We always pass this place going down 287 and say we need to try it. Finally got off the freeway and gave it a go. It's a pull up and order type of place. They have a window with the menu and you place your order to go, easy and fast. Everyone was really nice and attentive. We ordered a breakfast burrito with eggs, beans, potatoes, and chorizo. You choose your meat, we decided to stay on the breakfast side since we hadn't really ate. We also ordered 4 tacos de barbacoa. Come with an appetite because the portions are very generous! The burrito was huge, hand held, and loaded with filling. The tacos were also loaded with meat. They gave us red salsa and green salsa, both were delicious and spicy. The green is little more spicy than the red. Very tasty. We will definitely be making our way back to try more menu items. Highly recommend especially if you're in the go, just pull up and order! So good!!

delicious food! ordered through the drive thru, waited about ten minutes in the parking lot with a buzzer that was given to me. when it buzzed, i picked up the food at the front window and took it home. the elote was spectacular with just the right balance of ingredients. the kid's steak quesadilla meal was the perfect portion for me and came with rice and beans on the side. i thought the rice was just a little dry but the beans were bussin topped with melty cheese. the steak quesadilla blew me away and their salsa verde made it the perfect combo. the caramel churro was a great dessert to end the meal. staff was kind and efficient.

This place was an absolute find! Breakfast is all day, but this taco plate was amazing! The green sauce was hot and delicious! The onion and cilantro were fresh and yummy toppings! Excellent spot to stop for a quick bite while you're out. No indoor seating, but good to take away of the patio isn't on your schedule.

I've come to this spot a couple of times , However I'm going to try and make this review solely around my first tryout, for that was the best experience. All 3 times that I've ordered, 2 out of the 3 were door-dash delivery orders. Due to my last delivery via door dash and I wasn't pleased at all . I chose to go and pick up my Togo order myself , That way I could inspect and address and correct anything that wasn't correct . First time ordering : I ordered the carne Asada steak torta (basically the ingredients of a burrito or taco made into a sub like sandwich). My torta included carne asada steak, lettuce, queso, tomato, mayo, avocado and pickled jalapeños .. I added Onion and cilantro to mines and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING . It came with green and red hot sauce, the red was my favorite. Second time ordering: I placed the EXACT SAME Thing to be delivered via door-dash like the first time. After leaning how good the red sauce was , I ordered a medium sized container on the side. Unfortunately, The restaurant ran out of tortas ( the bread) and they took it upon themselves to change my order to something else instead of canceling or allowing me to edit my order To something else . So instead I received a burrito in place of the torta which would have been fine if they would have just put into my burrito the same exact ingredients that I selected for my torta. They took it upon themselves to add rice and beans ,??? YUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!! My burrito was over stuffed which many wouldn't usually complain about , only it was so stuff that they couldn't ever wrap it . I picked it up and the entire burrito fail apart .. when I tell I was livid !! $25 order that went straight to the trash . So this last time I decide to place the Togo at the establishment and inspect before I left !! It validated my First encounter. And it was AMAZING AGAIN !! I will continue to eat at this restaurant. But now know it's in my best interest to pick up my order myself instead of letting a 3rd Party like door dash , Uber eats etc pick up , who can't inspect the food for you .

If you're not from the area and not looking you'll drive right past the place. I picked up 6 tacos and one elote with a bottled coke. We're getting somewhere right? Carne asada and al pastor sounded so good. I sat in the car and waited for my order to come out via pager. Once it did I sat in the patio. It was nice and breezy out. The patio was clean. The music was on par and kept me going with all these old Mexican sounds I had not heard in ages. Come taco time. Food looks good. The red salsa was a little more spicy than the green. Either way I would rate them spice wise a 5 of 10. Not too spicy at all. The tacos were decent. I got corn tortilla which was actually pretty tough. Reheat? Or maybe sitting on the grill too long? My first taco the tortilla was luke warm. Eventually as I got further in the others were nice and warm. As I said the tacos were decent. Not a big deal. The elote was pretty damn good. I'll pick up another soon. The bottled coke was a nice compliment. I haven't tried the flour tortillas or the rest of the menu so my rating my change with another visit but for now 3 stars guys. Good try. Just try a little harder with the tacos and you'll have a nice thing going for you. read more

We tried an assortment of tacos here. All were delicious. We had shrimp, barbacoa, marinated steak and pork. The tortillas tasted homemade as the said, rice and beans were yummy too. Quac was fresh and so was the salsa. We will be back. read more

YUM YUM YUM!! Haven't had anything that was less than spectacular. There isn't any indoor seating. We order online and cruise through the drive-thru for a quick and painless pick-up. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. You should give it a whirl! read more

