I ordered a small chicken teriyaki bowl. When it came out, it was just plain rice & chicken, with no veggies. I've gotten it in the past before, and I remembered there were veggies on it, so I went to the cashier and asked her if it came with veggies in the past. She mentioned that "chicken & veggies" is a separate bowl that I have to specify (the menu is a bit unclear), so I asked if I can pay the difference to get some veggies in my bowl. She says yes, and charges me $7.60. Keep in mind the small bowl was ~$10, so the veggies are worth almost as much as the bowl? So I told her I don't need a lot, just the small portion that she usually puts in the mini bowls. She spoke to someone who looked like a manager of sorts, and I watch her nod her head no. I'm not asking for much, literally just a small handful, but $7.60 seems a bit extreme for forgetting to ask for it inside the bowl a few minutes ago. They should have the option to charge a smaller amount for a smaller amount of veggies, and to be honest, if it was just already there in front of her it would have nice to just give me a little out of courtesy. Their policies just seem a little strict and it did deter my experience. Still giving 3 stars, because prices are decent overall. read more

I used to go to Golden Bowl, and I still do when I'm trying to save a little money. Teriyaki House Grill definitely isn't the cheapest option, but the quality of the food is worth the extra cost. Unfortunately, my last visit left a bad impression. I brought my youngest daughter here for a late-night dinner, and the music was extremely loud and filled with explicit adult language. It made both of us uncomfortable, and now she cringes every time I even mention coming back. The food is great, but I hope management is more mindful of the music they play. Families with kids come here too, and creating a more family-friendly atmosphere would make a big difference. I'd love to come back if that changed. read more

Theres was a bug on the actual fries, this was a picture when the bug crawled up onto the bag, The employee denied it and said it came from outside, speaking in spanish to her coworkers. I guess she assumed I didnt speak spanish. This is the second time theres an issue here, Not sure if the purposely did this today, when I decided to give them a second chance. read more

Takeout review: I kind of let this review sit for a bit because I didn't know how I felt about the unusual combo of chicken teriyaki and fries. Sounded like a crazy late night idea at first. But can confirm after some time, I've been kind of craving them again. Something about it just works. Feels less dirty than chili cheese fries but more tasty than a standard bowl. I was very disappointed with my experience at Teriyaki House Grill. While eating my broccoli, I found two worms in my food. This was extremely concerning and instantly made me lose my appetite. I understand that mistakes can happen, but finding two worms in the same order is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the food preparation and cleanliness. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and reviews its food handling and cleaning procedures to prevent this from happening to other customers. It was my first experience with the food at this place. I have a hard time trying new teriyaki spots because I'm very particular about the sauce. I find that, at many casual/quick service restaurants, it's either too salty or too sticky sweet. But I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki bowl. I also tried the beef bowl but didn't care for the beef that much. The massive chicken teriyaki burger was pretty good. It' lives up to its name "massive" and has a lot of toppings so it gets a bit messy. I can't speak to the service or ambience because I ordered through a delivery service. read more

The service is always super friendly and relatively quick and they always have a clean interior space. I had the most delicious teriyaki half chicken, half beef bowl ever here. It's so good, I've been back 3 times. The staff is efficient and they get you in and out. The ambiance is that of an older restaurant and smaller but that's not a big deal since most people get their food to go. We found this restaurant because of their yelp reviews were very positive. So it's Sunday afternoon. We're running some personal errands and we are hungry so we stopped in. This restaurant is a fast casual. It's located in a retail shopping center and there's plenty of parking. We really enjoyed the food. Tasty. Chicken was tender and they did not overdo the sauce, you need to purchase more, though. My fish was cod, crispy, and hot. Not really sure why this place is rated so highly. It's not bad but hardly over 4 stars. The Teri chicken was chewy as if it was overcooked. The Teri beef was decent enough. Reminiscent of Golden Bowl but those guys just do it better. I will say the sauce is pretty good. Not extremely sweet and not a glob of teriyaki sauce like many places. If the chicken had been better, I would have given them a 4 star rating. Parking isn't too bad but it is in a strip mall so it just depends on the time of day you happen to arrive. The service here was excellent and the food comes out quickly. Possibly already cooked explaining the rubbery consistency of the chicken. The price you pay for the quantity of food is definitely a good value. I might be willing to give them another shot if I happen to be in the area and have a craving for a teriyaki plate. read more

I've been here twice now, and both times I've noticed something frustrating -- the customers before or after me weren't charged for extra sauces, but I always seem to get charged when I ask for extra ranch or teriyaki. It feels inconsistent and a little unfair. I just ask that you apply the same policy to everyone -- no one likes feeling singled out.
