Hailey was my stylist. Not having a salon cut for several years, I relied on her expertise. I had long uneven, curly and frizzy hair. I asked only that my hair not fall in my face and that it be no shorter than my shoulders. Hailey did a phonomnal style! She cut it perfectly! It feels lighter and doesn't fall in my face! I got a hair cut, wash and style by Jade. I have thick hair with waves/loose curls and hadn't had a cut in over a year! So I knew it was going to be a lot of work. Im so happy that I got Jade as my stylist. She was super friendly and easy to book with from the start. During my appointment, she was super attentive, listened to exactly what I wanted, made suggestions and checked in with me along the way to make sure I was happy with my hair. I love how much attention and detail she put into my cut - specifically the layering and thinning which is a must for me. I had to write a review for Lilly Mendoza, she did my makeup for a photoshoot and all I can say is WOW! I will be attaching pics of her beautiful work. She was extremely professional, efficient, and was so fun to chat with through the process. This photoshoot was non-traditional- a goth-glam theme to highlight my clothing/costume designer. I was not 100% sure what I wanted; I showed her a few inspiration photos and pics of the outfit/costume/theme and said do your magic! What she came up with exceeded my expectations. I go here about every six weeks for color and a cut from Nancy, who is nothing short of AWESOME. My sister was visiting in June and wanted her bleached blonde hair to be a more natural blonde. Nancy spent over 30 minutes listening to her concerns and making suggestions before doing ANYTHING to my sisters hair. When she was done my sister was speechless. She couldn't believe how AMAZING her hair looked and felt. Nancy is always so friendly and helpful with suggestions. The color I get ranges from auburn to brown (depending on my mood) and it always looks so natural and not from a bottle at all. She did an hombre on me a couple of years ago that was flawless as well. I can't recommend her enough. You won't go wrong with Nancy AT ALL. read more

After getting my haircut done by her I will now only go to this place and ask for her even if it's out of my way. She did such a great job with I asked for and could not have asked for a better experience. I got my hair cut yesterday by Jin. I am giving two stars because I can live with my hair cut but not what I asked for. Also, great blowout. I asked for a Lob and she said what I am hearing is Victoria secret model. Ummmm.... no. Lob is not a Victoria Secret model haircut. ( I probably should've left but I needed a haircut) Jin was a sweet and funny lady. However, I don't think she is on top of new hair trends. I don't know the history of a Lob but it doesn't seem like a drastically new trend. Based on the clientele I would say that this is an older women hair salon. Not a bad thing but not catered to the younger crowd looking for something fun. So if you want like highlights or low lights go here. I wouldn't go asking for anything complicated like a Lob or balayage. read more

Understand, when I was younger, the only place I got my hair done was in those cheap asian places. I've been looking around for a place that didn't terribly remind me of these places. I needed a place where I wouldn't feel like they were talking about me in some language I couldn't understand. I needed a place where, if I went in for a dye job, I wouldn't come out with horribly streaked hair (which, unfortunately, did happen once). I needed a place where I could go in, and the stylist wouldn't just give me what I wanted, but knew what was best for my hair and my face shape. The asian salons just weren't cutting it. I've tried places like Regis, but I just don't have that kind of money to spend. Then my cousins recommended my current hair stylist, Michelle, and my hair has never felt better. She knows exactly what's good for my hair. I can go to her with no idea what I want to do with my hair, and have complete trust that, with a few parameters, she'll come up with a great, sometimes new, style for my hair. I trust her completely with my hair. I'm not leaving her anytime soon. read more

Okay so my last review was for Janelle. But Salon Allure has an even better Hair Dresser! Her name is Nancy! She is amazing, better then amazing! She actually massages the color into your hair. She just stands there and rubbing it in. I have never had such amazing service! She listens to what you want (I had 2 colors in my hair went form red (all colors of red) to Blonde on top and Black on bottom) cuts your hair with your opinion plus she styles it for free! She is an amazing hair dresser and I will not allow another person to touch my hair as long as she is in the same state! (gotta think of gas lol) read more

I've been wanting bangs for the longest time and I always backed out at the very last minute and never went through with it. Jin is amazing, she listens, gives great feed back and is very detailed in her explanation and pricing break down. Sadly I had a botched bleach job from another salon that required for me to chop off my long locks as it was all breaking and legit orange. Even after cutting off 7 inches I still had some of the botched bleach in my hair. When my hair grew out I went to see her and she saved the day. Jin gve me exactly what I wanted. A soft caramel bayalage ! Finally!! Someone who can work with my hair who listens and left it feeling healthy and oh so soft. I also have dye resistant greys Jin is the first stylist who has been able to cover them and keep them covered. I have been to so many stylist who can't keep my greys at bay but again Jin comes to the rescue! She is my go to for every event we have and I need my hair styled. She knows all the current techniques and styles so anything I ask for she is ready. read more

I had my first haircut here today and I loved it! This shopping complex seemed a little sketchy at first but as soon as I walked in the salon it was beautiful and clean, and very very busy! I had Lily as my stylist and she was so personal. We chatted the whole time, and it wasn't awkward like it can be sometimes with some stylists. She did a fantastic job, especially with my thin frizzy hair. I asked for bangs and she did exactly what I wanted. And it was fast, which I liked! It took 40 minutes for a wash and cut. And it was very reasonable! $40 (plus tip). I was paying over $80 other places and they weren't nearly as good as Lily. I'm so looking forward to going back to her! Full service salon with great staff! The layout of Salon Allure is huge and once you are sitting in a chair getting your hair done, nails "did", etc., you will appreciate the open floor plan. You are always greeted by a friendly face and you will be asked if you need anything to drink - coffee, tea, water, or even wine. Need anything else? You will probably be asked; since the staff really take the time to make sure you are comfortable and have a magazine or anything else you might request. I had my makeup done here for a wedding I was in, and I also had my hair styled by Dave. Dave is an industry veteran who is an expert in color. When I had my hair done, Dave really made sure we created a look that I was happy with - and something the bride was approved of as well. The theme of the wedding was vintage/1930's-1940's. All of the girls looked amazing and some have converted already to Dave as their permanent hair stylist - no joke! ** Now here is the real reason I am sold on Salon Allure ** I exclusively go to Salon Allure to get my manicures and pedicures from Karen. If you want a great mani/pedi that lasts, book your appointment with Karen. No, seriously, book it now! I've been to all sorts of places to have my nails done and no one tops Karen. My feet feel amazing after - every time! My polish lasts way longer than on my own or other places I've been to and you can tell Karen really takes the time to do a quality job. Whatever it takes for your feet to look pretty, that is what will be done (no hidden fees for "scrub" or anything like that). I have been contemplating cutting my almost waist-length hair for some time. I really wanted to donate it but obviously wanted to wait until I felt emotionally ready to do it. I made an appointment with Alice and prayed! I was very pleased with my cut. I originally wanted to go shorter but she suggested that I make the cuts gradually. I ended up donating about 12 inches of hair (so it comes up just right above my shoulder). I am so happy that I listened because that same week I saw some girl at work who also donated her hair and she was in tears talking about her experience. She has this ugly chin length hair that just looks a hot mess on her. I went back a couple weeks ago to just get a trim and added some snazzy bangs. Def will be my new hair salon. My stylist is nancy. I have long thick hair. Often stylist struggle to cut my hair type. When I met nancy she took the time to listen to my concerns and fears ( hair is a sensitive topic). She took real care to cut and talk me thru everything. Nancy is very respectful. In the end my hair looked fabulous. I get tons of compliments on my hair after a cut with NAncy.
