They got some fire sauce options to pair up with the sandwich and fries. They also have spam musubi, I'll have to try that next time I come. Pricing was a bit high, but kind of expected. I spent a little over $18 for a sandwich with fries and a drink. Inside there is very few seats so don't expect to get a seat if you come during a lunch rush. There are not any bathrooms here. Located in a busy cross section of town, I came across 3 Birds one night when we were grabbing some food at another fast food place in the same mall and wanted to come back to try it. A few days later, I stopped by and decided to go inside to order in person. Inside you're able to see all the side dishes as well as see how exactly your food is being made. The food is good. The chicken was very flavorful and crunchy. The sandwiches are quite big and very generous with the toppings, Although my husband said he prefers Kane's. Mainly because 3 Birds only serves dark chicken meat. The fries were just ok. I was expecting better. I did agree with my husband who said that the food was quite salty since a couple of hours later I noticed that my fingers were swollen when I couldn't take my rings off, lol. Count me in! 3bird specializes in crispy and juicy fried chicken - while offering unique healthy options that you put in a bowl. You'll pick your base and sides as if you're at chipotle when you order. The menu will consist of several options. The first one (and the most unique in my opinion) is creating your own bowl. You'll have the option of either choosing salad and/or rice as your base. Their side ranges from asian curry salad to apple coleslaw (my personal fave). After finalizing my base, I opted for 3 chicken wings - choosing flavor "OMG Spicy". It was honestly so crispy + juicy.... plus having the salads cooled down the spice. If you can handle spicy, I'd highly recommend going with that option. We also got their signature monster sandwich.... that was HUGE. And it has mozzarella inside? Literally 10/10!! As for our sides, we got their skinny fries and spam musubi. Skinny fries for me are my personal favorite kind of fries, and they paired really well with the monster sandwich. The spam musubi also was delicious as well. Parking: there's a free private lot, which is always nice to have, especially in LA. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The chicken is dark meat which means it is flavorful and moist. The crust is very very craggly and crispy- my favorite kind of fried chicken! The sides were just ok in my opinion. The mac and cheese wasn't a warm gooey mac and cheese, it was more like mac salad with shredded cheese. A little confusing. Apple coleslaw was nice and refreshing but not "wow" in flavor. I think adding some more fresh herbs would help it pop. In any case, I will be back because the fried chicken is so great. I think next time I would try a sandwich combo with fries so that I can get the great fried chicken but skip the sides.
