AWESOME Service!! My…read moreLiberty safe manual tumbler dial combo stopped working after 14 years and I couldn't open it. I called Liberty Safe and asked what to do. They told me a locksmith with the right tools can drill under the dial, line up the tumblers, open the safe and epoxy the hole up afterward. Not looking forward to the epoxied hole, I called Sunshine Lock & Safe to see if they could open the safe and fix the dial combo problem. Avi the owner said no problem and we set up an appointment. The following day he called to let me know he was on his way and he arrived according to plan. He was able to get into the safe without drilling and upon checking the dial combo parts inside he showed me that one of the tumbler disks was actually falling apart. He offered me the option of replacing the dial lock with an electronic lock which I readily accepted. Avi has a LOT of experience, has done many high end jobs with commercial-level safes and knows his trade extremely well. I was an aerospace engineer for over 40 years and I had a lot of questions while watching him work. He's very personable, doesn't mind talking about his trade and has a vast amount of experience which he didn't mind sharing. Very interesting man and clearly an expert at his trade! Spending just over $300 for Avi's new electronic lock, his effort and quick training on the new lock operation was money WELL spent, when considering spending just over $2000 to replace the old safe including removal & disposal.

Pierre contacted me immediately after my posting the review to let me know he had been injured on another job but hadn't contacted me yet with an update.. I need some help repairing the NEW door these guys purchased and installed in October…read more First, the door would not open mechanically without jamming, making a ton of noise (grinding sound). Second, when it rains, the water gets trapped in the "Special Bottom Piece to Seal" (direct quote from the proposal). when opened, water pours all over the ELECTRICAL mechanism/ sensor for the garage door- not a good thing. Now, the door randomly opens itself - I think because it does not close properly at the bottom (you can see how crooked it sits on the ground). We called and Saul was great to schedule a time to come out and look at it. Then he got here. (This was in December- two months after it was installed) He fixed the jamming problem by cutting a metal piece off the door itself. It was too long and was hitting another piece of the run, causing it to grind/jam. It appears that the door is the wrong size and they had to cut deeper into the ceiling of our garage (cutting through the fire blocking) just to get it to fit in. Now the door will open without issues. Yay! We also became aware that our fire blocking has now been compromised due to an oversized door slapped into our garage- as specified by a licensed inspector as a fire hazard and not desireable. Boo! As for the "Special bottom Piece to Seal"- he tells us there is nothing he can do. We asked him very clearly, "Are you saying this is working as intended?" he says clearly "No." I don't understand refusal to repair it when it is spelled out in the proposal, and then acknowledged by that very same company that it was not working as intended. This last week I have come home (in the dark) to an OPEN garage door twice. I am at a loss, and terrified when I come home alone hoping there is not an intruder inside my home and that nothing was stolen. This is bad business at its finest. I am willing to work with Saul and negotiate a price to reinstall a PROPERLY SIZED door that SEALS OUT RAIN and OPENS PROPLERLY. Instead, he refuses to fix what was already paid for. Clearly he does not want to work with the shotty door he purchased and installed, otherwise he could quote us a price instead of refusing to help us. Save yourself the headache, stress, and fear. Go with someone else.

So I brought the keys to 89th Ave Locks Keys Glass Etc where the owner looked at them carefully and could see why they didn't work. He cut and shaped them and sent me on my way. They worked perfectly. All three keys fit into the lock and turn easily. I'm not sure why the owner of Dutton Hardware had such a problem, but the owner of 89th Avenue Locks Keys Glass Etc fixed the keys in minutes and was extremely pleasant and professional while he did it. I had to get my ladder, climb up the attic, turn off the lights and close the door. Also, I had a good clean up job after he left.
