The sandwiches were insanely huge and taste is also big. Met the owner Wanda and everyone was so nice. I think they just moved to this location so everything is nice and clean. Will definitely come back to try other sandwiches.

I recently had my good friend order us a sandwich while I was driving down from San Clemente. I asked for mine on white bread, and he prefers brown, so he ordered half white and half brown. Unfortunately, the sandwich came half brown and half white on both -- half white and half brown -- instead of making one sandwich on white and other half on brown. My friend mentioned it to the staff, and they asked him to "fix it" himself. Usually, if someone prefers wheat bread, they don't eat white, and vice versa, so that was a little disappointing I took wheat bread off and the white bread was a little soggy also.

First let me say this place is heaven sent and the customer service is beautiful the owner (I forgot her name) is the sweetest soul and her energy radiates I love this place and will definitely return I got a veggie sandwich and my daughter got a turkey sandwich the sandwich was big enough to share and taste amazing I love this place while I was there I spoke to the owner and she was saying she will be relocating soon ( I was like girl wherever you go I'm gonna be right there ) lol and I wish her all the prosperity she deserves

Upon my arrival, I noticed that the staff was quite busy preparing sandwiches for other patrons, which may explain why I wasn't greeted right away. However, I appreciated that when they did approach me, it was with kindness. I informed them that I was waiting for a friend to join me for lunch. After about twenty minutes, the staff followed up, possibly to check if they could take my order or if they were closing soon. I felt a bit hurried but also unsure if I was being encouraged to place my order. I asked if I could take a moment to browse the menu and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the sandwiches were generously sized and filled with fresh ingredients. I requested my sandwich without spicy Cajun mayo and no tomatoes. While it arrived as ordered--without tomatoes--it unfortunately still had the spicy mayo. Fortunately, they allowed me to keep that sandwich, which was a nice gesture, and promptly remade my order without the spicy mayo. I was grateful for their attentiveness. My friend chose the tuna melt and seemed to thoroughly enjoy it, indulging in half of her sandwich. Each sandwich came with chips and a delightful mini dessert, a whoopie pie. I must say, one sandwich is more than enough to satisfy two, if not three, people. I'll definitely be returning, but I think I'll share a sandwich next time! I took just a couple of bites and already felt full. Thank you again, Wanda; I truly appreciate the wonderful experience you and your team provided. You made our afternoon exceptional! The total for both sandwiches plus a soda into chips we're about $57 with tip $64 And let's not forget the free one that I was able to take home that they allowed me to keep that is exceptional customer service

This deli restaurant is a MUST TRY! Run don't walk, and make sure to double check their hours to ensure they are open when you go. This is a black woman owned business and I was happy to support! The sandwiches are humongous, definitely shareable or can be split into two or three meals. Your sandwich also comes with a large pickle, bag of kettle chips, and a moon pie. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Salad sandwich and it did not disappoint. The chicken tasted extremely fresh and the flavor was absolutely delicious. The bread was also fresh. This sandwich did have more of a kick than I thought it would, so be prepared for that. I also tried the Jerk Turkey Sandwich and that was also amazing. It comes with fresh cut turkey and the mango habanero sauce set it off! This is also pretty spicy as it also comes with jalapeños and pepperoncinis. This is absolutely a place you should visit for lunch or an early dinner. They have seating inside that offers a quick dining experience. I will be back. Highly recommend!

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER ! This place was amazing Wanda (the owner) was nothing but helpful and kind! Love her and her ability to communicate everything on the menu ! I would eat at a restaurant like this any day because of the hospitality. I got there after the lunch rush. The inside was quiet but I hear it gets busy. The sandwich was nothing less than amazing. My wife was with her friends that boot scoot dance at a church function and she was introduced to the owner of this establishment and she came home with a Turkey pastrami sandwich that to this day I HAVE NOT had another sandwich since. Dying for a sandwich on Monday, my wife said they were closed. Damn. So finally got a day off and hungry was gonna go to my usual wing spot (no not Wingstop) she busts in the room talking bout, "Do you want yo sammich fix?" I said, "hells yes- call it in I will be there to pick up." I use to drive pass here when I stayed in area but never stopped. I walked in an felt a warmth over the place. Worker gave a great greeting and great customer service. The place is very nice and a nice setup. I picked up my food boxes and the heaviness made me walk out with a smile. Lots an ingredients, quality, and care go into these sandwiches. I always champion local businesses and the story of this one makes it more compelling. As BEHEMOTH as these sandwiches are the only roadblock that I hit when I review this lovely establishment is the price point. At $30 (you heard right) a sandwich I would've probably been a little more choosy with my lunch. If you're treating yourself and supporting a local business, perfect. If you're hungry but on a budget, sorry Charlie.

