I love this place!! The sweet lady with blonde hair always takes care of my little Lilo. At first I was super concerned with leaving my dog with people I don't know, but she said I can sit and wait the whole time if I wanted. This made me so comfortable! Also if your dogs are vocal while being groomed, and you're there, you can hear the staff sweet talking the animals to help them calm down . Very patient with my little beast. Got nails trimmed and they were quite gentle. Was a walk in and immediately taken care of.

They take such great care of my dog and cat. I take my husky to get groomed every other month and she always comes back looking great! My husky loves going there and everyone is so nice and attentive to her. She has some growths, so they make sure not to groom near it. I took my cat today to get groomed because she has dandruff, and I thought it was time for the professionals to handle it. They were so sweet to my cat and she seemed to enjoy her time. She was very calm and wasn't agitated when I got her back. The prices are very good and the service is great! I will continue taking my cat and dog here. We travel full time so I depend on reviews to find the best groomers in the area. 29 Paws had good reviews. I took my baby, Lucy, to 29 Paws Pet Grooming on Saturday, October 9, 2021. The groomer called after about an hour and a half to tell me that she had cut my dog's tongue with the scissors. She said it wasn't bad and she didn't feel Lucy needed to go to the vet. We rushed over. Lucy was happy; seemed to not notice that her tongue was bleeding all over the floor. It was difficult to see with the blood, but appeared to be a nick. I was crying. The groomer did honestly feel bad. It was an accident. But, in hindsight, it is a groomer's 100% first priority to keep my dog safe. If she cannot cut around her face without harming my dog, DON'T DO IT. It takes just a milli-second of distraction or complacency to harm another. Safety should always be first. She still charged me $51 for the grooming. I was in shock. You cut my dog's tongue with the scissors and I have to pay you for that? I paid and left in tears. We called everywhere to try to find a vet. No one would see her on a Saturday afternoon. We did find a place 2 hours away that said it would be a 5-7 hour wait once we arrived. Why didn't the groomer call the vet as soon as she cut her tongue? It's a DOG'S tongue! They pant, they lick, they play with toys, they eat...everything revolves around their mouths. Anyhow, we decided not to take her and just keep an eye on it. It's now been 5 days. It's healing. She doesn't really seem to notice it. The cut went clean through her tongue at the tip about 1/2 inch in. There will be a notch in her tongue for the rest of her life...and she just turned 1 year old. She's still a puppy. I feel so horrible for taking my baby to this groomer and trusting her with my dog's safety. My dog trusts me and I took her somewhere she was harmed. As someone who depends on reviews, I had to share my story and the picture of my baby's tongue. read more

Do not use this shop. My daughter took our aging Lhasa Apso named Cara in for a grooming. We'd been to this place many times without a problem. This time, however, the groomer cut our dog - badly. She has a 1" gash on her forehead and several others around her body. Normally we get to stay with her because she is almost 20 but this time my daughter was told they would call us when Cara was ready. After over 2 hours of waiting, my daughter tried calling but could not get an answer. After 5 tries, she went there and found that the groomer had cut our dog. She then tried to blame it on us because the dog's hair gets matted. You don't put a 1" cut in a dog's forehead because she was matted. You gently cut the matted hair free then clip what is left. The groomer did this but it is the owner that hires her. Below are a few pictures of what was done to our poor Cara. I won't return to this shop. I suggest no one else return as well. read more

The place greets me with musky and stinky air when I walked in....the owner was extremely rude when she called me to pick up my dog...25 minutes later, she called me again and said "Did you not hear when I called you 20 minutes ago that your dog is ready?" When I picked up my dog, her neck smelled like pee, and she didn't smell like she's been shampooed, and her hair still had knots...looks as if she's not been bathed, or brushed properly, just had her hair trimmed...never had THIS BAD of grooming or customer service EVER! Maybe because this is a "free" grooming session since she's adopted from Palms n Paws and given a free grooming....CERTAINLY WILL NEVER BE BACK!!! read more

First time going was this past Friday. I left them a message on Tuesday after hours, they called back Wednesday morning and we got an appt Friday morning. We did de-shed and groom (cost $57). My cat was acting super confident afterwards, which is more than I can say for prior Florida groomers. I also heard they groom no-kill shelter animals for free and they typically are quick to get adopted! Our cat is a ragdoll, last grooming was 1 year ago. This location was convenient and well worth the money. My only issue was that one of my dogs had a "coin-slot" shape in his fur where they cut a little deep. But after a week you can hardly tell. Apart from that the place was great. read more

This may be the ONLY place for pet grooming in Twentynine Palms....The location is great and centrally in the downtown area. There are not many spots for parking so if you have to park you will have to drive either around the block to get behind or go down the narrow driveway (which is easy to miss). The staff are mostly friendly and always take my pet on walk-in which is helpful. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with my recent visit in which I was charged DOUBLE what I normally pay for a nail clipping. Nail clipping should never be expensive and this is the most I have ever been charged. I feel that since they don't list prices in the shop they should have notified customers in person at the recent price hike. I can understand $1 or $2 , but double is rude. read more

Awful grooming service for large breed dogs. Regardless what you ask for they will cut your dogs hair which ever way "they" feel best. Asked for a trim and got what one could say is basically a buzz cut. Customer service was also more than subpar when told that the cut wasn't what was asked for. Multiple excuses were made, however the owner was not willing to accept responsibility. PETCO is definitely the better option. Go there instead. read more

I just have to give the biggest thanks to all the staff at 29 Paws Pet Grooming! They are amazing on every level: my German Shepard comes out extra handsome w his head held high every time he comes here, and now my Corgi is 6ft taller. The staff even puts a cute scarf around their colar. They even help me walkout my GS to my car. Took my dog Beau in for grooming Robin and Meghan groomed him exactly as I requested which when I got him home and looked at him (Maltese/Terrier mix) I saw Colonel Sanders and I thought well you did say you liked him to have a little bit of a beard. When I took him back in some weeks later, I told them that first of all they did exactly as I requested and said I should have said more of a goatee than the Colonel or Zee Zee Top. My experience at 29 Paws could not have been better! From the moment we walked in the door, Robin and Megan treated my German Shepherd and Poodle as if they were their own.
