Delicious! The gauc was really tasty and went well with the chips. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and my boyfriend got the supreme burrito and ask for sour cream to be added inside the burrito. He ate the burrito so fast with a huge smile on his face the entire time. My enchiladas were so good and very rich. The cheese wasn't wimpy, it was solid cheese goodness throughout the entire dish. For those with Celiac disease (like me) or avoiding gluten, I asked about all my dishes and if there was flour used in anything or if it was all corn and was happy to learn it was all corn based. We wanted something quick before class - but they were open before 11 am and we happened to get there early, so we ended up enjoying our time there. The tacos are breaded and fried (there is an option to go grilled) with cabbage and pico. Two filled me up really quickly. For under $6 for two tacos, I was very satisfied. We shared cheese nachos - and it was more than enough for two people to share. My friend ended up getting a side order or rice and beans and soup. With drinks everything came out to be $26. New customer here. I told the gal taking my order that as well. Convenient location, abundant parking. This is a small counter with a bathroom in the back through the kitchen. This location is a little on the high traffic dirty side. I found the floors and ceiling to be pretty dirty. So what the heck, gave them a try anyways. I planned on tipping when I was done eating but in the end was not all that pleased. I am not sure but they gave me a peculiar look when I ordered and did not leave a tip in the jar. Well I am eating-in, so here in America it is customary to tip after eating not before. First they brought my order out in a to-go Styrofoam container, OK no real big deal I will just sit here at one of your tables with a Styrofoam container instead of a plate. Second they made a mistake on my order as well. Thirdly, the food was only average and the system to order is confusing and chaotic and the menu on the chalk board is hard to read. So try for yourself but sticking with my 3-stars. Lastly, their salsa bar utilizes those lousy 1-ounce containers which are almost impossible to dip a chip into; and they charge for chips and salsa anyway so it was a moot point. There is a better place that is a similar counter at Jans and Moorpark just a block or so away which is much better and has their act together. This was one of the first places I ate when I moved to Thousand Oaks and it quickly became one of my favorites. It may seem like a simple Mexican food place (tile floors, order at the counter, take a number, salsa bar), but the food is consistently good and well prepared. I usually get the fish tacos and my hubby loves the 3 amigos burrito with carnitas (huge and flavorful). The staff are friendly. The restaurant always looks clean even when it gets busy. Prices are on par with Baja Fresh, but the food is much better. I get the breaded fish tacos and it's always crisp, never tastes like it's been fried in old oil, flaky fish, great sauces, perfect portion.' Solid neighborhood restaurant with fresh Mexican food. Really enjoy this little mom and pop Mexican restaurant. I've been several times, and the staff are knowledgeable about the menu and friendly, not to mention they all speak fluent Spanish. I had a chicken quesadilla with a side of chips and guacamole. Comes with lettuce/tomatoes, sour cream and guacamole. I really like how much flavor the food here has compared to your Sharky's and Baja Fresh restaurants, and they don't chintz on the portions but they're not enormous, either. The guacamole is really tasty, but in my opinion was a bit heavy on tomatoes. You can't scoop up a nice, satisfying hunk of the green stuff without getting a dozen tomatoes lol. The guac is also a bit spicy, but I like spicy. There is also a salsa bar with pico de gallo, cilantro/lime/jalapeno bowls, mild green salsa, hot chunky salsa, and hot red salsa. Mmm mmm good. Side note: I accidentally left my purse here in a brain fart moment, and I called the restaurant and they had it behind the counter. Thank god. Have been to this location a couple of times for lunch and the Newbury Park location quite a few times. I have never been disappointed. Their food is well priced, large portions and wonderfully good and fresh. Have never had a bad meal here. We love the tacos (soft and hard), but I especially love the breaded fish tacos. We also love the nachos (steak and chicken), the quesadillas (all of them), and the carne asada burritos. The location in Newbury Park is right across the street from the high school, so if you are going to go there for lunch, get there a bit before noon or about 12:40 to beat the rush of students who flock to the place. 3 Amigos is a wonderful find in the Moorpark Road and Arboles area of TO, nearby to the CLU campus. You almost have to look to find 3 Amigos, as it's in the corner of the strip center. It's worth the effort though. I think of 3 Amigos as a mom and pop Sharky's, but in a more traditional Mexican way. The food is good and fresh and more "authentic" Mexican than Sharky's, though, and I like that. Hey, after all you're going for Mexican food, right? There's plenty of parking in the strip center lot. Walking into the restaurant you'll find perhaps 8-10 tables. The place isn't big. It's clean and bright inside, and you'll walk through the dining area to the counter to order. The large menu is behind the register, kinda like at McDonalds, and it's above the peek-through to the kitchen. A ,salsa bar sits to the left of the counter along with a fountain drink station. Try the 3 Amigos burrito con carnitas enchilada style. You won't be disappointed. The burrito is large with lots of tender, juicy carnitas, and the Mexican yellow rice inside is good, too. On top the enchilada sauce with cheese makes the burrito outstanding. It kinda surprised me how good the burrito was, as I was expecting just another fast food burrito. No. This was an exceptionally tasty burrito that rivals any you've ever had, imoho. It's all made even better by excellent home made salsas found at the salsa bar. Chips and salsa are extra $$ for take out. Booo! Despite the pay-for chips the prices at 3 Amigos are a treat. This is very good Mexican food, made to order, at a decent price. Delicioso! read more

I hope they never stop making it because it's just the best for knocking a cold right out of your system. I got the 3 amigos chicken burrito (gotta have my guac) and the flavors were fresh and the chicken was nice and juicy. Burrito comes with a tray of chips as well. Let me be blunt.......I love their food! The problem is with parking and the line I always seem to run into whenever I go there. Don't get me wrong, they manage to whiz through that line of customers and put out a quality product every time. It just never works out where I can get there and just walk straight up to the register to order. I love their signature dish, the Three Amigo Burrito. I'm trying to sample other burritos, but the Three Amigo wins out the majority of the time. Went to this place today. My husband ordered fish tacos and I got some nachos. Food was ok not the greatest. My nachos did not look appetizing. Giving 3 stars for the fish tacos. They were so-so.