Customer service was 10/10. Wanda and her team were very friendly! The sandwiches are big and filling with quality ingredients which explains the price. One sandwich is good for 2 people and it comes with chips and a full pickle. They can be a little soggy if you wait too long to eat it because of the olive oil/vinegar on it. read more

GOOD GAWD ALMIGHTY!!! This place is a sandwich lovers DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!! My boyfriend and I were out driving around and decided we wanted to try some where new to eat rather than go to our usually Saturday spot. After browsing Yelp we came across 2nd Healthy Eatery. I told my boyfriend, let's go here! Upon arrival the place was spotless!!!!! Something that we have been battling with restaurants here lately. I mean there was not a dust bunny in sight! The ladies greeted with a super welcoming hello, told us where the menu was, and were to place our order. There were so many choices!!!! The best part was I don't eat meat and my boyfriend does. The menu accommodated dietary needs of all kinds! They even have gluten free bread on the menu. The other patrons raves about how good they were, so we waited with anticipation. All of a sudden a kind lady came out with our boxes and our mind was BLOWN!!! These sandwiches are HUGE, I mean they are seriously the largest sandwiches I've ever seen and I have eaten all over the United States. Now the on to the taste: exactly how we imagined. DELISH!!!!! The ingredients were so fresh and had amazing crunch. The deli Cheese and meat slices were thick cut so you can actually taste what you're eating. Their honey mustard is on point! And the deli sauce... now that's what a true sandwich gets. My final thoughts? We just discovered a gold mine! We were so happy and pleased. This review is long overdue. We have lived in the city of Bellflower for a couple years now and I must say this is the best sandwich shop we've been to EVER. From the quality to the service I'm telling you this place is a 10/10. Today my husband and I were craving something healthy and fresh, we realized 2nd healthy eatery was still open so we hurried up and made a call for a pick up order. It was 3:50pm and we didn't realize they closed at 4pm because Yelp has them open until 6pm. The woman who answered the phone was extremely helpful and seemed very excited to create our order, we showed up at 4:17pm (17 minutes after closing) and she welcomed us with such warmth. We have been here a total of 4 times now and the only complaint we have is that their hours aren't long enough. Thank you for being such a beautiful gem in the city of bellflower. Had the Wanda wonder sandwich it was amazing. The sandwich was full of turkey fresh vegetables with a dill pickle on the side would highly recommend. The staff is very helpful and recommendation on food items. The restaurant is very clean and I would highly recommend to First time goers. Most definitely will come back. I Absolutely love this Sandwich spot... The Sandwich is HUGE 2 people can share one. Finally was able to stop by and try one of their sandwiches. Tried the Smith Italian and oh my it was huge. Very big slices of meats. Which were delicious. I had to separate the sandwich and put some meats in the freezer. It was worth the money. read more

Wonderful neighborhood gem for great sandwiches that will definitely last for more than one meal - unless you're absolutely starved I got the dretta cajun and it had a nice subtle kick. If you're looking for a healthy and delicious spot to eat, this is the place to go. We recently ordered sandwiches from Wanda and her team for an event at CSULB. They were so accommodating (they even made a special delivery for a gluten free sandwich was accidentally left out of the order) and the food was DELICIOUS! The portions are huge and the boxes they came in made it easy for each person to take home leftovers. We'll definitely be ordering from them again! read more

I am SO glad we stumbled upon this place today! I have never in my life seen such incredible sandwiches..they are HUGE! And my children, who are very picky eaters, couldn't stop talking about how amazing the turkey was. They use only high-quality Boars head meat, which is a far cry from regular cold cuts. I had the protein power sandwich, which was a vegan chickpea salad sandwich and was SO flavorful and came with a gigantic crispy pickle. The establishment was nice and clean , And Wanda, the owner, was so sweet to us. I wish her many many years of success here at 2nd Healthy Eatery. She set the bar for sandwiches! Really nice sandwich shop! The owner was friendly and greeted me when I came in and helped recommend a sandwich when I asked. I got the Smith Italian and it was insane, absolutely massive. The food here is so good. Ordered the Tuna salad sandwich, accidentally got chicken salad, but it was so good I'm not upset in the slightest. The ladies running this place are the sweetest. Only thing is that I wish they had a full menu, none of their desserts or drinks were posted so I missed out on those. I will be coming back for sure very soon. Hands down best customer service I've had! Wanda is an amazing lady there who give that Real home vibe to it, and they make sure you EAT. The meat is all boars head brand and they are NOT stingy with it. Honestly was looking for a quick bite before the beach and got so much more than expecting. AMAZING read more

