys just blew us away with how well they take care of fur babies. I cannot recommend this place enough and I am so happy we found them! read more

We LOVE this place!! A "full day" is up to 12 hours and the fact they're open 24 hours makes date nights after getting a puppy a possibility again. We can't come back anytime soon though because Shadow isn't neutered yet. They require dogs to be fixed after 6 months of age. Which I feel should be a case by case basis because he is SO dog friendly. I'm just not ready to do that to him yet but once he is fixed, we'll definitely be back! They took our dog for 4 hours while we attended an event from out of town. They were careful with the dog and sent us photos if her, and a report on how she was doing. We appreciated it, and would recommend them. read more

We take our sweet Chiweenie to 24 Hour Dog Daycare for vacations and weekend trips, about 2-3 times a year. She has anxiety, takes medication, and she does really well there. She loves the staff! We feel comfortable knowing that she is getting good care and attention there. We usually pay for a daily report card and a treat, though they have a new option of a treat every other day too. It's easy to book online and for boarding at least I know they take a deposit up front. read more