1st time to try 287 Taco and wow, the food is fantastic! I got barbacoa, al pastor, carne asada, and shrimp. Each taco had its own lime to squeeze on, a few radish slices and two avocado crema and a regular salsa to accompany. Everything was delicious, snappy shrimp, flavorful barbacoa, fresh tortillas de maiz. My new favorite place in town. read more

Really good food! We had grilled chicken tacos and carne asada tacos. We also had side orders of elotes (Mexican corn). Reasonably priced and very clean. The staff was super friendly and very patient with us while we tried to decide what to order. We will definitely visit again! read more

This place is really good lots of parking right off the freeway the only thing I don't like is when you go through the drive-thru you order and then you have to go park and when the order is ready you have to go back to the drive-thru. read more

In town for one night for business from Miami, so I wanted to try some of the local fare and this place stuck out to me. I got the carne asada tacos flour and corn and the chicken quesadilla, everything was really good and fresh and was prepared in a very timely manner and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place and being from Miami I've had some really good tacos in my day. BTW if you're ever in Miami check out Coyo Taco in Wynwood. More expensive than 287 because Miami of course. But worth it. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. I was drawn to it by the largely lit sign by the highway. I ordered a carne asada taco, grilled shrimp taco and a steak quesadilla. The tacos were both good. The shrimp was fresh, juicy, and tasty. My favorite was the steak quesadilla. It had a lot of steak and cheese and had guacamole, lettuce, sour cream/ salsa on the side. The green salsa was very good as well. Would definitely be going back again! read more

Probably one of the most driest chicken tacos I have ever had... thankfully I had a coke with me to wash it down. I was seriously struggling to chew and swallow every bite. Not sure if it sat out long or was overcooked? My kid did enjoy the bean and cheese burrito. Customer service was good the young man in the window was kind... I'm from California and have been looking everywhere for good Mexican food. Well, I finally found it. This is a small taco shop with great food. Think street taco type tacos and really good burritos. Good portion meat and tastes fresh everytime. Only thing I would change is not charging extra for extra hot sauce. Its .35 for an extra container. read more

I have to say some real good carne asada tacos and shrimp. The quesadillas are very yummy too. I will definitely be going back. I haven't really tried everything they have to offer . The chicken taco wasn't as great as the asada and shrimp. We ordered to go and when we got home everything was still tasty. Good street tacos. Worth giving them a shot and I promise you'll be back. This taco shop is consistently good...I stop in often and the customer service is just as consistent. The Carne Asada tacos are excellent as well as the shrimp tacos--we also enjoy the tortas here which are are made authentically. It's a great place to stop and even dine outside when the weather is nice--I highly recommend this place with its great customer service. read more

This place is great. Need to try it out. I live in Midlothian area their convenient all the time. If you are passing through the area on 287 it is worth the stop and 5 minutes to get your order. I had the Al Pastor and Barbacoa Tacos. Perfection. Limes, Cilantro Jalapeño sauce and red salsa provided. One spicy and one not. You will not be disappointed you left for that trip a few minutes early just for tacos. read more

First time here. It is cold outside, so maybe that is why the tortillas were too. Only have outdoor seating, which is not good for this kind of weather. The pastor and asada were good. Did not like the barbacoa at all. Small elote was good and perfect size. Hope this place makes it; we will try again when they go to a full menu. Overall, not bad for Midlothian! read more

Despite ordering the guacamole, we never received it. We tried several times to get our server's attention, but it felt like we were being overlooked. Our server never checked on us again, brought our check, or handled our payment--I was able to wave the manager down instead. We explained what had happened, and while the experience with our assigned server was very disappointing, we made it clear that we plan to return because the food was outstanding.

When I got back to where I was staying, I discovered the queso tasted burnt and was completely inedible. I returned to the restaurant to let them know and asked for a refund. They did give me credit for the queso, but refused to refund the chips because I didn't bring them back--despite them being part of the same issue. Overall, the food quality is poor, and the customer service was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this place. There are better options nearby that offer higher-quality food and better service.

Great street tacos for the price. I had, Al Pastor, Barbacoa, Chicken, and Carne Asada with the red salsa. As I'm eating these delicious tacos, I want to share my salivating experience and give these guys some props. Starting a new restaurant is very difficult. My taste buds are dazzled by the rich flavor from the Carne Asada and Al Pastor, seasoned perfectly in my opinion. Even the barbacoa wasn't too greasy which is common place with street tacos. The salsa verde was good. The salsa roja on the other hand hits the nail on the head, if you are wanting that karate kid crane kick of spicyness in your mouth.
