If you're looking for more brand items I think Noho store is better. They have more sections. This store is walking distance from York st (F) about 10min or less.

They said the bag had "too much wear and tear".

An expensive thrift store. A lot of handbags were outdated. Didn't buy anything so cannot comment on the service.

L Train has single handedly gotten me more "Damn where did you get that from lil bro it looks…read morefire..." than any other clothing store in Manhattan, and on an inflation buster budget. I'm so sick and tired of going into a "vintage" store where T-shirts are $100 and up. It goes against the whole ethos of vintage clothing smh. The whole fun of shopping vintage is coming up on a piece for the low. Shirts at L train are typically between $8-$15, unless they're hanging up on the wall then they will run you ahahaha. They have such a big inventory and wide selection of items that it may get overwhelming, but if you come in here locked in and keep your composure you will come up on something forsure. Go during the week though if possible, it's a ZOO on the weekends you'll be fighting for your life. I have gotten my 3 favorite pairs of jeans here for under $40 total, the velvet suit jacket I'm wearing in the attached pic for $12, some Lebron 3s that have become my outdoor hoop shoes for $40, and more shirts than I can count. L Train is so great, in fact, that it has almost become cool to hate on. If you're lowkey insecure about your homie having a better fit on than you, you try to get ahead of it and clown him by saying "You hit L Train today, huh?" THANK YOU L TRAIN! PLEASE DON'T SWITCH UP! We happened to get lucky and be there on a 50% off sale day. I bought a really pretty vintage blouse from Bergdorf Goodman - I liked it a lot when I tried it on but I noticed that it was missing a button. I mentioned it to one of their desk staff and she brought over another staff member who she said was great with buttons. They offered to replace some other buttons that were getting a little loose if I wanted to wait. I thought that was a really nice service and not something that you find too much. I also noticed while browsing around that they have some really beautiful coats and purses. Agree with others that this store is pretty upscale and not quite inexpensive enough to be a true "thrift shop", but it does seem a good place to shop and potentially get some great finds. I'll definitely make my way over there again.

Very interesting stuff here and a great spot if you're a thrifter.

Trash…read more& Vaudeville sells mainly punk, goth, and alternative clothes (think huge bell bottom pants with safety pins and chains). I was also impressed with their band shirts. Lots of Blondie, Bowie, The Clash, The Ramones, etc. Large downstairs selection of sale items and shoes. Staff were laid back, but made themselves available if I needed anything. I was reading how some well known punk bands used to shop here in the 70s and how they were one of the first to stock Doc Martens. A nice nostalgic walk down memory lane, with the LES and East Village used to be real PUNK.

My Queen and I stopped in during our "U&ME N' NYC" weekend, and the experience was pure magic. She's a tall woman, and when she steps into her heels, she elevates not only her height but her entire presence. I love matching her altitude -- walking beside her eye-to-eye with confidence and style. Thanks to Trash & Vaudeville, I found the perfect way to rise with her: a pair of Underground/T.U.K. black suede platform creepers with that classic bold sole. These shoes don't just look incredible -- they give me the lift to match her elegance, her stride, her spirit. This is the first of many ways I'll create comfort at any altitude with my Queen. And let me say this: rockabilly isn't just nostalgia -- it's rising again, underground style pushing back to the forefront. These creepers are part of that revival, and Trash & Vaudeville is still the epicenter of the scene. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out with that iconic pink bag, we felt welcomed, seen, and styled with soul. If you want fashion with history, heartbeat, and edge -- Trash & Vaudeville is the place. We'll be back. Because once you find your tribe, you return to them.