Honestly, this place deserves more than five stars. The sandwiches are packed with a pound of meat. For the amount of sandwich that you get it's worth the price! These sandwiches can't feed a whole entire nation! Not only are the sandwiches stacked, they are also very exquisite and full of flavor. They're not playing around here. Everything is cut fresh daily, the meat and cold cuts are very fresh. The owner is a sweetheart. she makes the sandwiches quickly and make sure that the sandwiches are presentable. My favorite was a jerk chicken. she hit me with some sweet chili sauce. At the first bite You catch nothing but flavor. As you keep eating it You catch A bit of a kick. I was lucky enough to try Ms Wanda's food yesterday and my taste buds were more than delighted! What a beautiful soul who truly cares about what she puts out into the community. The service is more than efficient and besides good things take time! The facility is clean and open and theres a window where you can see the ladies putting all the love into your food! Very fulfilling dining experience for me and I will return because her menu is jam packed with items Im dying to try! Much love to Wanda Kendricks for this establishment and please make a trip to experience her food, you won't be disappointed. I had the spicy chicken salad sandwich with veggies and my fav banana peppers! It was SO flavorful and the spice was not overwhelming. Finally stopped by, this place does NOT disappoint. Service: welcoming and knowledgeable Ambiance: fresh and clean Food: this sandwich is so good. No MSG is a plus! I had the chicken salad sandwich and man it was so good and filling. It's so big as well I ate half and the rest saved for later! I also bought a green juice. I don't think I was ready for how delicious my sandwich from 2nd Healthy Eatery was. This was my first time eating there and I ordered the Mykell Delight and when I tell you that first bite caught me 100% off guard...first off the sandwich was HUGE and definitely worth the price. But it was also packeddd with flavor. The combination of flavors was legit top notch. It was honestly probably the best sandwich I've ever had. And this is coming from a native New Yorker where they are known for having a great deli scene. The owner even came out and spoke with us when she found out it was our first time there, she was very warm and welcoming. I'm definitely adding this place to my regular spots and I can't wait to try the other sandwiches. I can only imagine what the desserts tastes like...yikes can't wait to come back read more

Do I go back? Definitely not. I had very bad feeling almost feel like I was ripped off. Sandwiches are enormously gigantic and price are steep. Probably can share one sandwich for two or more peoples. I paid $24 for one sandwich. There is NO PRICE on the menu board. You find out the price after you ordered the sandwiches. Glad to have this spot close to me. Came here because I heard they cater to vegans/vegetarians. I ordered the Grilled cheese & avocado sandwich. You choose your bread, cheese, and the veggies. I went with squaw bread, Colby cheese, red onions, cucumbers, sprouts, black olives, and banana peppers. So, so good! The sandwiches are fairly large. I ended up giving half to my sister. Great customer service. Wanda, the owner, her daughter, and the other staff were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches. read more

I was told to try 2nd Healthy Eatery. I stopped by today and purchased the Turkey Pastrami. This was the best Turkey Pastrami I have ever ate. The Pastrami was so big I was unable to eat one half. Went by here for lunch, service was great and the woman at the counter offered to make one sandwich less spicy for us. That was pretty cool. For $10/sandwich I wasn't sure what I was getting, but when she brought them out I understood. Easily, one sandwich is enough for a family of 4. It tasted great, and I would definitely visit again. What would have made me give them a 5? I would like to see a more appropriate serving option. Perhaps sell 1/2 sandwiches at a lower price? I'm a little concerned about how your signs extol the virtues of healthy eating but portions don't reflect anything near what would be considered a healthy serving size. So, for anyone confused: the service was great, the food was good with fresh ingredients, but I can't in good conscience spend $10+ on a single sandwich on a regular basis or eat that much food on a regular basis. read more
